As we are approaching the 1 year anniversary of our fabulous St. Thomas wedding, I thought it was appropriate that I finally write my review of my experiences with Janelle and Island Bliss Weddings. I have been meaning to write this for some time now. The memories of the event were all made possible by the wonderful and detailed services Janelle provided. To this day I am overwhelmed with emotion when I think about how perfect she made our day.

Coordination- I thought planning a St Thomas wedding from New York would be stressful and a huge tasking but from my first conversation with Janelle…I knew we had made the right choice by selecting Island Bliss Weddings to plan our wedding. She was extremely helpful and answered every frantic question I had with a sense of calmness. I soon learned that I had nothing to worry about.

Ceremony- My husband and I were picked up at the cruise ship terminal and whisked off to get our marriage license. When we pulled up to the ceremony site….it took my breath away. We had specifically requested the area between the 2 palm trees on Megan’s Bay Beach for our ceremony (based on ceremony photos on her website). To our surprise we learned that Janelle was ‘between the palms’ first thing in the morning to guarantee that we had our special spot. The chairs were covered in white fabric and wrapped with the perfect shade of pink ribbon. The steel pan player was drumming away, weaved fans were placed on every chair and an endless supply of beer and rum punch were awaiting our 50 guests.

Stewart (Janelle’s husband) performed the ceremony and personalized the service just as we requested. We asked for humor in our ceremony and he left us all laughing throughout. We booked our photo and video services through Janelle. Paradise Pictures and HighDef Video. Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better……I received the final photos and video. Simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!

After the ceremony we boarded open air trolleys and headed to the Fat Turtle for finger foods and drink. Another wonderful recommendation!!!! A great time was had by all. We then all boarded the cruise ship for our reception. We booked the special steakhouse on the ship and continued our celebration as we were en route to our next port of call.

A BIG thank you to Janelle and Stewart for making our special day so memorable. We would not have done anything differently and you will be a big part of our wonderful memory every year.
