After meeting in 2010 just after the winter Olympics, Zeke and I quickly became inseperable. After some life changing family events, including Zeke's father receiving a heart transplant, our bond grew as we learned to be each others unwavering support systems.
Zeke is from Brisbane, Australia and myself Vancouver, Canada so we found a location right in between of our two countries to bring our family and closests friends to meet. Since we are rarely all together, we spent 4 days staying in a local set of cabins down on the beach. It was the most memorable week of sharing stories food and plenty of drinks but most importantly, turning two families in to one.
We had a small wedding with 24 guests at Kualoa Ranch on Oahu. My partner's love for Jurassic Park (it was filmed there) and my love for rolling green hills and trees made Kualoa Ranch the perfect location. We were one of the first people to use the site we had and the views speak for themselves. Our favourite part of the day was as our vows, which we had kept a secret from each other. My vows ended with the words, "Can we get a dog now?" and Zeke's ended with "Let's get a dog!"
