The story of our wedding

Location of the wedding was: Schloss Marienburg Castle in Hannover, Germany. It was not in the selction so I picked my hometown.

I'm originally from Texas but currently live in Germany. Germany is also where I met my now husband, therefore we decided the wedding should take place here as it is a meaningful place for our relationship. However, this meant half of our family and friends had to travel from the States, and another half from China. We also had many German friends participating so in the end it was a fusion of cultures. It brought a lot of trepidation as I wondered if I'm creating too much of a hassle for my friends. In the end, all except 3 people accepted our invitation, and all of the RSVP'd showed up for the event. In some cases, they were friends I haven't met in years and still flew that far to come; I was beyond happy. We had 68 adults and 5 children; it’s not a big wedding but a fun one to plan with multiple nationalities attending (US, Canada, China, Germany, Brazil…). Very grateful for our self-reliable, accountable and fun guests.
