The story of our wedding

Our 650 person, five day wedding at the Gaylord Texan was a dream. Sujith is South Indian and I am South Indian and Norwegian. We incorporated a bit of both of our cultures to create a gorgeous blended celebration of our love that we will never forget. Our love story is not conventional and neither was our wedding. But it was all absolutely perfect.

Sujith and Sitara first met in the Summer of 2019 through a Facebook group called Subtle Curry Dating, in which a post was initially created as a joke by Sitara's cousin. Despite the humor behind it, the two of them hit it off and fell in love after Sujith decided to take a chance and visit Sitara that August. Since then, they have been inseparable and have gone on many adventures together, from wild nights in Miami to cohabiting in an AirBnB in Minnesota at the beginning of the pandemic.

Their families already knew of each other and lived just five minutes away from each other in Colleyville, Texas, which was a pleasant surprise for both of them. In 2020, Sujith began his internal medicine residency in Austin, Texas, and Sitara started visiting him to spend more time in the city he called home. Eventually, her fondness for the city grew so much that she moved there in 2021. Together, they have explored the city, shared many exciting excursions with friends, and have grown as individuals and as a couple.
