The story of our wedding
We began our college careers in the summer of 2007 at La Salle and Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. We later crossed paths when we started training with Latin Nation Dance Company in 2010. After graduating in 2012 with our respective degrees, we reconnected at one of Zuly's dance performances and the rest is history!
On the afternoon of June 24, 2017 after Zuly's dance recital(she currently still teaches), we went to Philly for lunch and some cocktails. Zuly thought it was a normal day out in the city but she had no idea that there were other plans! After eating lunch, we went for a walk before visiting the next spot which was typical for us. We like doing several places on one visit. We then walked along race street pier under the Ben Franklin bridge since it was a gorgeous sunny summer day and when we got to the end before going down the steps, Zuly was completely shocked to see our family and friends holding a huge banner in front of the water saying "Zuly, will you marry me?". After processing what was happening, Zuly surely said yes! What more special way than to do it where it all started!
Continue reading »Our engagement photo session was one thing I will never forget. Our photographers shot a lifestyle session in our home doing things we normally do and we absolutely were in love with it.
One of our biggest projects for our wedding was choreographing our first dance. We worked on the mixing of the music, costuming, and choreopgraphy together. The love of dance brought us together and was the reason we were able to cross paths. We've grown together and fallen more in love with each other since that day. Our first dance was the first thing we did after being pronounced husband and wife and we just absolutely had a blast performing and sharing this moment without our closest family and friends.
Another cool thing was we were able to organize for our wedding was brewing our own beer at a local brewery. We came up with the recipe and were also able to name it. It was a huge hit at our wedding!
