Our Wedding Story: A Perfect Spring Celebration in Harpswell/Freeport
On a beautiful Thursday in April 24th, 2025, we celebrated by a windy beautiful scenic backdrop at George J. Mitchell Field in beautiful coastal Harpswell, Mainewe continued our celebration reception at the Harraseeket Inn, a place that quickly became so much more than just our venue—it became part of our love story. Nestled in the heart of Freeport, Maine, the Inn's timeless charm and cozy, historic atmosphere offered the perfect setting for our non-traditional spring wedding. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in warmth, care, and hospitality that made the entire experience unforgettable.
The staff at the Harraseeket Inn were nothing short of extraordinary. Every single person went above and beyond to ensure we and our guests felt cared for, welcomed, and celebrated. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and offered peaceful views—a quiet retreat for us and our guests between the festivities. We’re still hearing rave reviews about the food from The Porter Kitchen + Bar, and the breakfast buffet and afternoon tea, complete with live piano music, added such a special touch to the weekend.

We’ve always loved their gelato, so having them at our wedding was a dream come true. The gelato was absolutely incredible—rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. Our guests couldn’t get enough; some even said it was the best dessert they’ve ever had at a wedding! The team from Gelato Fiasco was a delight to work with—professional, kind, and totally on top of every detail. And one of our favorite moments after the wedding? Enjoying some leftover gelato together in the days that followed—just the two of us, reminiscing about the best night of our lives.
Speaking of feeling our best—Glam By Jojo made that happen. Jojo was a calming, confident presence in the getting-ready room, and her work was nothing short of magic. She listened carefully, honored every detail I dreamed of, and made me feel like the very best version of myself. Her talent, patience, and dedication were beyond anything I could’ve hoped for. Thanks to her, I felt radiant and completely at ease walking down the aisle.
As the sun set and the lights came up, Every Other Sunday brought the celebration to life. The band was incredible, reading the room and keeping the energy high all night long. From the first dance to the final song, they had everyone on their feet. We even overheard the band chatting with each other while packing up, reminiscing about their favorite moments from the night—which made us feel like our wedding was as fun for them as it was for us.
Our wedding wasn’t just a day—it was a collection of moments, made magical by the people and places that helped bring it to life. The Harraseeket Inn, Gelato Fiasco, Glam By Jojo, and Every Other Sunday didn’t just meet our expectations—they completely surpassed them. We’re so thankful to each of them for helping create a day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
