The story of our wedding

We were married in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, aboard Royal Caribbean’s the Harmony of the Seas on February 8, 2020. Our wedding was more than anything I could have dreamed up as a little girl. We are more than happy with the small intimate ceremony surrounded by our closest family (with a couple extra guests we didn’t expect who were sitting at a nearby bar). Our morning started with a quick breakfast together (joined by my parents, sister and her boyfriend). My mom, maid of honor (sister), bridesmaid (family friend), and I had to go to the salon for our hair and makeup. I had to change my original plan for hair, because of high winds, but I couldn’t have been happier with how our hair turned out. After hair and makeup, we went to my stateroom to get ready. After Mimosas ... and trying to talk a very uncooperative 2 year old into her flower girl dress... it was time to put on my dress and head down to our venue. I had to wait by the elevators alone (or with my parents from time to time) so there was no chance of the groom seeing me. I met with our wedding coordinator, who decided she had to refigure our exact location because of the size of my dress. Whoops. After what seemed like an eternity at the time, my dad and I were told where to stand so that my husband and I couldn’t see each other. Then everything started happening, so quickly it’s almost a blur. The music started. My bridesmaid, flower girl, and maid of honor started walking down the aisle and the next thing I know, the captain of the ship is saying “you may kiss your wife!” This really was the most amazing day, and I am so happy to finally be married to the love of my life!
