Matt and Michelle's Wedding in New Bern, North Carolina

The story of our wedding

We got married at Copper Ridge on the Neuse in New Bern, NC in May of 2019. We had a perfect spring day, where we were able to take photos around the venue before guests arrived for the waterfront ceremony. We said our vows infront of our closest family members and friends while overlooking the Neuse River. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the porch while we finished up photos. We were then introduced as husband and wife and did our first dance to our song, "Just the two of us." Followed by father/daughter and mother/son dances, a wonderful blessing done by my brother in law and great food and drink provided by Strange and Sons catering. The band then kicked things off and everyone either enjoyed dancing to the band or hanging out playing cornhole on the back patio.

It truly was the most wonderful day and we have an amazing team of vendors to thank for that!

A few favorite details included Matt's cufflinks from a trip to Italy, my borrowed veil from my best friend, having our siblings do readings in the ceremony, seeing our parents and grandparents dance the night away, our dogs who are a big part of us meeting in the first place on our koozies, cups and cake topper. My sister suprised us with big cutouts of us as little kids that everyone enjoyed dancing with!
