The story of our wedding
Our Sunset Garden Wedding. It was a sunny and mild day in early March, when we arrived early to take photos. We began in the conservatory where the photographer captured our "First Looks" and our couple's photos. Our formal wedding photos were taken outside in the soft afternoon light under the wisteria arbor. We then headed over to the Japanese Tea House for photos of the wedding party.
The ceremony began as the sun dipped low and leaving us in the shade. Although it started to gen chilly, the setting sun created a fiery backdrop of orange and yellow. Wild geese flew over as we said our vows. It was perfect.
We took the requisite family photos and the venue staff gave us a golf cart ride up the hill to the reception. Our favorite band, STIG, played fantastic funk fusion. Between sets we had our first dances, toasts and the rest of the usual wedding stuff. The Satanic Mechanics shadowcating alumni performed and led us in the Time Warp (again).
The caterer made sure that the reception went off without a single hitch (Catering by Alan of Ellicott City).
