The story of our wedding
Our wedding was at a historic mansion in Birmingham, Alabama. The whole setting was like a fairytale, complete with my soft tulle dress and chapel-length veil with hand-painted flowers at the hem. Our bridal party all held white rose bouquets, and my bouquet also had pink spray roses. Most of our decor was white, from the tablecloths, the garden chairs and the flowers. There were also hints of a rosy pink, such as the color of the bridesmaid dresses. The venue was the perfect backdrop for our bride and groom photos. There was an ivy wall with a grand staircase going down to the ground floor on the front of the house. The ceremony space was outdoors, but string lights criscrossed all the way across the space. The inside had an art deco theme, making us feel like we had transported to another time. I felt like I was at Cinderella's ball — it was the party of a lifetime!
