7 Aug, 2021The story of our wedding
One of our first trips while dating was Sedona, AZ. During that first trip I jokingly mentioned to Jose that I would like to get proposed there. As the years passed I forgot all about that mention until the winter of 2018, Jose planned for a family trip to Sedona for the day. During a jeep tour that we booked, the driver stopped for a break midway. It was then that I told Jose that this was the perfect opportunity to take a picture. So, as my brother was checking out the "lighting" for the photo and had me facing him, Jose was preparing the ground to get on one knee. As we began to take the picture Jose looks at me and begins to tell me how much he loves me and that he wanted to ask me a question. He knelt down and I said yes immediately! We had our wedding date set for 2020 but due to the pandemic we had to change the date 2 times. It all felt as if our wedding dreams would just fade away and lose the beauty of it. However, something I really cherished from our main vendors was the assurance that our day no matter when it would happen, would be so special and it was. I was very important that we felt comfortable with our photographer and videographer as we would spend most of our day with them, and they were both a dream to work with! It was a hot day so I appreciate their work ethic and their excellence even during the harsh weather. The venue provided us with farmhouse tables, which was one of my desires to have for the reception. The tables were clothed with a white runner and a centerpiece that included baby breath and white roses. Due to the venue having stunning views we decided to keep our decor very minimal. While I had various favorite moments during our wedding day the first look with my father was my absolute favorite. While my dad may not be one to show much expression, just seeing him smile as he turned around was everything I wished for. The father-daughter dance was so much fun, and I definitely enjoyed seeing my parents have so much fun on the dance floor! As we took some time away from the reception to take our bridal portraits I really enjoyed this private time with my husband. We were able to take in everything that we had experienced and finally see the big picture that we had dreamt of surrounded by our loved ones.
