The story of our wedding

One of my favorite times of the year is when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom. This is something my now-husband, Jessie Marc, is aware of and planned the perfect proposal: picnicking under the cherry blossom trees at our local Botanical Garden. I, of course, said yes! And then got into planning mode. I knew I wanted our wedding to be during cherry blossom season, but also during the month of March since that is when we started dating a few years prior.

Since we didn't want our wedding to be all outdoors, we picked a location that could provide both the outdoors with beautiful cherry blossom trees and an amazing indoor space. The Mariners' Museum and Park was able to provide both because the campus has a beautiful huge park surrounding a fairly large museum. Right outside the venue doors were some beautiful cherry blossom trees in bloom, where Jessie Marc and I did our first looks and couple photos on the wedding day. Our ceremony was able to be outdoors in one of the museum's courtyards, and since the courtyard was surrounded by the museum everything still felt private and intimate. During the reception we were able to have our guests explore the museum galleries and everyone from our friends to our family members said that was an awesome perk!
