The story of our wedding

We've been together long enough to understand that life isn't always simple. Some days are easier than others, but we've also been together long enough to be sure of each other. We know that no matter what, our love is tried and true. That is the way we love each other - with all our hearts, for all our days just as sure and steady as ever.

On a warm, late spring day in Jacksonville, Florida, Monica Harris and Jerome Davis exchanged vows in front of friends and family. Set in the historic Riverside area, at the Le Jardin on Park, with its consistent French themes throughout, the late afternoon ceremony went deep into the evening.

Family is very important to Monica and Jerome, and as such, their entire bridal party consisted of their children, unifying both families during the ceremony.

Monica looked stunning in the beautiful handmade dress, made by her mother just for her. Her sister also sang beautiful music during the ceremony. Father and son Bishops, Rudolph McKissik, Sr and Jr were both in attendance with McKissick Sr., Senior Pastor of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, the oldest African-American church in the State of Florida, officiating the ceremony.
