The story of our wedding
Our wedding was a dream, thanks in part to a perfect venue and Wedding Wire!
My now-husband and i got engaged in late June and married in early October. Though there was no rush, we decided to get married rather than wait a year. Thanks to Wedding Wire's amazing checklists and planner, we were able to make it happen!
We first picked the date - 10/4 - because it was available and we appreciate the quirkiness of the date, plus my husband likes to fly airplanes. We settled on the venue, a nearby working blueberry/lemon/avocado ranch that was both beautiful and convenient -- we appreciated that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception sites were all at the same locale.
I first found the florist, who recommended a cake person as well as the hair/makeup person, all of whom turned out to be great! I then found my dress, all within the first week after getting engaged! It was coming together better than expected...
Before I knew it, the invitations were in the mail and it was time to get serious! Our local pastor was available and thrilled to be able to marry us, and we found a fantastic photographer/videographer who exactly met our style. The site took care of the other details (rentals, DJ referral, etc.) so we were in good shape!
Continue reading »The day-of went off without a hitch, thanks mostly in part to the site, the Gerry Ranch. Their team had everything planned down to the minute, which made it a wonderful, no-stress day for me, which was great! It really did go by too fast, but it was amazingly wonderful, better than I ever could've hoped for in our wedding.
