The story of our wedding
Our wedding was A DREAM COME TRUE!
James and I got engaged in July of 2018, our 3 year anniversary of dating. We were walking on the beach around 10pm and he got down on one knee and I said "shut up". LOL I was so happy when he asked me to be his wife and immediatley started planning. I knew I wanted to get married in October so we set the date for 10.12.19 which meant I had plenty of time to plan. Shortly after we got engaged I got sick which put wedding planning on hold for months and months but I have always dreamt of getting married and having that fairy tale wedding so I didn't let being sick get in my way. I planned out EVERY DETAIL of our wedding down to the monogram bathroom mints and seashell toothpicks. I had an image and it came to life.
We rented a beach house for all our family and friends on Anna Maria Island and we were able to celebrate for days and days which was AMAZING! Our actual ceremony took place on Bradenton Beach under a dreamy driftwood arbor with flowers matching my bouquet. My 13 year old chihuahua Stella wore a matching flower crown around her neck as my step father pulled her in a wagon across the sand. The day was everything and more. I remember getting ready to walk down the aisle and feeling nervous but then when I saw the beautful sunny sky, the blue green ocean, the arbor with flowers and James standing there waiting for me I gained this confidence that I never knew was in me. It felt so right and I at that moment felt so happy and so beautiful and I felt like the only people there was just me and him. I get goosbumps just thinking about it. Our beach ceremony was everything and more.
Our reception was held at the Neptune Room about a mile down the road from the beach in this beautiful room with panarama views of the bay side. James and I had been going to dance lessons for our first dance and when we entered that room and did our routine I felt pure joy. The room had been decorated with greenery and flowers and white pumpkins and red apples just how I wanted it. My vision was Fall, coastal, boho and that's exactly how it was. There was 5 hanging hoops over our heads at the sweetheart table which made me cry when I saw them. Everything came to life and it was real and it was the best day of my life. I married my soulmate. We danced the night away with our friends and family, played fun games with the DJ and laughed. If I could go back and do anything over I wouldn't. It was our dream come true.
