18 Aug, 2018The story of our wedding
Our wedding ceremony was held at St. Augustine Parish in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin called Bay View. My husband was raised Catholic, and after a year dating he honored my desire to be confirmed in the Catholic Church. We decided to hold our wedding ceremony at the same parish. On the wedding day, our photographer was like a day-of-coordinator, he helped the wedding party with their boutonnieres and bouquets arranged by Jamier's Floral and simultaneously captured so many special wedding day moments. After the ceremony, we captured all our guests in a group photo blowing bubbles as we exited the church. The wedding party enjoyed a limo ride to the seminary gardens to pose in the lush green and warm August sunshine. When we arrived at the reception site on Milwaukee's east side, our guests had gathered in the garden of the historic Charles Allis Museum enjoying open bar and a self serve buffet of charcuterie provided by Gracious Events catering. Our photographer made us the center of attention and captured our new romance in an antique garden terrace and other historic rooms. We were in awe how beautiful the set-up and coordination of the place settings by Treasure Chest Relic and Rustic Rentals and 920 Events. After feast-style catering, we had a small three-tier pillar cake from Simma's Bakery topped with love birds on top. When we started dancing, Gracious Events provided a sweets table with key lime pastries and mini truffle milk shakes. We danced through the night and captured more photos after sunset in the museum garden. The theme of romance and elegance was beautifully displayed and we happily captured what was truly a mid-summer night wedding dream.
