The story of our wedding

Jake and I got engaged in March of 2019, 6 months after we started dating. We knew the whole time this was it and were so excited to be taking this next step.

Immediately after we got engaged we started planning out wedding, we knew it was going to be a quick turnaround since Jake was deploying in January 2020. Our first priority was finding a venue since whatever was available was going to determine our wedding date. We are SO BLESSED to have found WeddingWire, it gave us a variety of venues to check out in the area. We looked at 3 other venues before we decided to take the trip to Big Cork Vineyards, it was a little further away but it was vineyard in the mountains and looked so romantic. The moment we got to the vineyard we knew it was everything we wanted in a vineyard. After we found our venue and a date everything else seemed to fall together.

Our favorite part of wedding planning, besides the fun of it being planning for our wedding of course, was the food tasting. We had such a good time picking out food we may want at our wedding. We decided to stick with more traditional Italian food since it would go well with wine and the feeling of being at a vineyard. We tried some new things that we LOVED and found recipes so we can make it ourselves as well.
