The story of our wedding
How We Met:
It was a blustery February evening in Manchester, NH. The dusty air of J.W. Hills bar was ripe for match-making. I was having a girl's night out with Kara and Destiny. Isaac was out with the boys-newly returned from deployment. Destiny asked the boys to take our picture--they pretended to not know how to use a camera. From there we locked eyes and never looked back. He bought me a drink and we spent the evening dancing. The rest is history.
We were up in Vermont, enjoying the last day of our camping trip. Finally the rain had stopped and we could go canoeing on our favorite lake--Lake Willoughby. We paddled around for awhile then pulled up to a rocky beach to enjoy a cold beer. While I was snapping pictures, Isaac was skipping stones down below. He yelled over to me to look at the rock he just found. When I turned around he was holding the ring. We celebrated with a couple cold Miller Lites on the shores of Lake Willoughby.
We knew for our big day we wanted an intimate get together with close friends and family and we wanted to be up in the mountains. We love hiking and being outdoors so it only make sense to have a rustic mountain wedding. We rented a house in Whitefield, NH that had perfect views of the white mountains.
We had our rehersal dinner right at the house. Everybody was there! We had the grill going, the jameson flowing, and a large bonfire to round out the night. It couldn't have been more perfect.
And speaking of perfect--the big day was even better! We absolutely lucked out with perfect fall weather and zero rain! We had a simple rustic ceremony with the perfect mountain backdrop. After the ceremony we had a lot of BBQ, even more rum punch(made by my wondeful aunt and uncle!!), and a whole lot of dancing! It all went by so fast but I truly couldn't have asked for a better day!
