The story of our wedding
My husband and I were the extreme budget conscious couple. We had both gone through surgeries, which delayed our wedding plans for 4 years, but after our recoveries, the wedding was on! I have a huge family and his family lives out of state. I tried to accommodate both of our families, but he asked me not to put that pressure on his family and friends. So I decided to look at who we'd really want present on our special day and cut the guest list from 150 to 50.
I tried to find local Los Angeles venues, but the minimums were way too expensive for us. I'd always dreamed of a Lake Tahoe wedding, so I notified my guests 10 months in advance via text to see who would be willing to join us. Turned out most of our guests were more than willing to make the trip.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Interior Design, so I knew I could do a lot of the wedding materials myself. I also have an extremely talented group of family and friends, that offered to take photos and decorate the venue. Everyone was more than willing to help and I took them up on it!

Greg is a goofball, so it was a challenge to get good photos, but Vince managed to snap beautiful pictures of us. Hopefully we'll be able to take family photos with him in the near future!
I found an elopement package from Honesco Wedding that offered stunning ceremony sites and photography for all budgets. Thomas Honesco was also, extremely helpful on planning our special day and his wife Deborah took the greatest photos. He recommended me to a local florist, Rose Petals that offered competitive pricing and was a pleasure to work with. Raven and her team created the most beautiful arrangements I could have ever dreamed of.
We had our reception at MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa, which also offered multiple options for budget friendly events. Denisse and her team were amazing to work with and had the linens, match my purple shoes. We opted to make our own Spotify playlist and were able to connect to the house speakers, which had great sound. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere! We were lucky to be able to celebrate our special day with our closest family and friends! Cheers!
