The story of our wedding

Our wedding was held at The Menger Hotel in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Everything about the old historic creepy vibe was perfect for us. We are huge fans of the Halloween movies and of Halloween time so naturally we incorporated our love for those things and some of our other favorite treats and personal touches. I also am a southern California girl and have always dreamed of an old Hollywood glamour look for myself. Our wedding date fell on Michael Myers' birthday. We had a candy bar with Halloween candy and also some gourmet ones. We also had a coffee and donut bar for a late night snack. For the ceremony we put together a very personal playlist together for when the guests were arriving. All the songs were acoustic and/or romantic versions of some of our favorite and important songs to our six year relationship. Every song was carefully selected and was meaningful to us. We chose the Member's Victorian lobby for our ceremony because of it's classic beauty and elegance. For our reception we had feather centerpieces to go with my feathered wedding dress and all the feather bouquets. We opted for no real flowers and the feathers were perfect! We had hints of gold, blush, and burgundy incorporated into the decor. Everyone's loved how beautiful everything came together and almost all the decor was diy's by my mom. She is a master diy-er!
