The story of our wedding

We have been together for nearly 7 years and had a 2 1/2 year engagement while we saved up to finance our own dream wedding.The venue was our most important element, and since our family would be coming from all over the globe, South America, Europe, Australia, and California, we wanted a place where everyone would feel at home.About two years ago we found the perfect venue and honestly it made our wedding weekend perfect. Evins Mill is just over an hour from the city of Nashville, and it is a beautiful estate that we had for the whole weekend (Friday - Sunday.)Once we got there on Friday and set up, we could honestly enjoy the weekend with our guests who also stayed on site in the cabins. It made everything stress-free because there was no need to transport anything, or drive anywhere for 48 hours. I could not imagine a more relaxing place. The mood for our wedding was romantic, and woodsy. I purchased wildflowers in bulk from Nashville Flower Market and made my own centerpieces by simply placing them in crystal vases I had collected at the Nashville flea market over the last year. I also purchased bulk fresh lavender from Paula Jean’s garden on Etsy, she has a farm in Montana and also made my bridal bouquet and Danny’s boutonniere. My dress was from BHLDN, A Willowby by Watters design, Danny’s suit was custom from Indochino. Partly luck (amazing weather) and partly planning for over two years made our weekend flawless. We still cannot believe it went off without a hitch, especially since everyone prepared us for “something will inevitably go wrong, and it all be fine anyway!” I get it now, it was truly the best day ever.
