Our wedding was perfect. Not because everything went as planned, but because so many friends and family traveled far to be there with us. We had to switch our location three days before the wedding due to weather threat, but we pulled it all together in time. And everyone told us how seamless the transition looked! Our vendors were amazing and adjusted easily to the swtich.
Connor and I got engaged after dating for three years, two of which were long distance. He was in New York at Columbia University and I was working at my frist job in Shermam, TX. I went to visit him for our first ever Christmas together and he popped the question under the Christmas tree he had picked out and decorated just for me. Spending all that time apart taught me that I never wanted to be without him, so I said yes!
My absolute favorite moment of our wedding was when a young girl I had known her whole life sang for us. The lights were low, and it was just her gorgeous voice singing "I will always love you" and Connor and I slow danced alone to her song. I watched her grow up, her mom is like a second mom to me, but I had not heard her voice in person in years. It was a special moment, and one neither Connor nor I will forget.
