28 Sep, 2019The story of our wedding
We got engaged about three years ago on a rooftop in Thailand. It was an amazing, surreal moment because I had no idea my husband was going to propose.
We knew from the beginning that we wanted to have our wedding ceremony outdoors, either in a garden or on a rooftop. We looked at a few different places, but when we found 1111 Studewood, we knew it was perfect!
We ended up choosing beautiful art deco invitations from Minted, which influenced a lot of the design elements of the wedding.I wore my grandmother's dress and my great-grandmother's jewelry, both of which worked well with the art deco touches.
My husband really wanted brisket at the wedding and I wanted salmon. We received quotes from a few different vendors, but ended up going with a regional caterer (Pappas) that had really great reviews. I'm so glad we did, the food was amazing and the catering team was exemplary. They took care of so many details!
The night went by so fast, but it was so perfect and so much fun!
