Fashion Creative Director's wedding in Providence, RI on 12.30.2018.
Hi WW Team!
My name is Bryce Reels, I am the Creative Director and Head of Celebrity Partnerships for the fashion tech brand, Fifth & Ninth. My husband, Brett Reels, is a personal trainer. We got married on December 30th, 2018 in Providence, RI.
Brett and I grew up about a mile and half away from each other. He is 7 years older than me, so our paths didn't cross too often. My older brother is closer to his age, and they were on similar sports teams growing up. I can remember attending my brother's games at a young/awkward age with braces and hair that hadn't seen a flat iron yet. I had a crush on him for a very long time, he had no idea who I was. Finally, my junior year of college I ran into him at a local bar and it was pretty much history from there on. We still laugh about the days I would droll over him and he had no idea who I was!
Brett is Native American, so we pulled a lot of our inspiration for our wedding from his culture. We wanted there to be feathers incorporated into the table scapes, animal print on our invitations, drums at our reception, and more. We also wanted our wedding to feel really timeless, so we avoided a lot of color. Our rehearsal dinner was primarily white with some touches of black, and our reception was primarily black with touches of white. We also used hints of eggplant and vintage gold throughout to reflect his tribe's colors.

My gown, along with my bridesmaids gowns, were all designed by myself. For my gown, I envisioned something with long sleeves that came to a point at my knuckle, intricate lace detail, a high neck - I wanted it to have a vintage feel, with a twist of couture. The girls gowns were all black, but I chose different fabrics for each. My vision for doing so, was to create depth and individuality. My sister-in-law has never worn a dress in her life, so we created a custom jumpsuit that tied into the assortment perfectly. All bridesmaid gowns were handmade by an Atlanta fashion student. My gown was custom made Calla Blanche and Galia Lahav.
