Brad and Kayla 's Wedding in Justin, Texas
Classic Spring Blue
B&K
23 Mar, 2019The story of our wedding
We got engaged at Disney World June 9 2017, I know dream propsal right? From there we enjoyed being engaged and then April of 2018 we went into full swing planning when we booked our special day at The Lucky Spur!
The week leading up to our wedding we a bit stressful as it's spring team in Texas... So we went from sunny to rain back to sunny to rain hail and strong winds. The Spur had a back up plan to move everything inside but I wanted my outdoor ceremony.
The morning of our wedding it was very cloudy, my florist told me that she would give me until 3 pm to make the decision to move our ceremony inside so I went on about my morning getting ready with my wedding party. We had a couple of rain showers that morning and then at 1 pm the rain just cleared out. The sun came out and blue skies returned everything was falling into place!
Our wedding colors were a light blue with hints of peach! It was absolutely perfect! My girls wore light blue dresses while my step daughter was in an ivory dress from David's Bridal and Brad's guys wore gray suites from JOS A Bank with light blue ties!
Continue reading »We had white drapery that hung from the beautiful wooden beams in the reception hall, wooden lanterns and signs that my mom and I stained and made ourselves with candles and chunky glass vases for our tables with smaller gold mercury glass candle holders with greenery on our tables. our head table had greenery and we used the bridemaids bouquets for decor, Behind the head table stood a wooden wall that my mom and I made with peach and white flowers and greenery.
My bouquet made by The Lace Bouquet was probably the prettiest bouquet I have ever laid eyes on. I wrapped it in a piece that my grandmother and I made out of a bow and lace from my moms wedding dress. We did the same with my garter! Our flowers were peach and white with greenery added in. We were so happy with Lacy's work! She is so talented!
Brad wanted wooden buttons for his suit so we ordered them and dug through 600 buttons to find the perfect ones to have put on his suit to match his watch from JORD and his wooden ring!
My Wedding dress was the WTOO Lenora from Bliss Bridal. I loved everything about my dress. If I could wear it everyday, I would! I wanted my shoes to match my girls so I found the most perfect pair of light blue shoes and my mom and I made glittered tennis shoes for the reception.
Our cakes were made by Mandy's Cakes. Our cakes were beyond my expectations as they always are, we use Mandy for our birthday cakes as well, and tasted so good as usual! If you are in the DFW area and looking for a cake lady... just call Mandy!
DJ connection was AMAZING! We cannot say enough about them! Our DJ was so interactive with our guest and made our night so fun!!
Mandy was so great with our photos! It is so hard to pick a favorite! So happy she was able to capture so many perfect moments from our day!!
