The story of our wedding

When Anthony and I met I was living in Portland Oregon, drawn to it for it's modern, quirky vibes and incredible mountains. When we got engaged while living in NY we knew we wanted to relive those early months and Stowe VT represented so many of the things we'd loved about the west coast. Planning from afar actually made it easier for me because I had to be more hands off and put my trust into the vendors I chose. Since that was the case I really splurged for a set of vendors that had worked togeher before and knew the venue well. We had a whole weekend affair planned at Topnotch Resort, from a Friday night welcome party that almost every single guest attended to a Sunday brunch that was the best brunch buffet I'd ever had. Leading up to the party Friday was all about relaxing and enjoying the outdoor heated hot tub and Topnotch spa while everyone got settled in. It was really stress free for me between Liz the onsite coordinator and having everything on the resort grounds, I really got to just enjoy the whole weekend. The first look eased my nerves before the ceremony which was breathtaking with the mountains in the background, and after that we were ready to party and dance the night away together. We decided to do a co-ed boquet toss with a $50 prize and I was worried the dancefloor would be empty but everyone - single, married, young, old, men, women - got out there. it was so much fun we did it twice! The night really was a blur but when we went back to our suite my bouquet and veil had been laid out beautifully along with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and our box or cards. We ended the night reading the lovely notes from our guests.
