The story of our wedding

My husband proposed at my birthday tea party where both of our mothers were present. We had talked about getting engaged by the end of 2021 and I was convinced he would propose on our Disney World trip around Christmas but instead he surprised me on my birthday. We then took the next 14 months to plan our Star Wars / Harry Potter wedding which really represented the two of us as a couple. We really bonded over our shared fandoms before starting to date. With the help of our vendors, Pintrest and Etsy, we were able to create a classy/elegant wedding with our theme throughout the music and decorations. We had themed drinks of Polyjuice Potion (tequila) and Jedi Mind Trick (vodka) that guests absolutely loved. Instead of table numbers we had Star Wars planets or Harry Potter places. Throughout our two families, we have 6 lightsabers that were used in photos. Due to how expensive they are, they were not left out or used for decorations but the photos turned out wonderful. All of our guests have complimented our special day telling us how much fun the event was and loved all of our vendors. It was an incredible day and I wouldn't change a thing!
