The story of our wedding

Alex and I met through friends at one of our favorite dive bars in 2015. He's in the military and I was still finishing up college. In September 2017, we went on a random trip to Alaska. (which is beyond amazing by the way) We went on a glacier hike towards the end of our trip and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! This was so romantic. Since the glacier is always changing we will never be able to stand in that same exact spot again! We hope to go visit someday when lifes not as crazy! Then led to wedding planning. Let me tell you, this was a difficult process. Alex was just accepted to become a United States Airforce Pilot. He received dates to go to Officer training that January through March 9 and then Pilot Training starting April 10. We scheduled our wedding date to be March 24th, so I had 6 months to plan. He was gone, so it was up to me to figure out everything! It is defintely possible to plan a wedding in 6 months and we did it. (just very stressful ha!) I wouldn't change it for the world though! It was finally getting closer to the day. I had checked the weater two weeks before and it was supposed to be in the 80s that day. We are located in Illinois by the way. I was pretty excited for the weather. THEN- Things changed quickly. Around 4 days before the wedding, the weather stated we were expecting snow. I had to hurry up and find space heaters for our pavilian. It started out that we were going to get 1-3 inches. On our wedding day, it snowed 9 inches! At first I was upset, only because I wasn't expecting it or had enough time to mentally prepare myself. But this was the best thing that could have happened. It made for beautiful wedding pictures and a crazy unique day for us. We like to think it was meant to be because we got engaged on the glacier! Today we are happily married living in Mississippi while my hubby is attending USAF Pilot Training. What a crazy life that we love!
