We danced the night away!
I haven’t danced the night away in a while!
Zolz Entertainment took such good care of my son and daughter in-law during their wedding.
From playing great music and keeping the guests dancing to the flow of entertainment during the reception with games. The guests are still commenting about how much fun they had!
My son and Daughter in-law had a special feature during their wedding that would allow guests to leave a recorded message on an old phone. Zolz made sure to remind the guests so everyone would have a chance, which I’m so grateful for.
I’m looking forward to another night of dancing with Zolz Entertainment at my younger sons up coming wedding!

I've been to a lot of weddings but I've never seen a wedding DJ that was this much fun. Rick has a ton of experience with wedding receptions and is an expert on how to deal with and adapt to the living and breathing nature of them. Everything he does, he does for a reason and he'll take the time to explain all of it to you but at the end of the day he's also very easy-going and will always accommodate everything you want on your special day.
The best part about Zolz Entertainment isn't any of that though, it's that he's incredibly fun and is amazing at working the room. He'll keep people laughing, he'll play fun games that keep all age groups engaged and having a great time and he somehow manages to be the life-of-the-party while keeping the spotlight on everyone else.
We were stressing out quite a bit leading up to our wedding day, but if you book Zolz Entertainment you can cross the reception off of your long list of things to stress out about. They're experts at what they do, they guide you through everything and they're a ton of fun. -

We had two goals for our wedding...get married and never leave the dance floor. We got both and then some!! Zolz was hysterical, played the best music and flowed with the crowd. He is everyone's guy beause he plays music to keep the dance floor going but perfectly times games and activites to keep those who keep their seat warm entertained too. He went along with every crazy idea I had and made myself and my husband feel like the center of the universe. We could not have been more thrilled! -

Zolz Entertainment was awesome! The dance floor was packed all night with a perfect combination of great old school wedding songs and current dance tunes! They bought fun and sentiment to an already perfect day and kept the night flowing beautifully. They exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend them to DJ your wedding or other fun event! -

Zolz kept the party going! Our wedding wouldn’t have been half as much fun if it weren’t for Zolz. They are professionals as what they do. They know how to read a room and cater to it. Everyone was raving about how much fun our wedding was and how great our DJ was. If Zolz is open for your wedding date, book them while you can. We were very lucky to have them at our wedding and we could never thank them enough. -

Rick was amazing. Watching him work the crowd through an ice break was subtle brilliance. His mix of music was perfect, somehow keeping all generations at the wedding entertained and engaged. He was a pure professional and I don't think he ever took a break. HIGHLY recommended! -

Personality PLUS, with fun, humor, organized, professional and so easy to speak to especially when planning our wedding and reception. We received so many compliments on DJ Rick and the fantastic mix of music. Our guests told us they have never had so much fun at a wedding. Reasonably priced is a huge plus! And thank you for the complimentary six tickets to the Renegades! We would highly recommend DJ Rick of ZOLZ Entertainment. -

We had Zolz Entertainment as our entertainment for our wedding and it was the perfect choice. Personable, professional, gets the crowd into it, knows how to stay on schedule, was open to any suggestions we had. Rick and his staff are the premiere entertainment company for weddings for a reason. Regardless of what you may see, it takes more than a fool with a laptop and set of headphones to be a real DJ. Zolz Entertainment are the real deal. -
Kat Sent on 01/30/2018I met Rick Zolzer in 2001 at a wedding expo being held at the venue I had my eye one. The instant I spoke with him was the instant I knew what the best part of the wedding was gonna be!! He was outgoing, super accommodating and was up for anything!! The dance floor was never empty and still one of the highlights all our friends and family talked about afterwards was how great the DJ was! Side bonus, he’s hilarious!! Our photographer was some old guy my mother picked and frankly was annoying but Rick had us cracking up and stress free the entire evening! Our oldest son and our niece were our ring bearer and flower girl which leads me to the next part of this story.
Fast forward 14 years... When said niece got engaged in 2015, we asked her if she had any ideas about a DJ and asked if she remembered Rick.
We’ve followed him through his career during the years on WPDH, as the NJ NETS announcer, Army Football announcer, ESPN Radio and currently still VP of the Hudson Valley Renegades Minor League baseball team (and still finds the time to DJ!!). She said “Yes” and we put a big red bow on Rick Zolzer Entertainment (figuratively speaking of course) and gifted Rick’s services to our niece and soon-to-be husband.
When I got in touch with him he thought it was so awesome he was “being gifted”!! He was still the hilarious and super accommodating guy I had done business with 14 years prior. Excellent communication and met my niece and new nephew’s every request.
Trust me, you WILL NOT REGRET choosing Zolz Entertainment! -

Christine Sent on 01/02/2018I was married on New Year's Eve at the Dutchess Manor 2015 to my high school sweetheart from 30 years ago. Ringing in the new year not only was an anniversary celebration, but a remembrance of that special night. People are still talking about it... and that's what you want! I am dating myself when I tell you that Rick Zolzer dj'd my Sweet Sixteen in 1986... and my first wedding! So this was my third time hiring him... and I knew what I was in for :-) I've got experience with getting married lol, so believe me when I tell you... the most important vendor you hire is your DJ. I'm all for live music when I'm out in Beacon having a glass of wine with my husband... but at your wedding, you don't want any "breaks." So hands down, a DJ is the way to go... the rhythm of the night is consistent when you do this. There were A LOT of moving parts to my wedding. First off - it was New Year's Eve... so people are looking to have a great time! On top of that, we were married at the venue in one room... the cocktail party in another... and the reception in the final ballroom. I needed Rick to play music in all three spots. Without breaking down equipment and disrupting my wedding. No problem. He is professional... ALWAYS EARLY... always has a back up plan for emergencies... knows all the venues and their staff... strategic balances his time on the mic without being intrusive... and keeps the dance floor packed. The only reason he received a 4.5 Stars on Flexibility is because he is booked far in advance! In terms of flexibility at the event... 5/5... no one improvises better than Zolz. You have to figure out what's important to you when planning your wedding. Years later, no one will remember the food, the favor or sometimes even the location... but they certainly will remember if they had a blast and never sat down. Zolz is the man... xo

I hate leaving negative feedback, but Zolz Entertainment was the worst part of our wedding. I actually have so many negative things to say that they wouldn't fit into the space allotted by Wedding Wire so I'll be writing the biggest in list form:
* Not responsive- was very hard to reach him via phone/ email. Didn't actually speak to him until the day before wedding, where he told me he would not be our DJ (despite having booked with him 18 mo in advance) and would be sending someone else. This was extraordinarily disappointing since the ONLY reason we hired his company (and spent more money than we wanted to on a DJ) was to have HIM as our DJ.
* Despite sending the company all our song selections and MP3s of special songs, the only song they played that was right was our first dance song, which the new DJ (Mikey) had to ask us to re-email him while we were lining up to enter the reception hall. Although that was distressing, I wish he had told us he didn't have ANY of the other songs as well because we could have easily resent the original email with all the special songs. So since he chose not to tell us that they lost the songs, he just played whatever he felt like.
* DJ played "mood music" entirely too long. People were done eating or between plates and just sat around awkwardly. He then used a musical chairs game to get people up, which was fun (at first), but lasted nearly 30 grueling mins. After all that, we had less than an hour and a half of actual dance music. Our maitre d' had to stop him in the middle of playing an 8 min song (one he chose, not us) because we were already 15 mins past the end of the reception. On their way out, guests actually commented on his poor job. To boot, our maitre d' said she felt bad for us due to his poor time management, song selection, and crowd engagement.
* My biggest frustration is that 95% of the problems that happened during our time with Zolz could have been easily avoided with simple communication.
