Dave worked with us to create the perfect mood for our wedding. From the beautiful instrumental version of "Falling in Love" as I walked down the aisle, to the crowd-pleasing favorites played at the cocktail hour, Dave was able to keep all of our guests, aged 8 to 80, entertained. We hired Dave for our wedding cocktail hour and he also did a live performance for when the bride walked down the aisle. Couldn’t have been happier! He was incredibly easy to work with from day one. Quick to respond, organized, and super helpful in planning out the flow and music selection. I trusted him to take the lead on a lot of musical decisions, which took a huge weight off our plate, and everything turned out perfect. His performance set the exactv vibe we were hoping for. We booked him for our wedding welcome dinner and he exceeded every expectation. His guitar playing was gorgeous — the perfect blend of ambiance and artistry. Dave was awesome at our wedding!
Dave was always responsive and accommodating as we were thrashing back and forth getting things done before the wedding. It took us till the last minute to figure out our aisle walk song, but Dave never pressured us as the date got closer. He did an amazing job setting the atmosphere for our wedding and overall we couldn't have been happier!

Great Zion Wedding Experience
I got married earlier this year and it was an absolute joy to get to work with Dave. He was so integral to our wedding ceremony and his artistry is second to none. Throughout the entire process Dave was very responsive and was very collaborative and extremely helpful in crafting the perfect song list for our wedding day. It was such a joy to hear everything we had been working on live and in person on the big day. In addition, Dave was great with the last minute ceremony location changes and was extremely flexible and understanding which truly made the day seem very effortless and stress free. I cannot say enough great things about Dave. He is a true professional and 10/10 would highly recommend his services for anyone looking for a live musician on their wedding day!

We loved having Dave at the wedding ceremony and post wedding party. His voice was amazing and his calm but confident presence was exactly what we were looking for! John (groom) and Ellen (bride) were both more than happy that Dave was able to have us in his schedule. If I have any more parties or events, I will definitely think of Dave first! Our chefs were even ecstatic to meet him and I believe want to work with Dave as well!. I never heard from anyone in the wedding party nor I have anything I wish he did differently.

Dave was a huge part of making our daughter's wedding perfect. He played in the outdoor garden space before the ceremony and cued up the recorded processional and recessional music the bride and groom requested. He has a beautiful voice and we requested several of his original songs, as well as covers such as Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz and Ed Sheeran. A Voice Like Sunshine and Honey
The minute we heard Dave’s recordings, we just knew he was the perfect fit for our wedding. Any time we had a question or concern, he was right there with a prompt and professional answer. I even had a last minute request that he was able to work into his schedule. On the day of, he was on time, professional and ohhh that voice! Guests were singing along to his music and kept asking us how we found someone so good. Dave is the perfect musician for a wedding or event
Dave Tate is amazing! Not only did he sound amazing, but his song selections, promptness, professionalism, and communication were on-point. We asked him to do a couple specific songs and he nailed them! We asked him to play at both our wedding and cocktail hour, and it was seamless! He’s easy to talk to, humble, and so talented. His prices are outstanding! Our guests were blown away at how good he sounded! I HIGHLY recommend him for any wedding or event!

Amazing Wedding Experience

Most Magical Part of Our Day
Dave was by far our favorite wedding vendor in every way (and we had a lot of great ones!). Not only is he renowned for his music, but he has the administrative side of things down as well, which is invaluable when planning a wedding (or any event).
He is extremely responsive, so professional, and happily accommodating. From booking, to site planning, to learning special song requests, to setup and takedown, he is beyond prepared - he brings no stress and only adds joy to the day. He might have been the only vendor of our day that didn’t experience any hiccups, when he certainly could have (I’m sure seamlessly moving to three different locations throughout the night - inside and outside - at a large venue in a remote area is not easy! But we never even noticed the transitions!).
Without a doubt, his beautiful renditions of all of our favorite songs amplified the magic of the day by about a thousand. It was like being in our own romance movie with the best soundtrack. Before I even made it down the aisle, the whole crowd was already in tears from his music. My husband’s mom had trouble getting through her reading because she was so moved by his rendition of Annie’s Song by John Denver. You simply can’t recreate the kind of emotion Dave’s music evokes. We feel SO lucky to have been able to experience it.
Dave performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. His wife, Victoria, is also a musician and joined in for some songs as well - which was amazing!
Booking Dave for your event will be the most special gift you could give yourselves - hearing him play all of our favorite songs on our wedding day was like reliving all of the best moments in our relationship. Our hearts were so full, and we’re already thinking of planning a weekend getaway to see Dave play again!

A magical start to our dream wedding
David Tate’s music was absolutely the most wonderful way to start our wedding celebration! When we originally contacted him to play for our wedding he wasn’t sure if his schedule would allow for it, but he made it work for us.
David’s extreme talent to create a mood and wonderful romantic atmosphere is so impressive. He played smooth and soulful acoustic classics for our pre-wedding signature cocktail hour as our guests were arriving and mingling and then did a fabulous job playing our selected songs during our processional. His willingness to learn two additional, personally selected songs meant so much to us and definitely was the highlight of our wedding day. The first was one of our favorites for our Unity in Glass Ceremony and then he accompanied our daughters as they sang a very special rendition of Alicia Keyes “If I ain’t got you”.
We would absolutely recommend David to any bride and groom who are looking to add a quintessential touch to their wedding day!

We have nothing but positive things to say about Dave! We originally didn’t plan on having any live musicians for our wedding ceremony until we accidentally came across Dave’s webpage. After listening to a few of his songs we knew in our hearts we must have him perform during our wedding ceremony. He played acoustic mix with vocal and the vibe was very romantic. Dave did a phenomenal job with our wedding music! He played our pre-wedding music as guests were arriving, as well as music throughout our ceremony. Dave’s voice and musical skill are second-to-none, and all of our guests raved about him. He truly went above and beyond, honoring all of our musical requests and helping us come up with song ideas to set the tone we wanted. Dave is an absolute professional and has superb attention to detail. Both his cover songs and his originals are incredible. He also let us utilize his sound system to avoid the additional cost of a DJ. He exceeded all expectations! We couldn’t recommend him more highly. Great Conference Atmosphere!
Dave brought the perfect vibe to our academic conference through his music. We had him play for an hour at our end-of-conference dinner. The Perfect Proposal
Dave was absolutely AMAZING in helping me pull of the perfect engagement in Zion National Park. I spoke to Dave by phone for an initial meeting to describe what I was trying to pull off. Dave offered up great advice, provided me with some recommended song selections and even went so far as to learn a special song request I had so he could play it while I was proposing. Before my fiancée even realized that a proposal was forthcoming, she was already crying at the view and hearing Dave’s voice. She said it was the most romantic place she had ever been without even knowing that everything had been arranged for our engagement. Needless to say, it only got better from there. From the beginning of our wedding planning process, we knew we wanted live acoustic music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Dave was the man for the job!!!
He was so easy to work with, and his vocals and acoustic guitar performance of Peaceful Easy Feeling for our processional/recessional actually brought tears to my eyes, as my Dad was walking me down the aisle.

Perfect soundtrack to our special day!
We held a short ceremony at Zion NP with eleven of our closest friends and family. We had planned our wedding from across the country which made it hard to know exactly what we were getting. Dave made our wedding absolutely perfect. We got married last year and wanted live music, both to set the tone while guests arrived, and during our ceremony. We had talked with Dave about the type of feeling we wanted: both intimate and classy, and he gave us a full range of songs and material to select from, both with vocals and without. He showed up on time with all the equipment needed and worked independently with our coordinator without a glitch. Dave Tate provided acoustic guitar and vocals for our ceremony and reception. As I am also a musician, this was one of the most important aspects of our wedding for me. Well, he certainly did not disappoint. He plays superbly, and his vocals are so beautiful they are, well, tear inducing. He responded to all my emails promptly, he is kind and professional, and he worked with us to create a play list that was perfect for our ceremony and reception. Thank you, Dave, and Zion Wedding Music.

Dave was so easy to work with. Everything was scheduled and planned with minimal effort on our part. The day of the event they were there, set up, and ready to go without any problems. Their voices are phenomenal and were perfect for the relaxed and fun environment that we were hoping to have. I would without hesitation recommend them and would love to work with them again in the future.

Dave was responsive throughout the process and played beautifully at our little wedding at Zion. We really appreciated his professionalism and his choice of acoustic guitar music for our ceremony. Highly recommend!

Dave was fantastic! We are so thankful he could be a part of our special day. We requested a couple songs that weren't on his playlist and he was very accommodating. A storm rolled in toward the end of our reception and Dave was willing to go across the street to a restaurant/bar with me, my new husband and our guests to play a few more tunes. He was kind, professional, accommodating and a great musician! I would highly recommend Dave for anyone looking to hire a singer/songwriter for an event!

We were honored to have Dave be a part of our wedding in Springdale, UT! He provided a talent that family and friends are still talking about months later! We had a special request for a song that he didn't have listed that meant a lot to my husband and me. He offered to learn it an play it as we walked down the isle and for our first couples dance. His voice is beautiful and full of so much emotion! We have since heard "our song" from him again and it brings tear to our eyes! I cannot say enough good things about Dave! He is full of talent and loves what he does, both of which show in his performances! Thank you Dave!

Dave was exactly what we were looking for when searching for ceremony music for our elopement style wedding. Despite the fact that we made him go to, sort of, the middle of nowhere Zion National Park, he was up for it with no issues and came well prepared and with a smile. We even requested he place a certain song for us as I walked down the aisle and he took the time to learn it on guitar and sing! He sent us a snippet of what we could expect of his voice and guitar skills and it was great! Overall, I would suggest Date to any person looking for a professional musician to complete your event and provide excellent service and music.

Zion wedding music was the perfect choice for our ceremony and reception. Dave is very talented, and did a fantastic job. Every guest commented how great it was to have live music and what a great range of songs he played. He was also very responsive to my many questions prior to the event as well.

Zion Wedding Music was absolutely perfect. Their beautiful acoustic sound set the perfect atmosphere that I wanted at my wedding reception. It really completed the whole evening and was definitely one of the added elements that I thought definitely worth it and made the evening feel complete. They are flexible and willing to work with you, and are very talented.

Dave was wonderful to work with! The music was so perfect and really added a magical quality to our wedding! Many of our guests commented on how great the music was as well. We requested two specific songs not already in their playlist. Not only were the songs just what we wanted, they were performed perfectly as well.
I can highly recommend Zionweddingmusic for any event you're planning! It was especially great that Dave was so sensitive and appropriate in regard to our LGBT wedding! Thanks Dave, we'll never forget you!

We were so happy with Dave Tate as the musician at our wedding and reception! His laid back, acoustic style was exactly what I imagined for our garden wedding. He was easy to work with, learned our songs, and came prepared. Music is a big deal for us as a couple and we were pleased with his contribution to the atmosphere of our special, romantic day. We would recommend him to any close family member or friend!

Dave and Victoria are fantastic! Their music is straight from the heavens! Dave played acoustic guitar and sang with Victoria at our wedding last August, 2014. We were so blessed to find them. If you haven't heard them sing, just listen to their music. Everyone who heard them had goosebumps and/or tears! Their voices just touch the soul. We choose songs they have listed and a couple of others. Dave is ready to learn music to make the event successful. They arrived early and stayed until all was complete. Dave played guitar through much of the ceremony. One of my favorite songs is "Hold You in My Arms" --Everytime we hear it, we go back to that beautiful day! Thank you Dave and Victoria for making our wedding a memorable day! We recommend them whole heartedly!

We live in the Phoenix area but wanted to get married in St. George so our families and guests did not have to travel as far. We visited the area a few times but with so little time we really did not have the opportunity to research more than the venue itself. We found Dave through an internet search so we mostly communicated via email. He was very prompt and professional and it was the easiest piece of our evening to schedule. He gave us a list of songs they do best and asked us for some of the songs we would like to hear. Rather than just trying to accommodate us, he made suggestions and options on what would work best based on their sound and voices. Several of our guests asked for the recording during the reception which was something that never crossed our minds. I'd love to hear them play those songs again. Thanks, Dave!

Dave did the music at our wedding ceremony and he and his wife performed at our reception. He was very easy to work with. He is skilled enough to be flexible (He learned and added a couple of new songs at our request.), but has an excellent repertoire with which he is already familiar. We received lots of positive feedback from our guests saying how great the music was! One of our guests was pretty astounded and commented "Wow, he's REALLY good! He sounds just like the original artist." And above and beyond talent he and his wife both had a great attitude and warm spirit that they brought to the event. I feel so fortunate to have had them be a part of our wedding day.

Dave's music provided the perfect backdrop for our garden wedding. He played his own moving version of "our song" as the prelude to our ceremony, and half of the audience was in tears. We would highly recommend Dave to any of our friends.

We were extremely pleased with the quality of the ceremony music! We didn't have many specific requests and he was happy to just roll with it and play some really nice songs, and he did a nice job. As just one guy with a guitar he was able to layer a couple tracks and make a very full sound. Our only complication was that we didn't communicate how to arrange final payment in advance very well but he was easy to work with to get it sorted. Overall we were very pleased and would highly recommend
