Amazing violinist- book Zhenya!
Honestly, Zhenya was amazing at our wedding. For my wife, having a violinist at our wedding was a must. Zhenya went above and beyond to make sure we had a great wedding. She met with my wife multiple times to ensure she knew what she wanted for the ceremony (a huge relief when there is so much going on to plan an Indian wedding).
Then during the ceremony, Zhenya was a complete badass! She not only played classic violin but put an amazing and fun spin on it. We got soooo many compliments on Zhenya. She also learned our first dance song to make a special moment for us possible. Zhenya far exceeded expectations and really went above and beyond to make our day special. I can’t say enough good things about her.
Maybe I’ll book her for our anniversary one year— just don’t tell my wife!

Incredible wedding violinist!
Zhenya was wonderful and helped us have the best wedding day we could imagine! She played every song we requested beautifully and our guests really enjoyed hearing her play during our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. I had a wonderful experience working with Zhenya. We had a call prior to my wedding to discuss my vision and what sort of music aesthetic I was going for. We agreed on a plan and Zhenya was an experienced professional who was also incredibly warm and kind on our phone call. She knew all the right questions to ask to prepare for the big day!
Day of Zhenya arrived early and made sure everything was set to make sure I got my vision. Zhenya's performances really was a highlight for our night. Our guests loved her performances. She plays the violin skillfully and beautifully and it really elevated our event!

I'm so grateful that we found Zhenya on WeddingWire! We hired her to play the violin for our wedding ceremony. We loved how her website had a list of recommended songs and recordings you could listen to. She also sent us a list of suggested songs, which helped us pick music for the bridal party processional, bridal processional and recessional. She also had her own equipment (like a stand and amplification system) which was really convenient, and she was transparent about her rate and what services are included. We absolutely loved her. I was first introduced to PixieViolin when my fiance' hired her as a "strolling violinist" to help him in his plan to propose to me. She was delightful then and she delighted us all again on our Valentine's wedding day.
Miss Zianouka, or "Zhenya", of PixieViolin is professional in every way on top of being a gifted violinist. We were honored to have her play at our wedding reception. Our guests were wowed as she played everything from well-known classical songs to modern hit tunes that had everyone tapping their toes or dancing to reels from different countries.
She has the capability to amplify her sound and use Bluetooth technology to bring her melodious craft and artful presence to any location be it a forest or sea-side venue. We had our reception in a large hall but being able to play at any outdoor location with this level of service is such a blessing considering all the pandemic-related issues in social gatherings.
We cannot wait to hire her again when we celebrate our union at a larger outdoor event come better weather and more vaccines. And, we will continue to engage with her as long as she is in business!

Zhenya plays wonderfully. Dealing with her was the easiest of all my tasks as a mother of the bride. She's pleasant, flexible and responds quickly to messages. She advised us on the music to be played at the wedding but gave us the space to choose on our own. I highly recommend her.

Zhenya was incredibly easy to work with and we are so happy we found her. I contacted Zhenya on very short notice for our wedding and she was professional, communicated easily, had no issues with the music we wanted, and most importantly, Zhenya was very good on our wedding day. A number of guest came up to us after the ceremony to express how nice the violin sounded. In fact, even our priest decided to mention how nice the violin sounded in the middle of our wedding. Overall, Zhenya was exactly what you want when dealing with musicians or any other type of vendor for your wedding; very professional and responsive to questions or concerns.She showed up early, understood the flow of the wedding without any issue and provided a perfect atmosphere for our guest. Amazing Music, Perfect Professional
Zhenya was a perfect violinist. Not only was her music flawless, she was a true professional and kind person to work with.
Zhenya was a recommendation to me. My husband and I wanted a solo violinist and Zhenya was the 100% perfect choice. Her music that is on her website is exquisite and exactly what we were looking for - elegant, enchanting, engaging.
Zhenya was very responsive when I submitted my request to her through her website. We worked everything out over email (even when she was overseas she was still on top of everything!).
When Zhenya arrived to the mansion where our ceremony was to take place, the guests were inside. The ceremony was taking place outside but everyone had not quite made their way out. So Zhenya, without any instruction from me or anyone else, saw a piano inside and started playing it! To my absolute delight, I heard beautiful piano music and wondered which friend could play that well. I saw that it was our amazingly creative, proactive violinist! She knew exactly what to do without any instruction or hand holding. What more could a bride ask for on her wedding day than someone being so thoughtful and resourceful, making sure the guests were entertained? Of course once everyone made it outside, she started to play the violin and it was so beautiful. She helped make our day exactly what we wanted and wished for - magical.
Zhenya was just perfect and I cannot praise her enough. I highly recommend reaching out to Zhenya for your wedding! You will be so happy that you did :)

An Elegant Touch

Lovely Performance!
I hired Zhenya as a semi-last minute performer after my original musicians canceled. Zhenya was great to work with and played beautifully! She had a list of recommended songs and helped us ensure we had everything we needed for the ceremony. As the bride, I didn't get to hear much of the prelude, but I sure wish I did because everything was beautiful! We requested she play 10,000 Reasons (not on her repertoire) during communion, and she chose the perfect section of just the right length. 5 stars all around!

Simply amazing! Beautifully done! Zhenya was super responsive to my emails/texts/phone calls. Showed up well in advance and prepared for the ceremony. Everyone was telling me how great a job she did and how much more elegant it made the ceremony having the beautiful sounds of the violin. I requested 2 specific songs to be played, not knowing how they’d sound as they aren’t ‘typical’ for a violin but she did them no problem and they sounded great - easily recognized them when they were played. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Music by Zhenya was the perfect complement to our wedding from beginning to end. Our guests loved the selections played as they were arriving and being seated as well as those played for the prelude, ceremony, and recessional. She is extremely talented and very flexible and worked with us and our pastor to provide accompaniment for a sung Lord's Prayer during the service, which was something especially requested. Zhenya was great for our wedding in August 2015. She set up and played beautifully through our ceremony and cocktail hour. Her music was wonderful and all the guests loved and enjoyed her. She even moved outdoors for part of the cocktail hour when most of the guest were outside taking pictures. We also had not planned on dancing at the wedding, but towards the end of the cocktail hour her music was just so wonderful almost all the guests had come inside to listen and we decided it was perfect for a first dance and father daughter dance. She is a professional and her music was beautiful.

Great violinist and it ends there
She was very good at her craft, but needs to be more personable. Came across as impersonal and distant, only interested in playing for her contracted time and moving on. We asked to move our start time by 15 minutes and she pointed out the time in our contract, for which she was right, but didn’t even try to be flexible.
