User1995946 Sent on 01/04/2015Zen Glow was wonderful through the whole wedding process. They were super flexible and were willing to come to us to help us get ready. My hair and make-up were perfect and exactly what I was hoping for on my wedding day. Susan and Kayla did a fantastic job listening to what we wanted and also made the day really fun. -
User1828331 Sent on 09/24/2014I called Susan a week before my wedding and she was so lovely on the phone. She had two bridal parties booked that day but fit me in at 2pm just to do my hair. My stylist was AMAZING. I sent her a few pictures (no trial session) and she was great at giving me feedback and adjusting certain elements as the updo progressed. And she had time to do my mother's hair and make her feel special. I cannot say enough good things. Talented and kind and just wonderful. My hair has never looked better, it was lovelier than I imagined, and the whole process was enjoyable.

User1725692 Sent on 07/22/2014Zen Glow gave me the perfect relaxing experience for my wedding day! Kayla did an amazing job on my hair. I have been to many stylists and none have been able to keep curls in my hair like she did. She also knew exactly how to compliment my hair with the perfect makeup. I live in Florida but look forward to visiting New Hampshire next summer to be pampered again by Zen Glow!

Zen Glow was a one stop shop for us - they provided us with a beautiful, lakeside private venue when my girls and I were able to celebrate. Kayla masterfully styled and colored my hair, and Susan made sure we all felt pampered and were glowing. Zen Glow provided a relaxing, professional, and exceptional experience for us and allowed us to celebrate a day that will last in my memory forever!

User1844647 Sent on 10/04/2014Overall I thought they did an okay job. I didn't really get the hair or makeup I showed them in the pictures but it wasn't terrible. I really wanted a light, airy look and I felt like I looked like I had a lot of makeup on, especially my eyes. They seemed overwhelmed, I think they were overbooked for the day. When we got there we were told we were "one minute early" and were not welcomed in. They didn't have space for all the bridal parties to wait. The girl who did my makeup seemed really flustered and never really recovered; she also didn't seem very receptive to wanting to fix anything after she asked me how it looked when she was finished. I had glue from the fake eyelashes on my face and eyes and when she wiped it off I think she wiped off the airbrushed makeup then tried to fix it with regular makeup so I was disappointed in that. I ended up having a friend fix it when I got back to my house. -
User2210415 Sent on 07/04/2015I deeply regret my decision to book Zen Glow for hair and make-up services. The quality of their work was poor and it created a great deal of stress on the wedding day.
My six bridesmaids and I all got our hair done for the wedding day, and none of us were pleased with how we looked. We all wanted relaxed updos and looser curls (most of us wanted half-up half-down). It is possible they are better at other styles or updos, but I think all hair stylists should be able to curl hair without a problem. We ended up all attempting to re-do our hair after the stylists left, which pushed the timeline for the day. In order to really fix my hair, I would have had to shower and restart, which there was not time for. I did not like the way I looked on my wedding day, and when I look at the pictures, I am upset that I allowed Zen Glow to do my hair on the wedding day. I had not been pleased with my trial, but they kept reassuring me it would be different on the wedding day. I should not have trusted their word and should have told them I wanted to see it as I wanted it before I trusted them to do it on the wedding day.
It is unfortunate that a part of the day that I had expected to be so fun ended up being incredibly stressful and that I did not like the way I looked on my wedding day. I wish I had found a better hair stylist, even if it were more expensive, or I wish I had even done my hair myself. -
User2380683 Sent on 10/21/2015I regret booking Zen Glow for their services for my wedding. It all started for my hair and makeup trial when my mother called a few days in advance to confirm and they had changed the time to an hour earlier then what we had booked months before and what was on my contract, without notifying us. Even though I live almost two hours away, we made it work. On my wedding day we arrived and I was called over to have my makeup done by a different makeup artist then who had done mine at the trial and she seemed inexperienced and overwhelmed. She also completely messed up one of my bridesmaid's makeup, to the point she had clumps of eyeshadow all over her eyelashes! She ended up taking everything off and doing her makeup herself. Luckily, I had paid for everyone's hair and makeup as part of their gifts, otherwise I would have felt horrible if she had spent her own money. The reason for the one star is I really did like how my hair came out, unfortunately that was the only positive. The worst part about this place is the customer service and the owner Susan. She is completely unprofessional and incredibly rude. Other guests attending our wedding had booked them separately to have their hair done, and when they were late she went into a fit storming around the salon calling them lowlives and asking ME to call and figure out where they were. This was not my problem and I couldn't believe she would ask a bride to do this. Lastly, about five minutes after we had left the salon, I get a call from Susan saying one of my bridesmaids never paid for her makeup, which was impossible since I had paid in full for everyone a month in advance. I told her I would have to look up the receipts later (since i'm trying to get ready for my wedding) and get back to her. She called back a minute later to apologize that she was in error and everyone was all paid for. This was the only stressful experience of my wedding, and it should have been the most relaxing. STAY AWAY!

After placing a deposit more than 6 months in advance we were informed one week prior to the wedding that Zen Glow had overbooked and the bridal party of 8 needed to be ready to start getting their hair and makeup done at 9:30 for a 4:00 wedding and if we could not make that work our deposit would be refunded. Needless to say with that short notice we had no choice but to work in that timeframe. Unfortunately the results were below standard with 8 girls hair and makeup done in less that 2 hours. The bride and maid of honor were unhappy with their hair and the stylists just left. A family relative literally had to fix them both up. The providers were unprofessional and did not demonstrate the level of skill one would expect especially for the price. Every other vendor we had exceeded expectations.
Look elsewhere for these services. -
User2523080 Sent on 01/31/2016I would not recommend Zen Glow for any services, especially a wedding. I was required to put down a 50% deposit to save the date (which was over $500 given all the bridesmaids) and after two failed trials with two different stylists they would not refund me back my money even though it was well in advance of the wedding day and they had already double booked themselves for that day. All I wanted was for my hair to be down and wavy, and at each trial my hair fell flat within 5 minutes after walking out of the salon. It was strange because when I curled my hair myself using a curling wand, it stayed. It just goes to show the lack of skill this salon has. Susan was extremely unprofessional throughout the entire process, and was even rude to me. She claimed that my hair on the wedding day would be different, but isn't the point of the trial to see how long your hair lasts and essentially a trial-run of the wedding day? I made the mistake of feeling pressured to put a deposit down to reserve the wedding day in advance of my trail, and since Susan/ZenGlow would not give me any of my money back after multiple attempts to reason with them, I lost all that money. It's terrible to lose all that money after all the expenses of a wedding, but I am so thankful I decided to book elsewhere for my wedding day, as the Zen Glow team would have ruined my wedding day otherwise. Trust the poor reviews on here, and stay far away from this place.

My sister booked them for her wedding day 9 months in advance. once the wedding day approached, we were called last minute that they were double booked somehow and actually had to leave our site by 12:30. I believe they must have sent their B list hair/makeup people. When they showed up rudely, they went right to work clearly rushing around to be able to leave as fast as possible. They were not friendly or pleasant to be around, not smiling to great each girl they were about to work on. It took them 2 hours into the day to even ask who the bride was (you would think this would be the first question not only to decide who should be the one to do the bride's hair and makeup but also to say even just Congratulations!") I happened to be getting my hair done last, and they whole crew was packing up and bringing supplies out to their car before I was done, They were walking down the stairs to leave before I even had a chance to look in the mirror at my hair- which was awful by the way. The bride, myself, and another were in tears over how bad the hair looked- i wish I took pictures to attach here. My aunt who had no professional training had to fix it for us, and it looked a million times better than when the "professionals' did it. Makeup was also not very well done and I looked a bit like a clown was a crazy amount of eyeshadow even asking for a more natural look. The group rushed out and was gone by 11:40 an hour before they were scheduled to be there. When the bride called the salon to tell them their group left an hour early, the very very rude and unprofessional salon owner/manager, Susan, hung up on the bride. We have yet to hear back from them with an apology or any sort of refund for the girls who had to have their hair redo. Most unprofessional, unkind, not friendly and frankly untalented group of "professional hair/makeup artists" I have ever come into contact with. Please, if you want to look pretty on your big day- RUN
