Amazing photographers, would highly recommend!

I loved working with Seth and Desiree two years ago during our wedding! I'm reviewing our photos (again) and finding so much of the joy and beauty of the wedding day captured in their work. They were so good about finding gorgeous lighting and back drops throughout the day and mixing candids with directed photos. My husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera and were worried about feeling awkward, but none of that was an issue- we honestly had such a great time working with them. They were so good at providing direction, were unintrusive, calm and had a great sense of humor. They also scouted out the sites ahead of time and their level of preparation showed in how organized they were the day of. We couldn't be happier with the memories we have now, from photos with family and friends to really beautiful photos the rings, venue and all the little details we didn't get to see the day of. Cannot speak highly enough of them - I only regret posting this so late!

Perfect photos

Dez and Seth were the perfect fit for us as our wedding photographers. They instantly made us feel comfortable and natural, like friends. The dynamic of having a couple take photos for your wedding also just feels right! The photos turned out just amazing and we were so, so happy with them. Everyone in my family loved looking through them. I would describe their style as the perfect combination between real-life and stylized. They also have a way of shooting that really takes advantage of light in all its forms - we got great photos throughout the day - from morning posed photos to beautiful dusk magic hour to night shots on the dancefloor. I would 100% recommend Zelo!

Wonderful to work with!

We met Seth and Dez at the Bridal Bazaar and liked that they came across as low key and not trying too hard to be on point with the latest trends. Their photography style was classic, which we knew would age well and not look dated in 10-20 years. We met up with them one on one and found they were as easy going as they seemed (which is great for people who aren't necessarily comfortable in front of a camera).

We hired them for both our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. During our engagement shoot, Seth and Dez were super patient with us and helped us look relaxed and natural. I'm not particularly photogenic, so when we got the photos, I was shocked by how many great photos there were of us (70+ that I loved)! We used them for both our save the date as well as our wedding guestbook!

On the big day, Seth and Dez were prepared and patient as we did almost all of our photos before the ceremony. They worked wonderfully with us (no surprise there), but also did great with our families who kept wandering off and the kids who weren't fans of the camera. They were also super accommodating of family who was taking photos with their phones, which was much appreciated.

Additionally, Seth and Dez were unobtrusive during the reception. They were capturing the important moments without constantly pulling my husband and I around, so we were able to visit with guests and enjoy the evening. We haven't received our photos (as it's only been a couple days), but if they are anything like the engagement photos, we are in for such a treat!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, I would encourage you to meet with Seth and Dez at Zelo Photography. You get two professional photographers (rather than one and an assistant) that are lovely to work with and do a fantastic job!

Fun to work with and awesome photos!

Zelo Photography was great to work with! We used them for our engagement and wedding photos. They were a fun couple to work with during the sessions. Our photos were beautiful! We got married at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club and took our engagement photos in Balboa Park. They captured all the details on our special day that we weren't able to see--and it was awesome viewing the photos afterwards.

Fun, artistic, must hire photographers

Do yourself a favor and hire these photographers! Of all the vendors we worked with for our wedding, they were definitely our favorites! Btw, how do you not love that this is a wife and husband team?! You're getting 2 photographers, instead of needing to pay for an extra assistant to cover. At lot of photographers we looked at were priced for one photographer (same price range), but yet we would have needed to pay extra for another one.

They were super responsive, extremely flexible, and also just really fun enjoyable people to work with! Seth and Des have a great balance of letting us be us (to capture all the amazing candids) but they also have an amazing eye for artistic shots, where they would recommend different poses for us when we didn't know how else to stand/ pose. They made it fun to do photo-shoot and even laugh! What also stood out to me about them is their professionalism! We suggested two winery locations to shoot for our engagement session that they had never been to before. They showed up early, scoped out the locations, and suggested which locations to shoot and how to frame the shot. It was just extremely efficient, and so we got so many nice shots in! On our wedding day, we had a super packed day, but they came earlier than scheduled and started prepping and shooting. It was hectic on our wedding day, we fell behind our timeline (not the photographers fault), but still the photographers were flexible, not frazzled, and adjusted and worked to get all the shots in. So kudos to them!

Finally, we want to also say how much we appreciated their flexibleness!!! We took our engagement photos mid-august, and needed a quick turn-around time for the pics so we could use for our wedding in September. They were able to send us our final engagement photos in a few weeks, so that we were able to develop the pictures. We also received some sneak peak pictures post-wedding, which we really appreciated. We are waiting for our final edit wedding pictures to come back to us, but have no reservations that they will be great and awesome pictures like the engagement photos!

GREAT Photographers and FUN

We absolutely loved working with Zelo Photography. We had a bad experience with a previous photographer due to poor communication and lack of follow through. We found Zelo through a friend and they were so easy to work with! They are professional and extremely fun. Our engagement session turned out amazing (props to them for showing up in 50 degree SF weather). We had so many favorites to choose from! The day of our wedding, through all the craziness they remained calm and took so many pictures, having an eye for great spots at our venue too! I'm excited about the shots we took in the rain -- yes, I trust them enough to stand in the rain because they are THAT cool. Excited to see how the photos turn out.

Seth and Dez are the BEST! We are so happy that we booked Zelo Photography for our engagement photos and wedding day. It was so great to get to know them and become comfortable with them during our engagement shoot, and it made the wedding day so comfortable since we already knew them!!

The thing that really drew us to them is that when you book Zelo, you ALWAYS get Seth and Dez as your two photographers. A lot of other companies send you the person that drew you to them + some random person with a camera in their hand. With Zelo, you get two legit photographers and they don't miss a thing!

The other thing that sets Zelo apart from the rest is that you get a USB drive with freedom to get enlargements, postcards, books, stickers, or whatever you might want.

We really enjoyed working with Zelo Photography - the pictures came out stunning and we couldn't be happier. Seth and Dez are also really easy to work with - we found them to be very responsive and communicative, which means a LOT for wedding planning. Their prices are also the most reasonable we found - we selected them based on their style and photos we liked at our venue, and were pleasantly surprised that despite travel costs (they are in Socal), they were the most affordable. They delivered in so many ways - from the multiple portrait style family photos needed to satisfy the parents to many beautiful, natural shots capturing the full breadth of emotions. We also found it really helpful to have 2 photographers to capture separate "Getting ready" photos and all of the micro moments all night. All in all, really great experience and highly recommended!

Dez and Seth are amazing! They made much of the stress of our wedding so much easier to handle with their wonderful personalities and experience in the wedding photography business. The whole process was very smooth from our initial consultation, to the final minutes of our wedding reception. They had great idea for us to take our engagement photos at UCSD and Torrey Pines State Beach and every photo they took turned out flawless. Even with so much going on during the day of the wedding, they were able to capture all of the great moments that we had with our family and friends. Their passion and professionalism in their work is second to none and we couldn't have made a better choice in working with them!

Seth and Dez were so much fun to work with! They photographed my wedding in La Jolla and were very responsive and thoughtful throughout the planning process. Email communication was great and they even helped me plan out the first look logistics based on their experience shooting in the Scripps / Martin Johnson house area. We chose Zelo because their portfolio on their site looked dynamic, fun, natural, and with great use of light and angles. They definitely stayed true to that on our wedding day! We also met up in person a few times to discuss our vision and we got along really well, which was a great sign.

On the day of the wedding, Seth and Dez made me and my husband feel at ease. They were fun, easygoing, and relaxed, and gave us good direction for amazing shots on the beach. I’m so happy with the photos they captured. They captured such a beautiful perspective of the wedding day in a way I didn’t get to see with my own eyes. Precious precious photos!! It did take the full 12 weeks after the wedding to get our photos, and the waiting was definitely tough, but worth it in the end.

Seth and Desiree are the best! I hired them for some professional shots for my business a few years ago and my sister hired them for her family shots as they were saying goodbye to their home in San Diego. The photos from those two sessions were fantastic. My sister is still in awe how they captured great shots even with two little ones who weren't in the mood for photos.

So of course, we hired Zelo for our engagement and wedding photos. They're such a fun couple, very professional and have an artistic eye for those little poignant, funny and heart-filled moments. They delivered more quality picture choices than any other photographer I've worked with (we had a ton of choices from posed to candid for both the engagement and wedding sessions). The pre-ceremony shots with the bridal party and family were a breeze because Zelo had us fill out a template and list ahead of time. We got married on the beach with the sun and wind in full force -- and Zelo delivered. They captured amazing shots of family and friends, as well as all the getting ready and little decorative details from the wedding. Zelo provides an online gallery to view and purchase prints/canvas, and then delivers a thumb drive/file with every photo in high res and web res formats. Outstanding quality and value. Seth & Dez are a dynamic duo! They are incredibly patient, flexible, creative, and friendly. We truly appreciated that they were able to capture both of our pre-ceremony moments at two different locations! They took the time to find the perfect shots and they were responsive to our needs and requests throughout the entire day. My husband and I have really been thinking through the kind of review we wanted to leave for these two, but in reality, words cannot describe how great our experience was with Zelo. From the beginning, we enjoyed getting to know Seth and Desiree. They are real people with a true passion for one another and the work that they do. My husband (who hates taking photos), raved about how Seth managed the groomsmen in the pre-ceremony shots, and Desiree flawlessly took care of myself and my bridesmaids during that time as well, despite crazy timelines and having to hide from guests and my groom. Everyone was impressed with their ability to have fun, move quickly and think of everything when it came to poses. And this was all before ever seeing the final product! The day we received our pictures, we jumped up and down for a few minutes before diving in. Every detail was captured and no expression went unnoticed. When my fiancé and I started looking for photographers, we were budget conscious but also knew we wanted to have high quality photo memories to treasure our special day. We were also nervous about finding photographers that we got along with so that we would not look stiff in front of the camera. From the very beginning, Seth and Dez set a calm, cool yet knowledgeable and professional tone in all of their communication (phone, email, and in-person). They were exactly what we were looking for!

Tomer and I had a fairly traditional Jewish wedding with an elegant yet laid-back, fun reception. With this in mind, we hoped to find photographers who understood the important moments to capture in a Jewish wedding. Seth and Dez immediately impressed us with their ability to understand our unique desires while also giving their professional input.

Despite their busy calendar, on our wedding day we felt like they were truly focused on us and our event, and we were happy to see this reflected in our photos. We are so happy we chose to work with Zelo Photography and highly recommend them to others (they already shot my best friend's wedding in October!)!

We went to the San Diego Bridal Bazaar to explore photographers. We expected to be overwhelmed and that was indeed the case until we came across the Zelo Photography booth. The booth design was chic and Dez and Seth were very helpful answering our questions. And of course their photography was beautiful! We used Zelo for our engagement photos and for our wedding. For our engagement session Dez and Seth arrived early to explore the area and identify unique spots to take the pictures. We are delighted with all of our photos. Dez and Seth are true artists. My husband and I looked a long time for photographers for our engagement and wedding photos. With my goofy camera shyness and his graphic design background we knew we would be asking a great deal from our photographers to be. They were quick to respond to our inquires and answered all our questions and were flexible with scheduling. Zelo Photography not only delivered us an amazing set of engagement photos that our families obsessed over, they were just downright a fun and passionate duo that were fun to be around! When the wedding rolled around, that day was a whirlwind and went by so fast, their professional and deliberate work style was comforting and made the day flawless and easy to enjoy since we weren't worried about them missing anything. Since the day went so fast (seriously so fast!) my husband and I could barely remember some of the details and we didn't get to see the dessert table or other areas before it was all over. Luckily Zelo was fantastic and when we got our amazing wedding photos they had taken of our day they had all the details and then some! It was so great to see some of the things we missed or couldn't remember at the time! Now we have printed memories to share with family and friends of the best day ever! We could never thank them enough and we recommend anyone looking for fun, passionate and professional photographers to book them NOW!

Seth and Dez are an absolute pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond in every phase of the process.

One wedding day example: On their walk back to their car after packing up and saying their goodbyes, Seth and Dez saw an opportunity for a breathtaking photo in a tucked away section of our venue. They circled back to the reception (after their scheduled timetable), unpacked, and asked us if we'd like to take advantage of the lighting/scenery for one last photo. We happily agreed and the photo they took is stunning. This is just one anecdote of many where Seth and Dez went above and beyond the call of duty.

Their product speaks for itself and they have a unique talent for capturing people's expressions in photos. I have no constructive feedback for them. They are an "A" vendor. We would highly recommend them.

I found out about Zelo Photography from my best friend. When I was having trouble finding a photographer that I liked and that was within my budget, she recommended them to me. I was nervous about hiring a photographer I could not meet in person, but after a few phone calls with Seth, I knew I found the right team for the job. Seth answered all of my questions promptly and was transparent with Zelo's pricing.

On the day of the wedding, Seth and Des were fantastic to work with. They simultaneously blended into the background but also stayed present to capture all the key events and to keep us moving to certain places to get more shots. They gave us commands without being bossy or pushy. We would have missed many great photos without their expert guidance. Moreover, we really enjoyed the energy and vibes they radiated throughout the day. They cracked jokes and put us at ease constantly. My husband and I both agree this was one of the best parts about working with Seth and Des!

Zelo's expertise and professionalism shined through the most when they delivered the final product to us: our photos! The photos are gorgeous and capture the true essence of what our wedding was to us. The photos are crisp, colorful and expertly edited. They captured both the sentimental moments and the lighthearted moments with equal skill. I am so happy that I chose Zelo to capture our wedding!

Seth and Dez are an amazing husband and wife photographer team with a great eye for beautiful photography. Their photos strike the perfect balance of capturing the moment while maintaining a beautiful artistic feel. We are based on LA but got married in Northern CA wine country. Zelo's travel fee was reasonable, and we loved their sample photos so we decided to book them. From the beginning, Seth and Dez were very responsive and were very flexible on hearing our vision for our engagement and wedding photos. After our engagement photos came back, we knew that we were in great hands for the wedding. All of our photos came back looking beautiful and were neatly organized into easily shareable albums. Seth and Dez were the PERFECT photographers for our wedding! When it came time for us to search for a wedding photographer, we had no idea where to start among the many to choose from in the San Diego area. Serendipitously we came across a wonderful sunset photo on Instagram of our wedding venue and we were in awe of the moment that the photo captured - we knew we wanted to hire whoever had taken that photo, and it happened to be Zelo! From the consultation process, negotiating a VERY affordable engagement shoot + wedding coverage package, and the actual photo sessions, Seth and Dez were always warm, professional, fun to work with, and dedicated to their craft. They indulged our desire for an engagement photoshoot emcompassing several different locations, which included Seth getting sandy and wet to get the perfect sunset beach shots. During the wedding, we learned the necessity of having two talented photographers for coverage of both myself and my husband during the intimate moments with our family and wedding party as we got ready at our different locations. During the wedding itself, they seamlessly integrated themselves into the flow of the day without interrupting any of the special moments. They were fully accommodating with our requests for certain photos, as well as extending our coverage time when our wedding went past schedule (brides-to-be, expect this to happen haha!).

Of course, the final product is what's most important, and that is where Zelo sets itself apart. They had "warned" us that we would receive a large amount of photographs, but it wasn't until my husband and I got our photos that we realized how many they took! The wedding day is so busy and fast and we had wished we could slow down time to enjoy it all, but luckily Zelo provided us a masterpiece collection of every single moment. To this day we can transport ourselves back to our special day whenever we look our photos - and that is priceless. Thank you Zelo Photography!

They were beyond accommodating for our special needs, from being an out-of-state couple to changing some packages to fit our needs, Zelo went above and beyond. When nerves were already running high, stomachs were taking flips, and all the planning was coming down to a couple of hours, Seth and Dez make you feel like family, which is exactly the way my husband and I wanted to feel on that day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with such a professional duo.

Seth and Dez were absolutely incredible to work with. They were so flexible and very responsive, and it made the whole process so easy. We did an engagement shoot with them and we had the best time, laughing the entire time. Better yet, the photos came out so incredibly beautiful! We got so many compliments on them. For our wedding Seth and Dez went above and beyond to make our day fun while getting all the shots we needed. Of all of our wedding vendors Zelo photography was by far our favorite! Can't say enough good things about them and their amazing work. SO excited to see all the final photos!

If you're considering hiring Zelo Photography, look no further. My husband and I very infrequently write reviews, but we had such a positive experience with Seth and Dez of Zelo Photography that we felt compelled to write them a glowing review. In short, they are as professional as they come, the value and quality of their work is top-notch, and above all, they are an absolute pleasure to work with.

After meeting with several different photographers, we chose Seth and Dez for their charismatic personalities and ability to make us feel instantly comfortable -- something that was very important to us in a wedding photographer. After seeing their impressive portfolio of work and our initial face-to-face meeting, we were sold! My husband certainly does not love having his photo taken (and neither do I), but we felt at complete ease with Seth and Dez during our engagement photos and more importantly, on the day of our wedding itself. Having our engagement photo session with Seth and Dez was a great "warm-up" for the big day, as we got to understand their photography style and they got to know a little more about us, which translated really well in our photos. On our wedding day, Seth and Dez arrived early to scope out the best angles and shots at our hotel and wedding venue and really captured every little detail. It was important that we stuck to a tight schedule throughout the wedding day, which inevitably put pressure on Seth and Dez, but they handled it with nothing but grace and professionalism. We were thrilled with our wedding photos and have already recommended them to some of our closest friends.

All-in-all, hiring Zelo Photography was one of the BEST vendor decisions we made for our wedding. We highly recommend them to all couples looking for a stellar wedding photographer!

If I could only describe Seth & Dez (Zelo Photography) in three words they would be SINCERE, ATTENTIVE & FABULOUS!!! Seth & Dez ended up being more than just a wedding vendor, they became friends. My Fiance, now Hubby and I had so much fun shooting our engagement photos with Seth & Dez. Yes, I said FUN. They made us feel very comfortable and were so creative with their posses; it truly showed in our pictures. The lighting and scenery the two of them captured as well was phenomenal.
Our wedding photos were just as amazing if not even more amazing because they captured both intimate and fun photos of not only my husband and I and our bridal party but also captured photos of every single person at our wedding in unique ways (130 guests). Seth & Dez are one of a kind and you will not be disappointed with them!!

Seth and Dez are undeniably the best. We had them photograph our March wedding at Cornerstone Sonoma in a torrential downpour and couldn't be happier with the results. The photos were magical.

It was pretty clear from their first email response that they were going to be the right fit for us. Their vibrant personalities shone through even their emails and they always communicated thoroughly and in good time. We knew that we wanted mostly natural, journalistic-style photos with some standard shots mixed in. Their wonderful portfolio and loads of experience at our venue gave us confidence that they were very capable of doing a wonderful job. We booked them remotely without even having had a phone conversation with them.

As our day approached, weather forecast predicted rain. And a lot of it. Before the wedding, Seth and Dez hit us up about rain boots, ponchos, and even said they'd buy a bunch of umbrellas so we could have some fun in the elements. Wet photography can be a daunting proposition, especially given the loads of expensive, non-waterproof equipment, but Seth and Dez never showed the slightest hesitation.

On the day of the wedding, Seth and Dez did whatever was necessary to get the right shots. Not only did they capture every natural moment, but they did an amazing job with staged shots (family, first look, and amazing back-lit rain shots). Their upbeat, optimistic, and outgoing personalities made them great additions to our wedding. Forever recommended.

You want Seth and Dez to be your wedding photographers! Beautiful, timeless photos and seamless teamwork. You’ll have countless vivid memories throughout your wedding and you’ll need someone you can rely on to capture them. Seth and Dez deliver perfectly on all fronts and are super personable (chill/fun) and professional (skilled/quick) so you can stick to the hard work of getting married! When we were looking for a photographer, we noticed many flashy photographers oversaturate, over process, and over-HDR their photos - if you think you like this now, you won’t in a couple years when it’s out of style. You’re going to want your wedding photos to be timeless and forever tasteful. The photos we got back from Zelo were vivid and perfectly colored and composed.

They met with us first to get to know our style and vision, and shot our engagement photos first. The photos that came back blew us away and then we knew we really wouldn’t have to worry about one of the biggest parts of the wedding. This duo will make being comfortable easy even if you’re not used to being in front of the camera. Seth and Dez worked superbly with our venue coordinator to make sure everything was timely and successful and got all the shots we wanted, including some amazingly epic photos. Book them as early as possible, they can be in two places at once but only at one wedding!

We cannot say enough good things about Zelo Photography, and felt that way even before seeing our pictures. It was a little nerve-wracking planning a wedding in San Diego while we were living in Kansas, but Seth and Dez put us at ease from the first phone call. Even though we hadn't met them until the day of the rehearsal, it felt like we had our friends taking pictures. They braved a hot day for our rehearsal (and melted along with the rest of us) and showed up bright and early on Sunday morning to take pictures before our ceremony. During the reception, they were unobtrusive but still managed to get great pictures and make sure that everything from the day was included. And then there were the pictures themselves. They were absolutely perfect. From candid pictures of the bridesmaids to formal pictures of family, they all turned out beautifully and didn't look too "done" as some wedding pictures can. They captured our day so wonderfully and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing great photographers for their event!!

Seth and Dez were awesome!! Couldn't recommend them more highly. They were excellent on the day of, even working with my husband's request to not have our photographers detract from our enjoyment of our wedding day, but they still got TONS of amazing photos. Great mix of classic posed photos and candid shots. They're also very relaxed but professional as well. Definitely go with Zelo Photography!!

My now husband and I had attended a friend’s wedding some years ago; after her big day she showed me 1 picture she had received from her wedding photographers (Zelo) and we knew in that single photo that when we married we wanted Zelo Photography.

When we did get engaged in 2015 we contacted Zelo right away; we knew we wanted Zelo Photography for our wedding day. Seth and Dez are FANTASTIC, AMAZING, OUT OF THIS WORLD WONDERFUL!!!! We had so much fun with them on our engagement shoot and wedding day; we laughed the entire time. They made us feel so comfortable and captured our love in such beautiful photos. We love how creative they are and use everything around us to really make the photos come to life and stand out. Seth and Dez are hands down the way to go no questions about it, they never skipped a beat, the process easy, and they made everything so seamless. We had such a wonderful experience with Seth and Dez. They produced the most beautiful, high quality, artistic photos of our special day. We didn't have to give them any guidance, they just know their art so well that all the shots we wanted were captured and tons that took us by surprise in a wonderful way. They can work in the elements such as our wedding which was very rustic and temps were almost into 100 degrees. We had so many compliments when we shared our photos. So happy we found Zelo Photography and they were available to shoot our wedding. Make sure to book in advance as they are very popular for good reason!!

Simply put Seth and Dez do excellent work and the proof is in the final product they delivered to us. We absolutely love our pictures that captured our wedding, the people and the love that surrounded the day. These two were amazing. We got our pictures a few weeks ago and were completely blown away by how beautiful they all were. My wife and I were both so lucky to have come across their work at our venue. Once we got to speaking with both Seth and Desiree we knew they would be the team to capture our day. Their creativity, character and professionalism truly shows in their work. They both were so easy to talk to and made sure we felt comfortable on our biggest day and throughout the months leading up to it. Once we got back our pictures, we saw how much they really cared about their work. All the small details that we mentioned in our meetings and consultations (even the ones we couldn't remember) were in all the pictures.

It rained the day of the wedding and these two didn't skip a beat. They knew how to handle the elements and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. They were always readily available via email and text when we had questions and were also accommodating when there were some last minute changes to our timeline and shooting times. Throughout the day of the wedding, they made sure we got to experience and take in the day while making sure all the shots we wanted were captured. We could not have asked for a better team and are truly blessed we were able to have Zelo Photography as our photographers.

Where do we start....Seth and Des are amazing people, amazing photographers! The whole experience with Zelo was fun and easy from the initial "hey we're interested in your work" email to the actual photo shoot itself to receiving the photos. Even my MIL was blown away--first by how photogenic we actually turned out to be, but also--by how quickly the photos she ordered showed up at her door!
Seth and Des really helped us feel like our goofy selves on the day of the shoot. I felt like they understood just how awkward we imagined taking photos would be, and they helped us find a comfort zone that I feel really gave us the best photos we could have asked for. To say we were pleased with the whole experience is a huge understatement. You really should let these guys take your photos!!! You will be so glad you did!

Seth & Dez are more than a joy to work with! I met them at a Bridal Bizarre and their beautiful wood backdrop for their booth caught my eye (it is seriously amazing -- check out their instagram page for a photo! @zelophotography). Their style is just what I was looking for; classic, fun, and romantic. Seth & Dez were very flexible and easy to work with -- I had no problems setting up a date and time for our engagement session. I was actually super nervous about having my pictures taken but Seth & Dez were so laid back that it was so comfortable to work with them. We laughed and talked the whole session. Our engagement session went great and the end result was more than I could have hoped for. They are so talented!! Once we settle on a date for our wedding, I will definitely be contacting them again! :)

We used Zelo Photography for our wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club on September 27, 2014. The first few conversations I had with Seth over the phone were great. He was very reassuring that him and Dez would be able to handle it all. When we met them they were a breath of fresh air. Very relaxed, funny, warm, and professional. They made us feel very comfortable immediately. This is so important when you are filled with nerves and anxiousness on your wedding day.

Our photos turned our flawless. We walked away with the most beautiful photos. Seth and Dez caught every amazing moment. If you are looking for two photographers, husband and wife, who make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and beautiful, you must pick Zelo Photography. I was lucky enough to work with Zelo Photography for my Engagement shoot in August 2014. Seth and Des were really accommodating and easy to work with. They were extremely flexible to times and location ideas. They had great ideas as to locations to go in the San Diego area and really captured what we were hoping for. The photos came out stunning and we received them very quickly. Throughout the shoot they kept us laughing and enjoying the moment, which really shown through in our photos. Seth and Dez were absolutely wonderful to work with! From our initial interview with them, we knew right away, we wanted them to photograph our wedding. We LOVED our photos from Seth and Dez. We used them for our engagement session and they were able to provide a very quick turn-around so that we could use a photobook from the session as a sign-in book at the wedding. Zelo is the best! No doubt about it, hands down the best! Seth and Desiree are like two peas in a pod…a pod of excellent photography! We were honored to have our wedding captured forever by their creative and professional approach to photography. I truly believe that this husband and wife duo have an eye for great shots that you will not find with other wedding photographers.
We live in Arizona, but we were having our wedding in San Diego. Making things run smoothly long distance is not always easy, but Zelo pulled through with the open line of communication. Had we been available to get out to San Diego more easily, we surely would have had engagement photos done with Zelo, and I regret not making it happen.
Seth and Desiree worked together as a team so efficiently, they never missed a shot. They were ready at every turn: before, during, and after the ceremony.
The photo selection process after it was all said and done was smooth and easy. The selection process wasn't about getting rid of the photos that were "bad," but more about choosing the photos that were the most amazing. I don't think Zelo knows what the word "average" means, because their work is so far beyond that!
All in all, our experience was a blast! We'd recommend Zelo in a heartbeat! They are the best at what they do, and if you don't believe that, then allow them to prove it, because they will!!!

We love Zelo! We found Seth and Des by looking through blog posts of previous weddings at our venue (Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad) and thought Zelo's photos were clearly the best. They were classic but also fun, and the colors just seemed to pop out of their photos. We arranged to meet with 3 photographers, because Zelo's prices were a bit more than we had planned for, but especially after meeting with them it was no question who we would hire. Seth and Des are fun people, and made us feel at ease from our first meeting. We ended up hiring them for an engagement session and 8 hours at the wedding, but not doing albums, to save a bit of money there. We could not be happier with our experience. They suggested fantastic locations for our engagement session (balboa park and then a rocky beach in la jolla) and had us laughing and looking our best. We were nervous, but it ended up being fun! Our experience at the wedding was even better. They were organized, on time, and ready to go with our list of "must have photos." Our ceremony start was delayed because of a mishap with another vendor, and they did not miss a beat, using the extra pre-wedding time to get additional photos we had planned for afterwards. They were around but not in the way the whole night, being there when we wanted a group shot, but otherwise keeping a low profile and snapping candids. We really appreciated how before they left they asked us if there were any other photos we still wanted, and waited as we gathered together friends we hadn't gotten photos of earlier. They also set up an AMAZING night shot of us using remote flashes. We got our photos back 4 or 5 weeks after the wedding (so fast!), and LOVE them. The day was beautiful, but their photos REALLY made the day look beautiful. They caught so many moments, from facial expressions during the toasts to moves on the dance floor to artistic details of the venue. Hiring Zelo was seriously one of the best decisions we made for the whole wedding.

They were a referral from my sister who was wed a year prior to me, and after seeing how stunning her photos turned out I HAD to use Zelo! We were so glad to have been referred to Seth and Dez. They came all the way out from SoCal up to NorCal wine country to shoot our wedding. On top of that they really understood what we wanted, they canvassed our wedding venue, selected awesome backgrounds, and really did their best to capture the moment and scenery. To this day my wife and I look at our photos and get emotional, not just because of our special moment but because so many of the photos capture the feelings. I met Seth and Dez at the bridal bizarre in downtown San Diego and right away they stood out from other photographers. They were actually listening to me and not trying to pitch any "spiel." When they followed up the next week, it wasn't with an automated message but a personal one that included the specifics we had talked about. My fiance and I were very impressed with their photos. Nothing was cheesy; everything was very classy and had a very warm feeling to it. They were the first photographers we interviewed and they answered all the questions we didn't even know we had, including giving us advice about what to ask other photographers we might be considering. When all the interviews were done, I knew they were my first choice, and Seth and Dez worked with us to come up with a package that would fit our budget. Leading up to the wedding, they were available for any questions and made the whole portrait planning process a breeze. Day of they were very calm and professional, things I had been looking for in a photographer since I knew I would be stressed out and the last thing I needed was a high-strung photographer ordering people around. They captured every important moment with ninja stealth; we never even knew they were there! They worked seamlessly around our schedule, keeping the day all about us. And the end product is superb. We absolutely love all of our photos and haven't yet tired of looking through them all as we share them with family and friends. I highly recommend Zelo to any bride looking for a photography team that will deliver great photos with zero stress.

When I say "exceeded our expectations", you might think that maybe we didn't have the highest of expectations. However, this is entirely not true! When my husband and I were first searching for a photographer, we found many websites, and Zelo Photography was the first one who made us really feel "WOWed" by their work. We knew they were going to put fourth incredible work. So needless to say, when we had our expectations EXCEEDED, and by a long shot, we couldn't have been happier! We have looked through our wedding photos about a million times over and never tire of it! I found Seth and Des at the Bridal Faire in Del Mar, and from the get go, they were friendly, warm, and easy to talk to. More than that, their photos spoke for themselves: beautiful moments that were captured so effortlessly. I was drawn to their albums immediately--other photographers' photos looked as if they were trying too hard with funky colors and hazes. When we set up an engagement session, my now husband and I felt really awkward. We weren't used to posing and never figured out what to do with our hands! ;) Yet, Seth and Des made us feel completely comfortable. Fast forward to our wedding day. It's amazing how despite only spending one other day together, it felt as if we were old friends. There was no awkwardness. We could just be completely ourselves, and Zelo was there to capture it all. Every single person that has viewed our photos has said they're the best wedding photos they've ever seen. We worked with Seth & Dez in 2012 when they did both an engagement photo shoot and took pictures on the day of our wedding. We were extremely satisfied with the services provided by Zelo Photography, and we would absolutely recommend them to others.

When we were choosing photographers for our wedding, we went to the Bridal Expo at the San Diego Convention Center, and it turned out to be a valuable learning experience. We learned that many photographers take nice pictures...but the style of both the pictures and the photographers themselves will vary quite a bit. The hardest part is figuring out what style will match you and your personality as a couple, but we found that meeting the photographers in person made this process easier. We met photographers who were everything from SuperDuper-OMG-Energetic!! to darker, more introverted and borderline creepy...and then there was Zelo Photography. Seth & Dez were cool and laid back, yet professional and highly talented. We immediately felt comfortable around them, which was important because we had never done a professional "photo shoot" before. Remember that you will spend your ENTIRE wedding day with your photographers!

We have been nothing but pleased with the photographs, many of which are prominently displayed in our home. The work of Zelo Photography will help us remember that special day for the rest of our lives.

I truly can't recommend better photographers. Years ago, a friend used them for her wedding, and I remember being in awe of the pictures returned to her. Within a day of getting engaged, we had a couple of flexible wedding dates in mind, and Zelo Photography was our first call. I knew I absolutely had to use them. Such a delight to work with, responded immediately to (MANY MANY) questions I had, and really helped me with the planning process. They came from San Diego to Arizona in the middle of a HOT summer, and were fabulous. They were such good sports despite 100+ degree temperatures, joking, helping us relax, and have a great time. Even when I had a dress/hair mishap, Dez was the one to help me out and troubleshoot!! By the end of the night, they honestly felt like friends, such a pivotal part of our big day. When our pictures came back, they blew our impossibly high expectations out of the water. They beautifully captured the wedding details, our candid moments, expressions, and the love shared by us, our family, and wedding guests. Absolutely breathtaking photography, which did our memories justice of the all-too-fast wedding day. It was the best decision we made :) I have four younger sisters and a younger brother who will get married someday, and without a doubt, will use Zelo Photography. Can't wait!!!

We were blown away by Seth and Desiree of Zelo Photography. They were recommended by our coordinator and we could not have been happier or delighted. they were flexible and FUN! They did a lot to reduce the stress and make us feel comfortable in front of the lens. Our photos came out better than I could have ever hoped. We are not spring chickens so I was really nervous...but we looked fabulous and their eye for a good shot is modern and very creative. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone!

I met Seth & Desiree at the Bridal Bazaar in Del Mar. I actually approached them because they were the only booth at that show that weren't attacking me when I walked by and telling me what I had to have for my wedding. Choosing them for our photographer was by far our best decision! They made me and my now husband feel so comfortable, most of the time you didn't even notice they were there taking pictures.
Our wedding was probably the hottest day of the year and they were still running all around trying to capture the best shots.

I have many friends that were disappointed w/ the photographer at their weddings and I honestly can say that I don't have a single complaint. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for an amazing photographer.

I cannot speak anymore highly of Zelo Photography! Seth and Desiree were absolutely AMAZING to work with. My fiancé and I flew out from Chicago to San Diego to do our engagement session and we had no idea what to expect. They were very good with communicating with us in planning on where to meet and what not. Oh, and might I add that our photos turned out INCREDIBLE. I recommend them to EVERYONE. After seeing photos from other wedding venues of friends, I learned to appreciate Zelo's work. At first I was bummed that I didn't receive as many photos as I would like, but then I noticed they sorted through hundreds of photos and organized them for me. I really appreciated that because having to sift through 4 or 5 photos of the same scene would be killer. I would highly recommend them.

Choosing Seth and Desiree to photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We could not be more pleased with our photos. We wanted cool and contemporary pictures, nothing cheesy. They delivered and exceeded all of our expectations. Each time we look at the pictures we are amazed. We found Seth and Desiree to be a real class act. We feel so lucky that we had the opportunity to work with Seth and Desiree of Zelo Photography for our engagement and wedding photos! Seth and Dez were FANTASTIC. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better photography company for our engagement photos. After a bad situation with another photographer who just never showed up for the session, I contacted Zelo photography based on a friend's recommendation. They were super prompt in all correspondence, and for the price, you really get SO much; so we immediately set up a date within a week to meet and take the photos. They had us laughing during most of the shoot, and the photos came out AMAZING. We ended up shooting in two locations (Balboa Park and the beach at La Jolla) based on the vision I had for the photos, which Seth planned perfectly. Even my fiance (someone who dreads getting his picture taken!) said the shoot was tons of fun. After getting our photos back (which was a pretty quick turn around for hundreds of photos!) everyone has complimented us on how beautiful they are. Best decision about my wedding thus far has been using Zelo!

We've been used to being on the other side of the camera (wannabe photographers that we are) so this was definitely a daunting task, being photographed. Zelo Photography was our absolute favorite vendor at our October 3, 2009 wedding in Coronado, CA. My husband and I met them at the San Diego Bridal Fair in La Jolla and after chatting with Dez & Seth for five minutes we knew we had to pick them as our photographers. Their hip style, relaxed vibe and excitement for our wedding was just what we were looking for. My husband and I went to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Zelo drove up to SLO for our engagement session photo shoot. We loved our photos - so unique and fun! The day of our wedding Seth was with the boys and Dez with the girls (pre-ceremony) which was prefect to have both photographers able to capture 'the getting ready' time of both bride and groom. All of our wedding photos were AMAZING!! My dad had reserved a getaway car as a surprise at the end of our reception and Zelo stayed till the end to capture our departure ride. They are the BEST!

Zelo was the perfect match for our wedding weekend. My wife and I planned 3 days of events back on the east coast in Martha's Vineyard. Seth and Des are the BOMB. My husband was REALLY picky- REALLY picky about who was going to be our photographers but Seth and Des are so awesome- we didn't think twice! The day of they picked GREAT areas to take pictures that made me look FABULOUS and they were REALLY good with my crazy mom and her picture request. I was so happy they were able to take really good pictures at my reception. They captured great moments, and used techniques that I LOVED. I really liked fish-eye and I wanted a group picture and they combined both to give me a masterpiece! All the night pictures were amazing... They're just amazing, and they are couple which is great because us ladies have a good side and Des knows that!:-) They have great ideas and really work to make your pictures amazing!

We had so much fun with Seth and Desiree! They were wonderful to work with. We worked with them for our engagement pictures and wedding pictures both. This was the BEST decision I made about our wedding! I knew that photographs are really the only thing you have left after the wedding has come and gone, and it was important to me to have the very best, which is definitely what we got. Our wedding was three months ago, and I still flip through my albums every week and am amazed by the photos. Seth and Desiree are professional, but also very personal and really listed to what we wanted and the feel we wanted to create at our wedding. I don't have patience for loads of posed family pictures, I wanted more action shots and a "real feel". They did a wonderful job at making sure that we got enough family shots to satisfy the parents, while focusing on preserving the authentic moments of both the ceremony and reception. I also really appreciated all the time they spent with us before booking. We really got a chance to know them, which made it so natural for them to be with us on our wedding day. We were on our honeymoon when our pictures got posted online, and when we got home I was greeted with messages from many friends and relatives who were amazed at the photos. I also really liked the flexibility they provide. You can order directly prints directly from their website, or get them printed on you own. Our guests really liked being able to order right away, and not having to go though me to get the photos they wanted.

My husband was nervous to be in front of the camera but they had him calm and comfortable in no time! They were so professional and always responded to my email/phone calls very quickly. Seth and Desiree made us feel so comfortable during our wedding and got gorgeous, amazing shots. They were helpful before the big day (preparing us for what needed to happen), extremely professional, and went above and beyond (staying later than needed).
One concern was that it did take much longer than stated in the contract to get our edited photos back. This was all due to Zelo's popularity and high in-demand that they have such a long queue, but perhaps the wait time could be managed better. Once we got our pictures though, we loved them and they were worth the wait.

My husband and I are not the kind of folks who usually enjoy having photos taken. However, we had such a great experience with Zelo. Seth and Dez were so much fun to work with and we love the photos. They even did a great job getting adorable shots of my 3 year old nephew who was really not interested in participating. :P Our wedding was super small, just our immediate family at the county administration center in downtown San Diego. Seth and Dez captured our low key style while still giving us brag worthy photos that capture a thousand tiny important moments that we would have otherwise missed or have forgotten. I definitely recommend them to everyone, regardless of the size of your wedding.

We hired Zelo Photography to shoot not only our wedding, but events preceding it. We wanted to take a few engagement type pictures before the actual ceremony in Balboa park and downtown. They were more than willing to accommodate us and our busy schedule that day. Seth and Dez were able to document all aspects of the wedding and ceremony perfectly. Since there were two of them we got a full spectrum of photos capturing every detail of the event. The quality of the pictures was great as well. The price was very reasonable especially since we got two photographers, not just one. Overall, my husband and I are very pleased with the service Zelo provided.

Zelo Photography captured our wedding day in beautiful snap shots. Seth and Desiree were so personable and easy going with us and all of our guests. Our wedding photographs look like they came from a wedding magazine. Zelo photography gave us both traditional wedding shots along with fun contemporary ones! They were extremely professional and we highly recommend them for your photography needs.

Phenomenal in every way. Beyond the quality, creativity, color and perspective of the photos, Desiree and Seth were awesome to BE WITH. They were both so easy going and made the day work..... loved them both. They were very flexible, travelled for the wedding etc. Couldn't say enough about them. They shot my friends wedding and when I saw the photos I about died, fell in love and I felt the same when I saw ours....stunning and really captured the love and the vibe we were goin for.

We loved working with Seth and Dez!

Before the wedding day: We coordinated a call with our Wedding Planner and Seth and determined the perfect spots to take the First Look pictures at the Andaz and family pictures in Balboa Park. Since they've shot throughout Balboa, they knew all of the spots to take us, which kept us on schedule and left us with beautiful pictures. We needed a pretty quick turn around time for our engagement pictures, and they really delivered.

On the Big Day: They made our wedding day fun and as stress-free as it could be for the whole family. Seth & Dez worked so hard to get EVERY shot. I swear they were just as tired as we were by the end of the day. The turn around time for the wedding pictures was a bit long, but it was definitely worth the wait! The sheer AMOUNT of pictures they took was incredible. My husband and I were blown away, and so excited to share them with our friends and family.

This review is way overdue! We got married in Sep 2016 in Julian, and met Seth and Dez at a wedding event downtown several months before. We were pretty intimiatated at the event, but when meeting them it just clicked right away. They aren’t pushy in the least, and we loved their vibe and artsy style. Having photographers you are comfortable with is one of the most important things. They are with you pretty much all of your wedding day, and having Seth and Dez felt like having relaxed family around. Plus they are so incredibly talented. We are so in love with our pictures and the album they created for us. I strongly urge you to consider using them for your big events!!!

We loved Zelo! They worked as a great team and made the whole process very relaxing. We even planned cross-country with them because we were having the wedding in a place we were living, and they made everything very easy. Very warm and fun people, as well. We LOVED the way the pictures turned out. They made it very simple for us to view and receive our pictures after event with a great keepsake flash drive and also web-available shots. Highly recommended.

Seth and Dez were a great couple to work with. We chose them to take our engagement and wedding photos because they were relaxed, normal, and just easy to be around. This really helped us stay calm when taking the many (sometimes awkward) photos that come with a wedding. We really loved their simple yet artistic style that made ordinary colors pop. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our photos and will cherish them forever. They are beautiful and timeless. Seth and Dez are obviously very popular and busy, so it did take a bit longer to get our photos back than expected. We also had Seth's side business, "Stuff Makes Stuff," build a LOVE marquee sign for our candy table. It was so beautiful and well made! I'm sure in the future I will ask him to make something else for me.

Seth and Desiree were a fantastic find for our wedding. Our circumstances were unique; 5 weeks to plan a 125 person wedding at an outdoor venue. Finding Zelo and having them be available was what convinced us we could pull it off. We began with the engagement shoot and they were super flexible about locations and approach. When we suggested a location with various backgrounds far apart at dusk we were forced into a speed hiking trip together and it felt like we were out with old friends with a common goal. One would drift a distance off to shoot us while the other would distract us to be captured candidly as we hustled. They alternated naturally and really bring the value of two personalities and artists. At the wedding day they were everywhere I looked firing away, then they had to herd our incredibly large extended family through a long series of staged shorts to include all possible combinations. They never lost their cool and brought fresh new ideas to the very end. Every moment from ceremony to sunset and dancing was captured beautifully and every guest got his or her moment to look like a celebrity. They even stayed beyond their negotiated time. The post production work was impeccable and their sense of craft and integrity to their work comes out even in the workmanship of the usb drive that arrived in it's wooden box. We would choose them again without hesitation and recommend them enthusiastically. Thanks, Seth & Desiree, for adding so much beauty to our wedding day and memories of it.

My husband and I were married in Sonoma, California in August 2012. Seth and Desiree drove up from San Diego to photograph our wedding, which was really going the extra mile! They had experience with our wedding site and really knew cool places to take pictures.
During the wedding they were non-obtrusive but also instructive (letting us know how to get the best shots). They blended into the wedding and we always felt really comfortable having them around.
The pictures that we got from Seth and Des were amazing. They were so beautiful with very unique shots. There was nothing too "posed" and everyone complimented us on the way the pictures came out.
