Loved the downtown Chicago location

This review is for their downtown Chicago location. I booked Zazu for wedding party hair and makeup on my wedding day, and was so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. Jess was flexible and responsive when helping me plan, and Alexa and Tilley made me feel like my most beautiful version of myself on the big day. Everyone's look lasted all night, and we got so many compliments. I definitely recommend Zazu to anyone!

I got my hair and nails done for my wedding. They were great! The day before my wedding I ended up breaking a nail. I called them the morning of my wedding, and they got me in right away and took care of it immediately. The hair turned out beautiful too!

The make-up artist and hairstylist that prepared me for my wedding day are talented, kind people. My wedding party looked awesome, too. I managed to look beautiful and natural for my wedding day and I really owe it all to them. My hair was swept in a Spanish-looking up-do that matched my veil and dress perfectly. It stayed in place all night (and into the next morning) without being sticky and overdone. My friends told me that my makeup was perfect--dramatic, yet natural. It stayed in place throughout the hectic day and I was over joyed with their work. I am comfortable at Zazu, as I have been going there for years, even when I lived in the city. I am confident that they are the best for special occasions and I am very pleased with their work. I must have called and emailed dozens of times to confirm dates and times of appointments (even though they sent confirmations) and they were always pleasant and professional.

I went to the one in Oak Brook, IL, and they were great. Opened up early for me and didn't charge for the extra person who did not show up to my wedding.

My hair stylist did a wonderful job. She took me last minute and did EXACTLY what I asked for and it was perfect. I highly reccommend this salon.

My bridesmaids and I went to Zazu in Wheaton for manicures and pedicures. Everyone seemed really happy with what they got done and it was an enjoyable environment for our girls night out! They even let us bring in our own refreshments!

TJ did an excellent job. Simple and elegant. Zazu is pricey but they were able to do my whole wedding party within an hour. The wedding party's hair was $50 each. ( I paid half as part of the bridal party gift)

I was very satisfied. They did a great job and I felt well taken care of. My only complaint was that they suggested a facial even though I've never had a facial. I took their advice, and I think this contributed to me breaking out a little bit the day before the wedding. But it's always hard to know what the real reason is.

I actually went to the one in downtown Wheaton, IL (60187). I was very satisfied with the end result, but it cost a lot - $60 for trial makeup and $70 for trial hair - for the overall process. My mom and youngest sister liked their hair and makeup, but my other sister was less than satisfied with hers. We had to wait a little bit, but I have since used the hairstylist twice because of how well I like her technique. They are all very nice, and I recommend it strongly.

I chose the bridal makeup package and the bridal up do from the store in Wheaton, not Hinsdale. The girl who did my makeup was excellent and I highly recommend her. My only complaint is that the girl who did my trial hair was not the same as the girl on the day of. She said the other girl had told her what I wanted, so I let her start working only to realize half way through it was not what we had talked about. She pulled it out and started over doing what I wanted but this set me behind on my wedding day schedule. It did turn out really well though. The only other thing is that I payed for my makeup during the trial but was charged again the day of, I was in such a hurry by this point I didn't notice. I went back after my honeymoon and explained what happened and they refunded the money I had payed twice, so that was good. I would recommend this service, just make sure you get the same person for the trial and the day of...

My hair and makeup turned out great at the one in Wheaton and I was very pleased with the end result, but it was definitely very pricey--be prepared to spend about total $300 for the trial and day of. I called the woman at the desk 3 times to clarify what I paid for and it was confusing and Im still wondering if she overcharged me the day of. Kat and Nicky did my hair and makeup and it was great, but during the trial hair, I didnt get to keep my hair up--it was immediately taken down. For $85 Id think I should at least have been able to keep my hair up to show family and friends. Id specifically request Kat and Nicky for great results, but just make sure the woman at the desk charges you correctly. Id look around for another choice before choosing Zazu based on how unclear pricing turned out to be.

They did a beautiful job on the hair and make-up of myself, seven bridesmaids and my mother-in-law. I admired their work so much, I found myself staring at my bridesmaids' hairdos with pride during the day.

Even after explaining the type of stylist I was looking for to do my updo, I was recommended possibly the least compatible stylist in the salon. My trial updo was ridiculous looking and completely disappointing. In addition to not liking it, I had to pay for it! I returned for a second trial with another stylist, and it was much better, but unfortunately, still not exactly what I wanted.
