I didn't hear from Lisa until 3 weeks after the wedding.
1) The DVD was all wrong. The DVD of the wedding footage, wasn't that all, but was in fact the wedding picture slide show. 2) She missed many traditional and elementary shots after the ceremony. Entire wedding party, Groom and family, and others .3) We only received 2 pictures of guests from the reception from Lisa.
I addressed these issues with Lisa:
1) She responded to the DVD with a very condescending answer on how to properly play a DVD and that she checked the DVD. She added that "pricing and contents are subject to change without notice". Didn't matter in this case, because I had already paid in full and signed the contract three months prior! After 3 phone calls and 2 weeks later, I did finally receive a DVD with the actual wedding footage on it. To her credit, the DVD was 15 minutes longer than agreed upon in contract.
2) When asked about the pictures of the reception she said: " As far as pictures from the "Guests" were concerned, many did not wish to have their picture taken. Due to legal reasons, if a person wishes to opt out of getting their picture taken from a professional photography company, we have to honor that, otherwise, its a liability for us." That was a lie. This was NEVER brought to the attention of the bride or the groom. Her "legal liability" claim is only CYA. Legal rights of a person are infringed upon is when their likeness is used in a commercial setting without consent. These pictures were purchased for personal use; there is no claim. However, we ended up getting all of the pictures from her assistant; Lisa never had them and never even asked for them.
I cannot say that our experience was what we expected. There were some very good shots, but too many negative remarks to overlook. It just seems that she was more concerned with getting the "perfect" shots for her portfolio than to capture our special day.
