Planning, Coordination, and Florals
My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Sharon and her granddaughter Keegan at Your Fairy Godmother Weddings. Sharon was organized, kind, and an absolute lifesaver more times than I can count throughout the planning process. She kept everything running smoothly on the wedding day, even when the schedule needed to be changed. She answered every one of my stupid questions with “No such thing!” And handled every detail of our perfect day with calm professionalism. She even did our florals, silk, which I had never even considered until meeting her and they were absolutely stunning. Everything was what we envisioned and more. It meant so much to us to have someone so dependable guiding us through everything. We’re so grateful to Sharon and Keegan for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed of! -

Excellent and affordable
Sharon was very helpful with planning, flowers and suggesting venues. She had plenty of decor to make our photos gorgeous, and she is so talented at making gorgeous reasonably priced flower arrangements. Her assistants were so sweet and accommodating and made sure my day went as smoothly as possible. She kept us on track, set up seating arrangements and table cards, handled coordinating our vendors and order of events. Cannot recommend enough, my day would not have been as stress-free without the Fairy godmother team! -

My fair godmother! Hire her!
We had the BEST experience with Sharon and her team. We had a pretty elaborate setup for our tables and they outdid themselves. Our candles ended up melting in the car (as the bride they did not tell me, they just fixed it!! So I found this out after) and then rolled them back into shape and I never even knew! They worked their butt’s off and I am forever grateful. -

Your Fairy Godmother for Life!
Sharon was our perfect Fairy Godmother for our wedding day on November 19, 2022. My husband and I planned our wedding from start to finish without the help of a wedding planner and thought it was going to be “so easy” for us to do the day-of coordination ourselves on our wedding day (I have no idea what we were thinking!). About a month before our wedding, we realized we needed a day-of coordinator to help things run smoothly, and I found Sharon online after reading reviews of many local coordinators that I felt I didn’t connect with. Sharon and I clicked immediately over an introductory phone conversation – She made me feel so much better about my wedding anxieties and promised me she would have things running smoothly for our wedding day … let me say that she DELIVERED. Sharon showed up for our wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She is organized, helpful, very calm, and does all the background work to make everything flow perfectly. What was really important to me was that I wanted someone to help keep the night moving without pointing a finger and saying, “we have 30 seconds before this happens!!!” Sharon gracefully reminded my husband and I when the specific events of the night were about to happen without that feeling of being rushed or scolded. When my husband stepped on the train of my bustle about 4 minutes into the reception (men… am I right?), I thought my night had been ruined, except this was an easy, straightforward fix for Sharon, who calmly took me into a side room and fixed my bustle with not even a breath of worry or anxiety! We cannot thank Sharon enough for being our day-of coordinator. I feel that we now have an extra mom, or I should say, a Fairy Godmother, for life! -

Amazing Wedding Coordinator!
Sharon was a huge support on our wedding day! She made sure everything was taken care so we could just relax and enjoy our day. She met and checked in with us leading up to our wedding, including the sweetest emails to remind us to just take in every moment. She got to our venue early and had everything set up just the way we wanted with her assistant, Sherri. They made sure every detail was just how we envisioned. Thank you so much Sharon and Sherri! -

Truly magical!
Sharon was amazing! A little back story..
I had hired a day of coordinator who ended up booking a client who wanted full planning the same weekend as our wedding so she backed out on ours.
In a panic, I posted asking for recommendations of day of coordinators and Sharon reached out and truly saved the day! She was attentive and communicated non stop to ensure everything went smoothly. Our wedding had 260 guests, photographer, videographer, band, flowers, fireworks and it was held at a private residence-and Sharon worked with each vendor and the home owner professionally and in a timely manner to coordinate a schedule that worked for everyone. There is nothing she can’t handle!
Every single one of our guests commented on how amazing our wedding was and that is because of Sharon and her team!
Can not recommend them enough! -

Amazing and stress-free Wedding Day!
My wedding day could not have been more amazing, and it was all thanks to Sharon! Even though it rained which made things a little more complicated everything went off without a hitch. Everything we had talked about and everything I wanted came true and so much more with little surprises that she planned and had around the venue for us to see during the day. She did all of our flowers and décor for the wedding and it was a real piece of mind getting pictures and updates leading up to the wedding so I knew exactly what I was getting and she would take my ideas in to account and lend valve advise from her many years of experience. I don’t think you realize until the a few days before, exactly how many little things have to come together on a day that you really have no control or time to get things together or fix things. Having Sharon and your fairly godmother plan and coordinate our event made sure we got to enjoy our day and knowing everything was taken care of.-

Stress free day
My wife and I had a fabulous wedding on 2/22/22 thanks to Our Fairy God Mother, Sharon Golden Wheeler.
She made our Wedding Dreams come true. I want to write this review to thank her for everything she did for us on our special day, Sharon was so easy to work with. She always had an open mind to our ideas and how we wanted the day to play out for us. She worked hard with us to get the decorations that we wanted and had many great ideas. She was always on time and always easy to contact which in turn helped us feel more at ease on our day! Thank you Fairy God Mother! -

Highly recommend
Sharon was very flexible considering I canceled my large wedding she was officiating in October and then needed her last minute for a small elopement. The service was perfect and she included the personal vows I wanted. I highly recommend 'Your fairy Godmother' for your wedding needs. -

A Beautiful Wedding With Preventative Coordination Issues
We’re writing this review about “Your Fairy Godmother Wedding and Events” nearly three months after our wedding because, honestly, we had a hard time putting it together. We ended up really liking the owner and operator as a person, and that made it difficult to write this. She was kind and easy to talk to during the planning process, and I appreciated that she communicated with us even before she technically needed to. In fact, she came up with some ideas. One idea we used was for us to have a picture frame signed as a guestbook. We loved that idea and bought what was needed to make the idea come alive.
The Ceremony:
There were significant challenges on the wedding day. People arrived early at our request. Because the venue was far, our guests made sure to get there at least 30 minutes ahead of time. Since it was an outdoor ceremony, guests should have been guided outside, but without signs or direction, many wandered into the reception area instead. This was something we expected to be managed so the flow felt smooth for everyone.
A particularly important issue for us was that there were no reserved signs for our family seating although this was discussed before the event. This meant that some of our closest family members didn’t have the front-row seats we intended for them, and other guests ended up sitting in those seats. That was a significant oversight that really impacted our ceremony. Additionally, the order of the wedding party was arranged incorrectly, which was a major issue. My husband did not go out right after the officiant as planned, but after the bridesmaids and this mix-up disrupted the intentional flow of the music. As this seems like something my husband could have corrected on the spot, he was unable to because the owner and operator had him in the bathroom so he wouldn’t see me, although I was in a separate room. This was especially disappointing because every song was chosen carefully, and this mistake really threw off the timing.
Our wedding was at a golf course and there was an incident with the golf ball, which caused quite a bit of stress although no one was harmed. The owner and operator appeared frazzled after that, and it impacted the overall coordination. She mentioned that family members were hard to work with. They weren’t difficult but they were trying to ensure our day went as planned. They noticed things were not set up as we envisioned and wanted to ensure our vision came to fruition. This should have been a priority for the company.
One of the biggest disappointments for us was that the ceremony started more than half an hour late, even though we were at the venue by 3:40 pm for a 4:00 pm start time and our guests were already there and waiting. There was no reasonable excuse for the 30 minute delay although the golf ball became the excuse for the long delay.
The Reception:
The reception felt like our time wasn’t being managed well. We had just introduced our key people, danced, and were enjoying the moment when we were suddenly told we had to eat right now. No heads-up, no transition, just an abrupt shift. She had a timeline to follow, so giving us even a little warning would’ve made things feel much less rushed and stressful. In addition to that, she did not give directions to the tables to get their meals.
She had also mentioned beforehand that one of her biggest pet peeves was guests interrupting the couple while they were eating, and she assured us she would prevent that from happening. Unfortunately, when it came time for us to eat, we still had guests coming up to us, and she wasn’t there to step in and give us that time.
The wonderful idea of having our guests sign the picture frame never came to life. The Sharpie wasn’t placed nearby, and there were no instructions, so guests didn’t know to sign it. It went completely unused.
One of the highlights we were excited about was dancing with the fans. We bought enough for everyone to “clack” while we danced, and we wanted them displayed in wicker baskets because it would’ve looked beautiful and matched the vibe. She told me she had baskets, so we didn’t need to buy any. Instead, the fans sat in a plain Amazon box on the dance floor until guests used them for dancing. That wasn’t my vision and it wasn’t hers either.
Since the timeline wasn’t followed, we completely missed the toast that three people were prepared to give. It was a moment we were really looking forward to, and something that should have been captured on our wedding video but now it’s something we can never get back.
A lot happened that we didn’t learn about until after the wedding. We later found out that she hadn’t spoken to any of my vendors except the venue. That was the entire reason we hired a day-of coordinator; to coordinate our day. We planned the whole wedding ourselves; we simply needed someone to manage it, and unfortunately she fell short in that area. While we are not asking for a refund, we do believe that a certain level of professionalism comes with this type of service, and I hope this feedback helps her grow and provide the level of support couples are paying for.
On the positive side, over an hour before the ceremony was supposed to start, we noticed our wedding vow books were missing. The owner and operator was kind enough to help look for them at the venue, which did take some time. We never found them but that wasn’t her fault. We were able to improvise. Even with all of that, the search shouldn’t have interfered with the start time of the wedding, especially considering the ceremony was at 4pm and she mentioned she had been at the venue since around 11am or earlier.
I also want to note that everything mentioned in this review is something I addressed with her directly. Unfortunately, she didn’t take accountability for any of these issues, except acknowledging that the wedding party was sent out in the wrong order. I recognize that managing a wedding of about 125 people can be a lot for one person, but she knew our guest count well in advance, and we were told she would have an assistant rather than working the event alone. That choice ultimately took away from our day and contributed to many of the challenges we experienced.
In conclusion, despite these challenges, our wedding was still beautiful and full of the exact energy we hoped for. The R&B notes, the love-soaked atmosphere, and the soulfulness we built into every moment carried the day. We were surrounded by joy, harmony, and the people who mean the most to us and that alone made our wedding memorable in its own unique way.
I’m sharing this feedback not to harm her business, but to help future couples and offer a balanced perspective. As I’ve said, I truly grew to like her. We’re grateful for the joy and love we experienced on our wedding day from our family and friends. We hope this review helps her strengthen her services moving forward.

Did not deliver
This is the review I wish I had seen while I was researching wedding planners. TL;DR Sharon has beautiful decorations and will respond to text ASAP. However she may not deliver to your expectations. Something to notice with the reviews is how many of them are for officiating vs planning.
When I first connected with Sharon she was extremely confident, had so many fabulous ideas and even had all the decor to go with it. She said she would bring all the decor the day of and decorate the whole venue. That was music to my ears. I’m not a decorator by any means so having Sharon’s eye for decor and the decor
To go with it completely put my mind at ease. I turned down so many other offers for decorations because I knew my wedding planner had it all taken care of. Or so I thought. Sharon also said she has this program prismm which she will take care of all the seating for guests. All she did in this app was set it up she never did the seating chart for me and blamed it on the app being terrible to work with. So
I ended up creating the seating chart and sending it to the caterer. Also Sharon is terrible at responding to emails after you sign her contract. Very interesting how that works …
Moving on, Sharon came to the walkthrough and planning meeting at the venue with the catering manager and venue coordinator. It was a great meeting, I was able to let Sharon know all the decorations of hers i wanted to borrow and where she would be setting them up. She wrote it all down in a not so organized looking folder. That should’ve been a red flag but as a bride you’re not looking for more stress. I even offered Sharon to pick up all the decorations and bring them to the venue for her and she said that was not necessary.
Some positive notes, at my very last
Minute request she printed my signage which was nice. It was just in plain black font on white paper but hey it was there the day of. The day of the event I did not go in the venue until moments before walking down the aisle and that was when I quickly noticed most of the decor promised by Sharon didn’t make it. No greenery on the mantle or sweetheart table, no white silk flowers, no lanterns, no centerpieces for the tables. She told me she forgot the centerpieces and her husband was going to bring them. She did bring these beautiful gold chargers which thank goodness she did that otherwise it would’ve looked like I didn’t do a single thing to add my own style to the venue. She also brought a card box, easel for the seating chart and a cake cutting set She, temporarily lost our marriage license and then failed to tell me it was at the venue until I reached out the next day frantically looking for it.
I do think Sharon was a wonderful planner at a point in time it’s just not at this time. She claims her daughter helps her but I didn’t see her once. I even bought a vendor meal for her daughter but she was not at the wedding. If you use Sharon make sure you are on top of her constantly because she does have some beautiful decorations to offer maybe even pick them up from her house the day before and bring them to the venue yourself so you can guarantee your event will be decorated how you envisioned it. -

A little out of sorts
The day of the event some things didn’t start as planned, Sharon had to step away because someone had a medical issue.
The day of they forgot the flower girl basket, the ring Bearer pillow, card box and forgot the seating chart I sent 3 weeks ago; 20 minutes before the ceremony they were trying to get everything together. 5 minutes before the ceremony they were asking what song I was walking out to. All of this caused a tremendous amount of stress before the ceremony. Fairy god mother did apologize at the end and gave a gift which was appreciated. The crew was flexible and was able to bring everything together.
Once the ceremony was complete everything else did run smoothly. The day after she was very helpful returning rental items and missing or forgotten items to my mother. -

Over-Promised and Under-Performed
It is impossible for me to believe that this woman has done over 3,000 weddings. Maybe she is simply past her prime. She missed so many of the beautiful nuances planned for my sister's wedding, and had excuses for each and every one of them. She appeared frazzled, did not come with an assistant, and at one point just before the ceremony started, came rushing down the aisle, very loudly and unceremoniously demanding to know where a golf ball was (it was hit into where the guests were seated). Her actions made no sense, nor did her excuse when asked about it. When the wedding finally began, over half an hour late, the wedding party was sent down the aisle I'm the wrong order and to the wrong songs...so many little (and a few big) things. The wedding was absolutely beautiful in spite of her. The biggest thing for me is that she does not take accountability for much of anything, and is able to blame others quote easily. Before hiring her, remember that there are no do-overs, just reviews. -

Needs a new wand
My daughter’s wedding was in July . The planner was very flustered and not organized . She made many promises and they were not followed through. Walked on the dance floor during special dances . Was not there to greet vendors . Her answer was she has done over 3k weddings AND counting. I am blessed my daughter’s day was beautiful because of all around her. NOT because of this fairy godmother- as she should re- evaluate her business and maybe invest in a new wand. -
