Hair and makeup review

Kristen was phenomenal. A couple family members and I asked her to do hair and make-up before a wedding reception for each of us, and we could not have been happier with our decision. In addition to be super responsive, easy to communicate with, and extremely flexible and understanding, she is exceptionally talented. She was able to create each of our looks exactly as we envisioned them (each one different from the other, highlighting her versatility). We were all in love with how our hair and makeup turned out. One of the best parts about working with Kristen is that she really wants you to be a part of the process and asks you at each step of the way if what she is doing matches your vision...and she does not stop until she gets it perfect. If we are ever back in her town again, we will most certainly be working with her again!! Talented, sweet, and professional. SO happy we found her.

Your Bridal Stylist… Literally my Wedding-Day Superhero!

Kristen from Your Bridal Stylist was hands-down one of my absolute favorite wedding vendors. Out of everyone I reached out to, she was by far the most responsive, especially at a time where I was drowning due to other life logistics throwing off my timelines. She swooped in like a glam Superhero. She made me feel completely heard, was incredibly collaborative, and helped shape a look that worked perfectly for both my hair and the overall vibe of the day.
We did a hair and makeup trial just a few days before the wedding, and I’m so glad we did. We worked out the quirks of the hair pieces I had bought online, and because of that, everything on the wedding day went smoothly and stayed in place all night. Even through the “millennial soundtrack” and full Conga line situation.
Kristen was equally amazing with my bridal party. I had a small group of ladies getting hair and makeup, and she was flexible, calm, and so kind with each of them. She even made my mom, who is tiny, makeup-shy, and usually avoids the glam world entirely, look beautifully natural and so special for the big day. Kristen’s aesthetic of natural, minimalist glam is exactly what she promises: you look like you, just lit from within.
On top of all that, she kept us on schedule despite the photographers, the chaos of the ready room, and general pre-wedding mayhem. She hopped from person to person like a pro, all while radiating infectious enthusiasm. Her packages are very fairly priced, but honestly, she delivers way beyond their value. And the touch-up kits? Adorable and so thoughtful.
If you’re thinking about booking Kristen, don’t hesitate. She goes above and beyond with her communication, her value, and her results. I couldn’t have asked for better.

Lovely Experience Wedding July 17 2021

Kristen and her sister were so sweet and did a great job making 7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 1 grandma, and 1 bride look incredible and feel beautiful! They did our hair and makeup with so much care and attention to detail. They also were extremely professional and had us finished on time. They offered touchups to all of us after and even gave us supplies to fix anything (lip gloss, make up fixing qtips, pins, etc.) later just in case. They were a lot of fun and a very relaxing presence as we started the long wedding day. Both Kristen and her sister made us feel like family. I would absolutely recommend Your Bridal Stylist for your hair and makeup for your wedding. My mom and I also had fun during the trial. Kristen is not only flexible but creative and talented. She will be able to execute the look you want while also being helpful about what looks best.

Kristen was amazing. Very personable. Did a great job with both hair and makeup and will also teach you about proper makeup techniques / coloring for your face shape, etc as she’s applying it. Very helpful if you don’t do your makeup often to learn.

Wedding hair and makeup

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kristen. I went to her place for a trial run for my wedding and absolutely loved how my hair and makeup turned out. She is super friendly and attentive to what we wanted. I got my hair and makeup done along with my mother and daughter as well. They both loved how everything turned out. I got tons of compliments on how I looked at my wedding. I loved that she gave each of us a bag of goodies to use to do any touch ups if needed. She worked around the time we needed and was such a joy to have around. If I ever need glam again I will definitely hire Kristen again.

Kristen was amazing! My hair and makeup was gorgeous as was my bridesmaids! I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding she did hair and makeup for years ago and I knew then that I had to book her when I got married. I'm so glad she was available! I wasn't able to do the trial run because I live out of state, but I showed her my ideas and she was able to create exactly what I wanted. She was courteous, professional, responded quickly to all of my emails, and she arrived early on my wedding day ready to go. She is worth every penny!

Kristen is amazing!

Kristen was beyond amazing for my wedding! She was so patient as we continually rescheduled. We had 7 bridesmaids, 1 bride, three mothers/aunts for hair and makeup! Prices and schedule was clear and confirmed before the day so everyone was prepared, we were perfectly on schedule and everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup! Kristen was so much fun and is clearly an expert in her field! We were so lucky to have her for our day!

Kristen was INCREDIBLE. She was able to provide a gorgeous hair and make up look for my mother in law (who doesnt speak english), and then turned me into an f'ing QUEEN. The entire time, Kristen made sure I was happy and comfortable with what she was doing. Kristen was happy to take direction or just do her own thing. She made my hair and make up look EXACTLY how I wanted. She was also a blast to have in the room with my friends as we were getting ready. I chose KLP Designs for my wedding day make-up. Kristen is fabulous to work with. She is fun and very talented. Kristen made me look flawless and beautiful. Kristen is the best! She did my hair for my friends wedding and I immediately booked her for my own wedding once I saw her work. I have curly hair and she used my natural curls creating a beautiful vintage bridal up-do for me. We chatted a few times before the wedding and she made me feel so comfortable about the day. She styled all of my bridesmaids and her sister did their make-up so beautifully. They both made everyone look gorgeous and created the perfect look that each bridesmaid was going for. From booking the session to the final spritz and spray, Kristen provided an amazing experience.

Working with Kristen was amazing. I needed hair and make up for a fun 50th birthday shoot and Kristen created magic, so it was no surprise I called her again for the Grand Opening of my business. Julia's 8/7/22 review was distorted and fabricated

I was a part of this wedding. Julia's sad attempt to disqualify Kristen as high end professional artist was just, a shame.
The client posted purposely poor edited pics. but what she did not realize was all of her and her bridal party posted PUBLIC pics.
They looked wonderful.
Ladies- if you wanted to save money you could have done everyone a favor and got ready at a local Levittown salon, for half the price. The artist had met there early, the home was covered in filth and cats all over the working area.
There was very dark working space with almost zero room to work.
After all ladies were finished and touched up the artist met the bridal party at the falls banquet hall and gave the bride one on one attention, and the entire hair and makeup was done so, just right.
In the photos attached, pls note the LEFT hand sided pictures are the fabricated photos cherry picked from the client to broadcast. The RIGHT was posted publicly on facebook accounts.

cape may wedding- just the best.

Our zoom consult was perfect as I am a CEO in NYC. Our wedding too place in Cape May at a winery,! We found Kris from Your Bridal Stylist and the fit was perfect. She was confident, highly skilled at extremely genuine and compassionate to our needs. My in-laws and mother and stepmother were a lot to handle and Kris handled it like a pro! There was not one unhappy camper, they all asked Kristen to stay at our wedding. We already booked her for my sister's wedding!! Ty YBS for such a positive experience.

Easiest part of the day!

I HIGHLY recommend KLP Hair Designs for your wedding or special event. Kristen is amazing! She is such a sweetheart, very professional, and most of all, extremely personable! She seriously is such a nice girl! The best part about her is SHE COMES TO YOU! No stress, no hassle of going to a salon on the day of your wedding. She came to my home prior to my wedding and did a trial with me. She did not force any type of look on me, and was most concerned with what I liked and didn't like. She does AMAZING hair and makeup, and she is very fairly priced. When I changed my updo style, she willingly did another trial with me and played around with it until I was happy and it was perfect. For my wedding, she traveled 2 and 1/2 hours to do my hair and makeup! She arrived EARLY and I had no doubt about her showing up. She kept in constant contact with me and continously touched base with me to verify the location and time. She and her sister did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup, and also my 2 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and 3 flowergirls. It was soo nice to just hang out at my house and relax before the ceremony! I strongly recommend Kristen for any hair or makeup needs!

Stunning bridesmaid makeup!

Kristen did our hair and makeup for my best friends wedding last weekend and everyone looked so beautiful! Other times I have been in weddings I gave a general idea of what I wanted and was churned in and out of the chair. Kristen really made each service feel very custom, even creating a lip combo for each of us and sending us on our way with product in a touch up kit. She was extremely receptive to things we liked and didnt like and made sure we were all happy before walking down the aisle. Would highly recommend her!!

I absolutely loved working with Kristen for my wedding on October 29, 2016. She made everything so easy and fun and everyone loved my hair and makeup as well as my 4 bridesmaids, 2 maids of honor and my mom's gorgeous beauty styles! I had a really awful experience with an on-location artist before meeting Kristen and she totally put me at ease. She was always available when I was super indecisive about how I wanted my hair to look and was so flexible with scheduling trials and helping to plan for my wedding day. We got ready at my parent's home and she was there bright and early and kept everyone on schedule, she even had time to add in an extra service for my sister! I am a makeup hobbyist, and after searching through the many different makeup artists on this website I was underwhelmed. I chose KLP Hair & Makeup designs because they were really the only business in my area whose makeup portfolio impressed me. I am so glad that I chose KLP, because the whole experience was a pleasure. Not only did I feel the most beautiful on my wedding day, but Alexa did the same for all my bridesmaids and my mother in law.

The business owner, Kristen and her sister Alexa both have very impressive makeup education credentials and Alexa's kit was very well rounded and complete. Kristen was in constant contact with me throughout our planning process, and Alexa was so accepting of any changes I wanted to make to the look. KLP's website is professional and they give you pricing up front...which is almost unheard of. I found the prices to be very reasonable in comparison with other artists in the area, and the girls will travel to your venue for a minimum amount of services.

Although we didn't have hair done with KLP, I'm sure their hair skills also speak for themselves. I'm extremely pleased with the services I got from KLP!

Beautiful hair and make up

Kristen was so easy to work with. I was honestly skeptical a little bit at first just because her pricing was by far better than some of the other places I was looking at. From the moment I talked to her over the phone I knew I would use her. She was very straight forward with what you get and answered all my questions directly. She was also so nice and chill which made it nice when she was there doing everyone’s hair and makeup. She was on time and had everyone done by the time I requested. She did a lot of different styles between myself and the other girls and each one of them looked gorgeous and commented on how much they loved their look. I also loved my hair and makeup, it lasted me from 6am through the night, I don’t think I even needed to touch up at all! Highly recommend!

Kristen was amazing for my wedding! The best part was I had been scrambling last minute to find a new stylist and she immediately reached out to see what my needs and expectations were. Very fun person and puts you at ease and best of all knows what she is doing and does it phenomenally! Highly recommend for any hair and makeup needs. I found Kristen through a list of recommended vendors for my wedding venue and from the moment I met her I knew she would be a fantastic choice for the wedding. She looked at pictures of my dress and listened to what I wanted and came up with hair and make-up that really brought out my best features and complemented my dress and accessories. My trial went fabulously and the wedding day was even better!

Kristen and Alexa did the hair and makeup for me, my mom, grandmother, aunt and two other bridesmaids for my wedding. Everyone's hair and makeup looked fantastic and lasted the entire evening! We got so many compliments!

I also really appreciated the fact that Kristen and Alexa were totally tuned in to my stress level and when I was having the finishing touches done for my makeup and was getting nervous and stressed they helped get some music on, quiet the room a bit and were very reassuring, it really those last minutes so much less stressful.

Kristen is AMAZING!!!! I cannot say enough about her. She is incredibly talented and fun to work with. She created the most beautiful looks for my seven bridesmaids, mom and myself. She is prompt in her replies and genuinely cares about doing what's right for her clients, dropping what she was doing at the last minute to buy more extensions when I showed her a pic of the hairstyle I wanted. To say she knows what she's doing is a complete understatement. I had some very hard to please ladies in my group, myself included, and at the end of the morning everyone was happy. I'm extremely critical of myself and was definitely nervous that I wouldn't be entirely satisfied on this most important day. When Kristen was finished with me, I couldn't believe my eyes. She made the image in my mind a reality. She gave me a gift that no one else could- she made me feel gorgeous on my wedding day and I'm so grateful to her. Kristen was awesome to work with! They were ready to go bright & early at the shore - and made my girls gorgeous fast.....we were way ahead of schedule! Not easy to do with 13 people getting hair & makeup done.
Everyone was able to have hair & makeup touch-ups and fix anything they wanted. They all looked amazing!
Kristen did my hair and makeup EXACTLY how I wanted it. I t was perfect for my big day on the beach. I had my makeup airbrushed and it lasted all day, even with a little rain. I cannot say enough great things about working Kristen, she was professional, fast & fun!

So kind, relaxed and talented!

Kristen was so easy to work with from day 1 of contacting her. It was easy to set up a trial appointment at her studio and she was so welcoming and friendly to my mom and I. She understood I am more of a natural girl and gave me a makeup/hair look that made me feel like myself but beautiful! She was so fun to be with on the day of my wedding. I was so nervous but she not only did a beautiful job on my hair and makeup (as well as my mom/sister/friends), she helped me get over my nerves. I also hadn't slept 1 minute the night before and she still managed to make me look and feel pretty! She worked incredibly fast and thoroughly and did hair and makeup for me and 4 other women and my flower girl in less than 5 hours! She was incredibly sweet with my flower girl and made her feel so comfortable and look and feel so beautiful. I wish I could get married again to work with Kristen again, thank you x 1,000!

Stunning & Fun bridesmaid hair & makeup!

Kristen did my hair and makeup for my cousins wedding and we had so much FUN!! She took my idea for my hair and made it 1000 times better. I also have long, thick, naturally curly hair and she knew exactly how to style and work with my hair type to make it look flawless. By the time we got to makeup, I felt so comfortable and confident I just let her work her magic. An Artist & A Delight!

Kristen is a true artist and a delight to work with! She went above and beyond to find the perfect look for each lady in my party, so that we each looked and felt our absolute best. (And that especially included her patience and kindness in working to get each hair and blush-stroke perfectly placed for this nervous bride to be. :-) )

She also did a great job at reading the room and knowing when I needed a moment of quiet in the midst of a busy and emotional day. On a day that is full of so much emotion, it meant the world to be treated with so much kindness and to be made to feel so lovely and cared for. Thank you, Kristen!!

Wedding hair

Kristen did nine ladies for my daughter in laws wedding. She was amazing. She listened to each of our ideas and gave suggestions. She did a fabulous job on all of the ladies. i would HIGHLY recommend KLP Hair Designs (Kristen) for hair and makeup, for ANY occasion! We did a trial for hair and makeup for my December wedding and it was just so easy-going and comfortable, she is very personable, outgoing, down to earth and knows the hottest looks for both hair and makeup. I loved her work so much, I even had her to my hair and makeup for my bachlorette party, which we ended up using my hair style from bachlorette party for my wedding -just a little more fancy and appropriate for the wedding. I couldnt have been happier. I was her main focus from begin to end and she wasnt satisfied until I was more than happy with the finishing results. I have no doubt it my mind that she would give you the best results you could wish for on your wedding day! What more could you ask for? Great service, prices, and she travels to you! Excellent and Quick Wedding Hair experience

I suggest that you book Kristen IMMEDIATELY. From the moment I met her at my hair/make-up trial, I felt instantly comfortable with her. I am personally not a big make-up guru and she nailed the look I wanted perfectly. My hair looked AMAZING as well. She gave me tons of feedback/opinions regarding the look I was going for and I had complete faith that she would not disappoint on my big day. Fast forwarding to the morning of my wedding, Kristin was one of the greatest assets to that day. Aside from my entire bridal party LOVING their hair and make-up, she added so much to the overall atmosphere of that morning. She arrived before her scheduled time and was ready to go! She has such a down to earth personality and kept everything/everyone on schedule. She works quickly, yet proficiently; it is unlike anything I have ever seen before. There was an unforeseen “circumstance” (for lack of better words) regarding the hair of one of the young girls in the bridal party and Kristen handled the entire situation with such professionalism. She kept me calm as I was on the verge of a “bridal meltdown” and totally kept me laughing the entire morning. She worked wonderfully with the 2 year old flower girl and was even able to please my 90 year old grandmother in the looks department. Kristen was fantastic! From the trial to the BIG Day, she exceeded my expectations. I was not a fussy or picky bride and Kristen provided me with the guidance and focus that I needed to make sure I was more than happy with the end result - great hair and makeup that looked awesome the day of the wedding and (most importantly) in every picture! :)

Her professionalism and experience gave me the confidence that she would make me look great the day of the wedding. And she also contributed a great deal to the upbeat and relaxed atmosphere I was hoping to achieve on a day that turned out to be more nerve-wracking than I was expecting. It was really nice that Kristen could have fun with us and act like she was just another girlfriend helping me get ready, but then provide a phenominal service with spectacular results.

She was more than flexible with her time and talent. The trial was able to be scheduled at a time that fit into my often hectic schedule and she also made time to cut and highlight my hair before the wedding to make sure my do looked that much better for the wedding. And then she was more than happy to come to my parents' house to do all the hair and makeup of each bridesmade and myself the day of the wedding!!

I really can't say enough about how happy I was and am with KLP!!

Kristen did an amazing job for my 5-31-14 wedding and I am extremely happy with the way my hair and makeup turned out. She was very easy to get in touch with and schedule a trial at her house. (make sure you book early because her schedule fills up quickly!) I booked her a year in advance.
She arrived at my parents' house early on the morning of the wedding and was very professional. She made us all feel relaxed and repeatedly let us know that she would make any changes if we didn't feel comfortable with how the hair or makeup turned out. All 6 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and myself were very happy and satisfied! She did final touches before we left for the church and gave me a kit with extra bobby pins and lip gloss for the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend Kristen for your wedding day!

Truly Talented Makeup & Hair Stylist for my Dream Wedding

Having Kristen to do my makeup and hair on my wedding day was absolutely perfect.

My makeup was very natural and flawless and my hair exceeded my expectations on how she managed to style my hair with extensions to hold through the whole event. She helped me get into my dress and made me feel confident and calm before the wedding.

I absolutely knew I wanted Kristen to do hair and makeup for my wedding after the very first trial. She gave me excellent suggestions to help me look my best on my wedding day. I went back to her after my first trial to have highlights done and went back after that to have them enhanced and ready for the wedding. I loved her work, she made my bridesmaids, mom and I look stunning on the wedding day. Kristen is so down to earth and she is fabulous to work with. I thought I was hanging with a friend more than an actual consultant even though she was very professional. My mom, who is extremely hard to please, loved how she looked and Kristen wasn't hesitant to listen to her and make sure she felt and looked her best. Chaotic bride approves! Kristen is dependable, skilled, and adaptive!

As an extra chaotic/stressed bride, who did many things out of order, Kristen is the type of professional that will meet you where you are with being considerate to what experience you're having as a bride to be. This was so important because I didn't start the process of finding a stylist early enough but felt reassured and confident enough after my initial conversation with Kristen because of the extra care and supportive approach Kristen took - this sets her apart from other skilled stylists which is what I wanted to highlight in this review!

Kristen did a fantastic job with my bridal hair and makeup, making me feel beautiful and confident on an important day! She did an excellent job styling my party as well. Kristen is a professional who cares about your experience and makes you feel comfortable and supported to share your thoughts. Kristen and Alexa are two very talented ladies. I knew from when I had my trial done I was in good hands. I brought my mother and one of my bridesmaids with me. Kristen used photos I brought with me to create my hair and make up. My mom was very fussy about everything but Kristen put her at ease and let her know that everything would turn out beautifully and it did. She even helped my mom who has very thin hair figure out a good way style it.
Kristen and Alexa did both hair and make up for 9 people in a few short hours. They were professional and friendly. I would absolutely recommend KLP, they did a phenomenal job!

Kristen was amazing. She and her assistant did 10 girls' hair and makeup for my wedding (including mine). She was so fast, time was never an issue. She showed up on time and got everyone done early! Everyone absolutely loved their looks. One of my bridesmaids used a picture of herself from my wedding as an example for another hair stylist at a different wedding because she thought Kristen had done it perfectly.

She also did my mom and mother-in-law's hair and makeup. They were so pleased that she had kept it natural and age-appropriate for them.

I chose the airbrush makeup. It looked so flawless!

I could not have been happier with Kristen. She was professional and sweet and fun to hang out with all morning. It was so great that she came to our hotel so we could lounge about and have girl time while getting ready. I absolutely recommend her for your wedding or any other special event (or even just a haircut!)

From my trial to my big day, Kristen made sure that I was not only okay with my look but the absolute vision of what I imagined of myself for my big day. Despite finding a new do for my big day than I had selected for my trial, Kristen ensured that we got exactly where I wanted and that I was thrilled with my look and I truly was. Kristen is really amazing. As the owner and main operator of her business, she handles everything herself from the first initial text, first phone call and email. She is highly responsive. Never felt more beautiful!

When I was thinking about my wedding day look it was hard to imagine exactly what I wanted and what would look timeless in photos. I’m so glad I found Kristen because not only did she know exactly what I needed, but she also delivered at the highest level. As someone who is naturally anxious and especially so on one of the most important days of my life, Kristen made the entire getting ready process so fun and lighthearted. We kept joking how she was going to become an honorary bridesmaid. Kristen was also super quick. It took her less than an hour per person to do hair AND makeup. Kristen and her sister did a wonderful job with both hair and makeup services for myself, my bridesmaids and my mother. They were incredibly friendly and were a joy to spend with on the morning of my wedding!!! They traveled to my wedding venue and were able to do all of our hair and makeup in one of the bridesmaid’s hotel room. I LOVED not only my own hair and make-up, but the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and mother!!! They both listened to what each of us asked for in terms of hair and makeup style and preferences!! Each of my bridesmaids looked stunning and still maintained some of their own unique style.

Kristen even left me an emergency kit of bobby pins, hairspray and lip gloss, none of which I needed, because my up-do was flawless, but it was a kind gesture and was comforting to know that if I needed anything I had it!!!!

I highly recommend Kristen!!!! She did an amazing job and I could be any happier with my decision to use her for my hair and makeup on my wedding day!!!!

KLP was amazing to work with. I initially was going to utilize a different vendor, but had a bad trial myself and during my moms trial, she had an allergic reaction and her face swelled. Even though I was only a month out from my Wedding, I switched vendors to KLP. They accommodated my last minute request for 1 bride, 2 moms and 9 bridesmaids. My trial went very well and we were more than thrilled with how the pictures came out at our wedding. Even my mom had a wonderful experience and looked amazing! I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them. Lexa and Jaclyn were just wonderful to work with! I initially spoke with Kristin who helped set everything up and I really appreciate her helping me out. She understood my stressful situation as a bride a month before her wedding not knowing if she had a company to do her makeup. I appreciate that more than words can express!

They came to my house the morning of the wedding to do hair & makeup for myself, 10-bridesmaids, my mom and a flower girl! Everyone was finished right on time for the arrival of the photographer and I could not get over how AMAZING both the hair and makeup looked for each girl! It was such a pleasure working with Kristen! The whole process of getting in touch, doing a trial run, and the morning of the wedding was super easy and so great!

The trial run was done at her home and she was super welcoming and made me feel totally comfortable. I didn't have an exact hair style in mind but had a few pictures that I hoped would be helpful, and immediately she knew what she wanted to try out (at my request). She talked me through all her decisions, asking me what I liked and didn't like, if it was too tight or too loose, etc. and I loved the end result. On the morning of the wedding she knew exactly how to start out, and we continued to talk while she worked and the final product was a little different than we originally planned but that was perfectly fine because we were talking about it and checking the entire time. I loved my updo!

Because I had 8 ladies getting hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding I decided to book Kristen just for hair and went with another person for makeup. But I didn't need to worry about running over time - Kristen came right on time to the hotel, ready with her equipment and got right to work. My bridesmaids all commented on how talented, efficient, and professional she was (especially working with all of our different types of hair and requests-- completely alone!)

Side note - the hairspray she uses smells SO GOOD. One of my bridesmaids went out and bought one for herself after the wedding (unfortunately I don't remember the name).

If you're looking for someone who can do everything, make you look and feel amazing, and do all that while being very up-front about cost-- Kristen is your stylist!

Kristen is amazing. She's very nice and friendly but knows what she's doing! She knows what works well and looks good on people and knows how to professionally advice people. My hair is really thin and she advised I get hair extensions. I was scared because I never had before but it was AMAZING. I'm very glad I trusted her. My hair looked perfect.
She did the hair/makeup for my brother's wedding in 2010 also and I was a bridesmaid. So I've hired her two times and both time was the same awesome result. Very great lady, great work, great prices, etc. I can't recommend her enough!

Kristen and her sister came to our location to do hair and make-up for myself, my 7 bridesmaids, my mother and my mother-in-law. Not only were they both an absolute BLAST to work with they are incredibly talented. Everyone looked FLAWLESS! I did do a trial with Kristen but was having second thoughts and changed my hairstyle as I was watching them do my bridesmaids. Kristen was so flexible and knew exactly what would look good on me. I was beyond ecstatic when I got to see my finished look! I would highly recommend her to anyone...my sister (who was my maid of honor) loved them so much she booked them for her wedding in May! If you are looking for amazing hair and make-up for your big day and genuinely fun people to start your wedding day prep these are your girls!

Bridesmaid (MOH) hair and makeup

Thank you Kristen and Candace for making me look fabulous and special on my sister's wedding day! I always get nervous when I need to get makeup done due to my asian features, but Kristen did an excellent job in fulfilling my vision without making me look too dramatic or overwhelming. She was super patient with me when I asked for suggestions and requested for any tweaks and changes. Candace did a wonderful job with my hair as well. I literally just showed my two inspo pictures not knowing which to go for with the dress I had to wear. I needed help with picking a style and Candace helped with recommending with which style to go with for the dress. I am so glad I went with the updo. Thank you again both for the amazing look and having me feeling great!

Kristen and Alexa were a FANTASTIC part of my wedding day...they are punctual, professional and a pleasure to work with! My hair and makeup lasted from 9am 'til the very last moment of our after party (around 1am!). Not even the wind on the Jersey Shore could move my updo, yet I didn't look like I had a hairspray-helmet :-) Kristen was able to create the exact look I was going for, even though I had changed my mind after my trial run. I am still getting compliments on my hair / makeup from co-workers. They accommodated the early schedule (730am!) and rather large party (9 ladies and 2 flower girls). Kristen even gave me travel-size essentials for my day-of emergency kit. I absolutely recommend this team, and would go to Kristen again for formal events in the future!

The best! Kristen was in touch with me every step of the way and was able to answer any question I had. I had a relatively large bridal party (7 girls plus my mom and me) and my ceremony started at 1pm so I was very concerned it wouldn't work out. Amy and Elizabeth arrived at my parents house at 7am and everyone was done by 12. I was amazing. Everyone looked absolutely stunning and the hair and makeup lasted all night. Only touch-ups needed were our lips. Such a great experience!

I could not have been any luckier to find Kristen! I was not exactly sure of what I wanted for the big day but we talked about what I didn't want and she was able to use her judgment and I could not have dreamt of anything better! I felt absolutely beautiful and it was all because of her, and the dress of course :). She was so much fun to work with and paid so much attention to every little detail. She is wonderful at her job and you can see how much she loves it.

Kristen at KLP was a last minute life saver! Three weeks away from the big day I sent her an email to see if she could provide hair & makeup for our 10/21 Sunday wedding. I had just found out my other option fell through and was frantic about finding someone to provide these services. Within ONE minute I received a response and she was able to help me out, no problem.

I couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out, Kristen and Alexa did an amazing job (we had 5 girls who needed hair and 4 for makeup) and it was done stress free! They completed everything very quickly but it never felt rushed. I still can't get over how beautiful my mom looked, it was perfect and I swear her hair was still in place the next morning. I don't normally wear a lot of makeup nor do much with my hair and the way Kristen made me up was not over the top. I felt like myself...just very glamorous and beautiful (like every bride should feel)! Everyone LOVED my hair and couldn't get over how I looked overall.

I also should mention that KLP comes to you so you don't have to worry about going to a salon which made the day that much easier and more relaxing. I would highly recommend KLP, they are amazing!

Kristen and Alexa are amazing! We have been fortunate to secure them early enough for most family weddings over the years! I was so honored to have them do my own wedding this past New Years Eve and was so impressed with all of the thoughtful planning they put in to the scheduling of 15 girls in a window of 4 hours and even more so how amazing everyone looked. Kristen personally styled me and took extra time with me during my trial and on the day of to make sure everything was perfect. I can be a tough critic and hard to please when it comes to my hair and makeup and Kristen was open to any tweaks and very patient with me. Best of all, she brought creative ideas to me and spent time thinking through different styles and makeup looks that I might like. Lastly, they’re a blast to be around and make an effort to make the morning of your wedding special. I can’t thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation!

I can't say enough great things about Kristen! She did my hair and makeup for my brother's wedding back in September and I asked her about providing the same services for my wedding in March. She was available and I had her deposit in the mail as soon as I got home.

Kristen is extremely approachable and easy-going, and was very flexible when I decided I wanted to do a hair and make-up trial only weeks before the wedding. The day of, Kristen arrived on time and was a great getting everyone ready with time to spare. She did my mother and bridesmaids hair and makeup, and everyone looked fantastic. For myself, she did hair with clip-in extensions & airbrushed makeup. I still can't get over how beautiful I looked when she was finished, and I joke to those who came to the wedding that I will probably never look that amazing again unless I hire Kristen for something else! She knows her stuff, she's on point with what's in style, and no one will be unhappy because they ended up with "prom hair" for your wedding. If you are at least 30, you know what I'm talking about. Do not hesitate to book Kristen for your wedding!

We highly recommend Kristen!

My wife and I got our hair and makeup done by Kristen on 3 occasions: for our engagement photoshoot, then a bridal trial, and then the day of the wedding of course! Each and every time we loved the way our makeup and hair looked, it really captured who we were as individuals (my wife likes a soft glam look and I like more toned down/natural looking makeup). As a queer couple, Kristen made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. She is so professional while also still being down to earth and fun to work with. We kept saying on our wedding day how lucky we were to have her there to start the day on a great note while getting ready. The heat index was at 100 and we decided to change my hair because of the humidity. I originally was going to have my hair down but I found a new style that I wanted last minute. It was the best decision ever!!! My wife and I felt gorgeous on our big day, and our hair and makeup lasted well through the heat and dancing. We can’t recommend Kristen enough, it’s so rare that you find someone like this in the wedding industry! Kristen will collaborate with you throughout the whole process and from the moment you begin speaking with her you’ll tell comfortable. :)

Kristen did a beautiful job!

Kristen is worth every penny! She did a beautiful job for my wedding day and was especially skilled at working with elderly clients, my grandma has never looked better and she felt beautiful! Kristen talks you through the process, uses high end products and really understands beauty and what will be captured in photography. My hair and makeup stayed all day and night - in August humidity! I would use her again in a heart beat!

Kristen is seriously amazing!! She was so flexible with appointment times and so easy going. When I asked her for a second trial, she was happy to do it. On my wedding day she showed up early to set up and was such a pleasure to be around. She talked with all of the girls while we were getting ready and seemed more like a friend than just a person there to do our hair. Most importantly she REALLY listened to what we all wanted. If I didn't like something she would immediately fix it it until I was 100% happy with it. She was totally open to suggestions and never seemed to take anything personally. I couldn't have been happier with how my hair turned out or that I picked Kristen as our hairstylist. She has a great outgoing personality and was fabulous to work with! I loved her talent so much that she's now my regular hairdresser!

Kristen did my hair and makeup for my September wedding. From the initial consultation to the day of the wedding, she was amazing to work with! She is extremely talented and so easy to talk to! She understood everything I wanted and made suggestions (not in a pushy way!) that made everything better than I could have imagined. She was also tasked with doing my mom's hair and make up as well as 8 bridesmaids!! She stayed cool under pressure and everyone looked amazing! She was great at managing time and keeping us on schedule so that we were on time for the ceremony.

I can't say enough about how amazing Kristen was to work with. I would highly recommend her services...she will exceed your expectations!

Kristen is THE BEST! An easy choice for amazing wedding hair and makeup

It was great working with Kristen from start to finish. During the trial she easily figured out what I was looking for using a few inspo pictures. By the end of it I was super confident she'd have me looking my best on my wedding day. On the day of she was on time, worked efficiently, was flexible to any changes that we needed. She did hair and makeup for myself, my mother, and three bridesmaids. She used great quality product. She made adjustments until we felt we looked perfect. We were all super happy with her work. We searched high and low for the perfect stylist, but we wanted someone who could do both wonderful hair and makeup! We found a gem.
Kris is a master level hair and makeup artist.
She knocked it out of the park.
Check around, her prices are not the cheapest but definetley not the highest! She offers amazingly cute packages such as : Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe...too cute! My girls and I loved her.

KLP Hair and Makeup Designs was referred to me from a friend who was happy with their services and I'm so glad I booked them too. Not usually one to write reviews, however, because i relied so heavily on them to find my hair and makeup person, i figured i should write one. I found Kristen through wedding wire and booked a trial based on the great reviews. From the second the trial started I knew I made the right decision. Kristen is so talented and super easy going. She was extremely responsive from the first email I sent and very accommodating with my schedule. The day of the wedding Kristen and Lex were set up and ready to go when I arrived at the hotel 10 minutes early and handled my somewhat demanding bridesmaids with ease. I was so worried about time, however, Kristen assured me we would have enough time for myself and 7 others. We finished with way more than enough time and everyone agreed both girls were amazing to work with. My hair and makeup looked amazing and I got compliments all night. I loved My hair so much after the initial trial that I started going to her for my color and cut and drive almost a hour and a half to get it done. You will definitely not regret using her for your wedding!!

I don't know if it's possible to have loved my hair and makeup more than I did on my wedding day. I was nervous, because I honestly don't know the first thing about doing my own hair or makeup. I had a really hard time telling Kristen what I was looking for, and had changed my mind so drastically from my trial that I felt like I was going in to my wedding day blind. I feel like all of my emails from the trial to the wedding were answered super quick, and with the patients of a saint (since I was kind of driving even my self crazy with how many messages I was throwing at her). My hair and makeup were seriously stunning. I had people comment that they wish they had thought to style their hair like mine for their wedding! I had 7 bridesmaids, and each and every one of them looked GORGEOUS. Kristen's sister Alexa shared the burden of our enormous bridal party, and each and every look this team did was beautiful. Kristen and Alexa have such a chill, relaxed vibe that it's hard to not love them. But what I love most, is that they both constantly checked in throughout the process. My mother can be really picky about her hair and makeup, and Kristen handled her anxiety like a champ, offering to redo anything she was unhappy with in order to be sure she was happy with her look. And Kristen has her own makeup line, too! The lip color she used on my wedding day was this gorgeous peachy-nude that I'm straight up addicted to! I honestly feel so lucky that I found KLP!

Backyard wedding

Kristen was amazing. She treated me like a friend and made me super comfortable. I never felt weird saying I wanted something specific. She understood my vision completely and nailed exactly what I asked for. I suffer from rosecha but she managed to make it so my skin looked flawless. Wonderful experience with Kristen

Kristen was amazing from setting up the trial makeup to being very responsive before the big day! I had a party of 10 including me and it was amazing! She was very professional and fun! Everyone's makeup looked amazing and very efficient on time! My wedding makeup was everything I could have dreamed of and more! Kristin is not only a highly skilled practitioner of her art but her engaging personality made the beginning of a very long day both fun and as stress free as you could want. When we met Kristen at my daughter’s trial months before the wedding there was never a doubt to have her provide hair and makeup for the bride and wedding party. Kristen asked questions, listened to what we thought and went to work giving us styles and suggestions that we just loved. The day of the wedding Kristen arrived early and set to work on a wedding party ranging in age from 15 to 60+. Everyone’s hair and makeup was flattering, contemporary, age appropriate and best of all lasted through hours of pre-wedding photos to the last dance. Kristen is the BEST and when we left her to go to the venue we were confident that she made us look our best. When we recently received the video we were amazed at how everyone’s hair and makeup looked fresh at the end of the evening. Thank you, Kristen !

As a 40plus years in the beauty industry as a salon owner, educator and a Director for John Paul Mitchell Systems I can tell you Kristen brings her very best to all she does.
I have spent countless years doing hair for 100s of brides and believe it or not this was my first time getting mine done for a wedding!
Kristen listened and offered up suggestions and provide natural and soft results for all of us. She was fun and energetic and I could not help but think she should be educating others for not only styling tricks of the trade but make up secrets of which I learned several.

Simply Amazing!

Kristen is the BEST. Not only is she just ridiculously talented, she was an amazing presence to have while we were all getting ready. She took the time to listen to the bridesmaids and the moms to make sure everyone who doesn't wear make up often felt confident in their look. As someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup myself, it was great to have someone who could give feedback and advice on my bridal look. Kristen is fabulous! The one day in your life that you should feel absolutely amazing should be your wedding day, and Kristen made that happen. She came to my home the morning of the wedding, and did my hair along with my 3 bridesmaids. It was such a fun process since we could still be in our PJ's working on last minute details for the wedding as Kristen did her thing. Her rates are very reasonable especially considering the personal service that you receive. Kristen has a great service to offer and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
