Wonderful Photographer!

It has been just over a year since our wedding and we continue to be eternally grateful for the photographs that Yesenia captured for us. As time goes by, the pictures become true keepsakes and treasures that we know we will cherish for a lifetime. YM Photography was professional and communicative throughout the entire wedding planning process. In the months leading up to our wedding day, Yesenia provided us with tools to help us stay organized and showed that she truly cared about getting to know us as a couple. Our engagement session was a great opportunity for us to get more comfortable in front of the camera and we appreciated getting to know Yesenia prior to our wedding day! We cannot say enough good things about working with YM Photography on our wedding day at the Barn at Lord Howe Valley. They went above and beyond and told our story through photographs in a timeless way. Thank you, Yesenia!! We would definitely recommend YM Photography!

Amazing Photographer and Photos!

Yesenia was AMAZING in helping us prepare for our wedding day, and her customer service follows her through to the end! She is wonderful, and I would use her again for my photo needs!

I can't say enough about how helpful and professional Yesenia and her staff were on my wedding day. My husband and his groomsmen actually said they had fun! She made everything so easy for me even though I didn't have a wedding planner. She's extremely organized and has all these questionnaires (and even a free wedding planner!) that really helped me plan my wedding. My photos... I'm tearing up just thinking about them. They are so perfect and capture our day to a tee.

Yesenia was amazing! We eloped at The Fern Lodge and didn't meet her until the day of. She explained everything in detail and answered any questions I had quickly. During the elopement she was super sweet and gave great direction in what we should be doing for each photo. The photos were AMAZING! Our families loved the photos. Thank you so much for everything!

Yesenia is AMAZING! She was super professional to work with leading up to my wedding, and when the day came she got us some amazing shots. She was also able to direct everyone incredibly well. Now that I've seen the photos, I am absolutely blown away. I can't wait to get our album and prints!

Our engagement photos are amazing! We could not thank Yesenia enough for waking up so early to make our sunrise photo shoot happen with the best backdrop ever.. hot air balloons! We cannot wait for our wedding and the beautiful pictures to come!

I really loved working with Yesenia! She was wonderful to coordinate with from across the country (I lived in CA while planning my NY wedding). We adore our photos and recommend her to our friends often!

Where can I start? From start to finish Yesenia was just amazing. She just made me feel so comfortable when I was a little behind. I love the beautiful images she took of my husband and I but she exceeded my expectations for my reception photos. It was so very important to me to have my grandparents photographed and us having fun with my guests. Even the candids are gorgeous!

Our wedding was the beautiful day we imagined & Yesenia captured it perfectly! From our first conversation to receipt of our prints, Yesenia was a pleasure to work with. Every time line she gave, she stuck to. The half-day package suited our needs (and our budget) just right! Thank you, Yesenia...we couldn't be happier!

I'm not even sure where to start with Yesenia! She is the nicest, most talented photographer, and she's completely organized. She totally helped me capture my dream wedding day, and made sure I got every picture I wanted. She kept in touch throughout the wedding planning process and had me fill out questionnaires to be sure she knew what I was looking for. She even had a very organized payment schedule, which made it easy to stay on track with payments. Her second shooter, Natalia, was just the best! She photographed the groomsmen, and they adored her. They all said she was so funny & so much fun to have around (and how many guys would say that about a girl constantly taking their picture?). I had the best day ever, and it was so nice having Yesenia there, and knowing I could completely trust her to capture the day the way I wanted. I have not received our wedding pictures yet, but I have no doubts that they will be terrific. We had our engagement pictures taken with her and were blown away with how great they all were, so we have complete confidence that the wedding pictures will be no different. All I can say is that Yesenia is just wonderful! She worked in our budget without a second thought when everyone else we talked to said here's our pricing and that's that. From our engagement session to our wedding day, it was the same level of customer service. We didn't have a planner so she was the next best thing. Our DJ was really impressed with how easy she was to work with so she got five stars all-around. She's now photographing my best friend's wedding in 2017 so not only would I say I'd recommend her -- I already did!

Yesenia photographed my wedding last year and when I heard that someone was not pleased with her services, I was shocked. Then I was angry. She was not only professional but she was just nice. She made us laugh and my maid of honor remarked how good she was at herding us into place without making us feel ordered around (or like cattle). She worked with us from start to finish, including a date change where she had to reschedule personal obligations for us! I'm including my knot review left after my wedding because it really says it all. We heart you Yesenia and you will always be our photographer of choice!

We are so happy with the services provided by Yesenia and YM Photography! Her personality is the bees knees and made me feel so comfortable. I'm a larger woman and I hate having my picture taken! She made me laugh and feel so comfortable it was like hanging with my homegirl instead of an engagement session. I'm so glad she convinced me to do the engagements or else I don't think I would have been so comfortable on my wedding day.

Disappointed.

I was really excited about hiring YM Photography. When I spoke with Yesenia on the phone, she told me she was "Type A" and would plan my day of photos. She told me to trust her with poses and scheduling. I was happy with this, because it's not something I wanted to have to deal with myself.

On my wedding day, she came without the second photographer we were promised. She later told me she "wished I had mentioned this" when she sent out my photography schedule that didn't contain a second shooter. I told her I have no idea how I would've known that the schedule didn't include a second shooter. I didn't even know we didn't have a second photographer until we got to the first look, and for some reason she was only taking pictures of me. No one got the reaction of my husband.

At the wedding, she changed our photography schedule based on lighting. I was okay with this, but she handled it unprofessionally. Multiple times, she told the bridesmaids and groomsmen to go back inside because they were done with pictures, but then called them back out. This was the same for family. She kept asking me who I wanted pictures with, even though I took the time to fill out all her forms on this information well before the wedding.

At the wedding, she told us she planned to have our gallery to us within a week as her personal goal. She even sent us some preview photos, which was so nice. I said she didn't have to do that and we wanted them to be good pictures. We were promised 8-10 weeks in our contract, and we were prepared to wait. But she kept saying 1 week.

After the week, I reached out. She said she would have it to us in a few weeks. She kept posting personal goal dates on her Facebook Client page. Our wedding was July 13. I checked in again August 19, then again September 12. She told me she was very busy and my contract said 10-12 weeks. I sent her the contract which said 8-10 weeks, and she blamed her former assistant for getting the dates wrong.

At the end of this experience, I advised her to not give deadlines she didn't intend to keep- to which she again kept saying those were her own personal goals and not contracted dates.

I believe if you are going to put something on a Facebook group and say it's your personal goal, you need to stick to it. We would've been happy to wait the 8-10 weeks. Just don't get our hopes up that the pictures will be here sooner.

When we received our gallery (on the final day - 10 weeks exactly on September 23), it was 950 pictures (we were promised 800), but most of them were duplicates in black and white. So really, we ended up with somewhere around 550 unique photos. Some of these had sloppy photoshop. You could tell she rushed.

Lastly, she offered me an album to make up for not having a second photographer. I approved the album design weeks before Thanksgiving. But she did not submit the album design to her manufacturer until January 6th, as she was on "holiday break" from Thanksgiving through January 2. Many couples were still waiting on their wedding galleries at that point, too.

Over all, I was not pleased. For the price, it was fine. But her prices have risen since then, and I wouldn't pay what she is currently asking. I think she is a good photographer, and I'm sure she'd be great to work with if you had expectations set out from the beginning. I thought I did, and I was wrong.

DO NOT HIRE THIS LADY!!! I hired her for my wedding this summer and she has completely stolen my memories from me and I can't even begin to describe just how awful this is. From the second she showed up to rehearsal dinner the night before my wedding she was so unpleasant and yelling at everyone. She acted as if being there was a complete inconvenience to her and she had no interest even though she were being paid to do a job. Why did she even show up at the rehearsal and take pictures if she had no intention on giving any of those to me? I want my memories from that day. At the wedding she yelled at all the bridesmaids while we were getting ready, she yelled at my Grandma twice during the ceremony and made my 6 year old niece cry and I had to stop everyone from saying anything to her at the wedding because she upset everyone for no reason. Weddings are supposed to be a great time and she was absolutely miserable at mine. I trusted her to give me the memories of the most special day of my life and how can she can live with yourself knowing this is her career to not provide them to me is beyond me. I have zero pictures from the cake cutting and she was yelling at everyone to not take pictures yet she chose to not give the ones she took to me. She asked me what pictures I wanted. I asked for a picture with my grandma, and specific other people that she took but NEVER gave to me. This isn't about her and what she chose for pictures these are MY memories and what I asked for and wanted. I understand that a photographer isn’t going to give someone every photo and that is okay but I expect the main events as well as the ones I asked for. Then she wrote to me in an email that she had a beautiful picture of me, my sister, and nieces dancing to the tribute song for my mom, who recently passed unexpectedly 3 months before my wedding. So she had an incredibly important picture but wouldn't give it to me. That is cruel and evil. That is beyond my wedding memori
