Delicious and Beautiful!
Delicious! My venue included a cake from Yia Yia’s Bakery, and it was fantastic! The design was exactly what we wanted, simple, elegant, and delicious! We chose a different flavor for each layer of our cake and had a great consultation with Nicole! There was more than enough for all of our guests, and we were thrilled to find out that there was a little leftover for us to enjoy after the wedding in addition to the traditional cake top to freeze for our anniversary!

Absolutely Delicious! - 10/10 recommend!
We found Yia Yia's as a partner with our caterer's (Atlantic Caterers). They are the right choice and I see why Atlantic works with them! Nicole helped us try SO many options and was so flexible with the package we wanted. We did 4 different cupcake combinations/flavors for our October wedding - Chocolate, Red Velvet, Carrot, and Lemon Blueberry. We also did a small 6 inch cake just for my husband and I to do a private cake cutting.
Everything was absolutely delicious and we honestly barely had any leftovers because our guests loved the desserts so much! The Lemon Blueberry caught both of my husband and I off guard with how good it was, as we're both normally strictly chocolate people. But honestly, you can't go wrong with anything there.
Whether for your wedding, next event, or just stopping by the bakery for a treat, we highly recommend them!

Amazing Desserts and Cake!
Nicole and the team at Yia Yia’s Bakery did an exceptional job on the cake and desserts for our wedding! Not a single dessert was left at the end of the night! We had an assortment of different desserts from Yia Yia’s and a two-tier cake. We were able to sit down with Nicole and discuss all of our options. We actually had a last-minute family emergency before our testing, resulting in us not being able to come in. Yia Yia’s was very accommodating and allowed us to do our cake testing at home at a later date. Cannot recommend them enough, affordable too!

Beautiful and amazing wedding cake
Everything was amazing! From the tasting, to the final look of the cake, and especially for the taste of it. I absolutely love their red velvet. I knew I wanted to book them because we used to live near them and loved their pastries. But I was still incredibly happy with how everything turned out for our wedding.

Great experience with Yia Yia's
We worked with Yia Yia’s Bakery via our venue (Turf Valley) for our wedding cake. We were extremely pleased with how it turned out. Nicole was very communicative and helped to clarify any misunderstandings along the way to make sure that we were on the same page. We loved the look of our cake and REALLY loved the taste. We got a lot of compliments from our guests. We would easily recommend Yia Yia’s for wedding cake. Unfortunately we do not have a photo of it (yet), but if they have one, they are welcome to share it!

Yia Yia’s Bakery is a great choice for a wedding cake! Their flavors were unbelievable, and our guests enjoyed each flavor we included in our cake. Nicole was very helpful with getting all of the details perfect. The decorations on the cake itself were exactly what I wanted and went perfectly with our theme. Also, the price we paid was half of other companies and their flavors weren’t really any different. We saved a lot of money! We were extremely happy with our choice to hire Yia Yia’s.

Beautiful AND delicious!
The process of working with Yia Yia's Bakery for our wedding cake was so simple and easy! The cake tasting was super informative (and of course very yummy) and we had our cake and flavors picked out within an hour. There are so many different flavor/filling/topping combinations that you are pretty much guaranteed to find something that fits your flavor preferences. Yia Yia's provided delivery to the venue which was super easy and convenient too. We would definitely recommend them!

Yia Yia's made our perfect wedding cake! Working with Andrea was a dream and easy. We had our tiers alternate with key lime and chocolate. Our design was exactly what we wanted with adding in our wedding colors of silver and sapphire blue. They delivered and took care of everything. I didn't have to worry at all on the big day. Our guests couldn't compliment the cakes enough! Highly recommend!

Desserts were amazing!
Everything about our desserts were amazing! We ordered a two-tiered cake, along with three different mini desserts (chocolate eclairs, fruit tarts and black bottoms). The cake went so fast our guests could not try it soon enough! The mini desserts were a hit and great for those who are not cake eaters. I cannot wait until our first anniversary to eat our amazing wedding cake again! Nicole was absolutely amazing and made sure every detail was perfect. We will definitely be using Yia Yia's for all of our future cakes!

Yia Yia's Bakery was a pleasure to work with and turned out a beautiful and delicious wedding cake that all of my guests raved about. Their attention to detail was unparalleled, and they created a unique cake for us that embodied my dress on one half and my husband's tuxedo on the other half! Delicious traditional Greek desserts
Several weeks before my wedding, I decided to incorporate traditional Greek desserts into my dessert display to accompany my mom's amazing kourabiethes. I called Yia Yia's and asked them to work with me to create petite baklava and galaktoboureko (my favorite!) desserts, and they most definitely delivered! Our guests loved the desserts, and having traditional Greek pastries to accompany a traditional American cake was really special for my fiance and me. Thank you, Yia Yia's! Best cake ever!
Hello Brides!
My family and I have gotten sweets and cakes from Yia Yia’s for years so there was no question where I’d be getting my cake from. I had 100 people at my reception, we chose a 4 tier cake with the top tier being our 6 inch cake to keep for our 1 year anniversary. We chose different flavors for the other three layers, red velvet with cream cheese filling, chocolate with raspberry filling, and almond with cream cheese filling. The cake was iced with Swiss Buttercream which we liked better than the American Buttercream (the latter tasted more confection-y). The cake was delicious, I ate two pieces! We debated eating our six inch cake the next day but refrained lol. The staff and Yia Yia’s was great and the tasting was so fun. I think Yia Yia’s stands for itself but if you have any doubt I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Yia Yia's Bakery was the vendor that was paired with my venue and I am so glad that it was! I had a great experience working with Andrea. I could tell that she was very busy but that never kept her from responding in a timely manner and sending me reminders to make sure I had everything set for my wedding day. She was extremely pleasant to work with at the tasting- which was definitely the best part of the wedding planning process. My now husband and I were in heaven at the tasting with all the different options presented. We ultimately had a four tier cake- each tier being a different flavor combination- that we served buffet style to our guests. I heard only great things about the cake and I enjoyed some of each flavor at the end of the night- DELICIOUS! Now, I'm just looking forward to our anniversary topper next June! DE. LI. CIOUS. Seriously get your cake from here. And while you’re there for your consultation, get anything and everything else from the bakery. So good!!! We got a 4 tier cake and each tier was a completely different flavor. They will work with you to create exactly what you want both on the inside and on the outside. I changed the outside decor of the cake 10 days before the wedding and they were more than accommodating and it turned out beautifully! Lucky for us, we over-ordered so now we’re enjoying the entire red velvet “back-up cake” that was leftover. Highly recommend Yia Yia’s both for wedding cakes and anything else bakery related!!

The most important answer everyone wants to know...Yes! The cake is delicious! Once we did our cake tasting there was no doubt that we were choosing this bakery for our wedding cake. We also ordered pies to tie in the fall theme of the wedding. Bonus is that they were so easy to work with, the cakes wont break the budget and my cake was exactly what I envisioned. I opted to do a small two-tier cake for my husband and I to cut, and then served cupcakes. They were the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had and I'm still getting compliments from guests about them. The decorations on the 2 tier cake were exactly what we decided with the wedding coordinator.

Our wedding cake was from Yia-Yia's and we couldn't be more happy! Andrea was very accommodating to work with and answered any questions. The tasting was fun too and even though I didn't want fondant, we still tried a sample to see how their's tasted. They also called the week before to make sure the design/flavors were still the same and confirm our head count. I had people coming up to me about how wonderful the cake tasted. Would work with again!

Very pretty and delicious cakes!!! Their customer service was great. I was able to be very hands off with the cake as I told what I wanted and they just put it into action. I did not have any complaints for them. Their cakes are so good. You are able to go with the classic types of cake or go out of the box for different flavors and icings. We look forward to eating our anniversary cake!!!!!
They also offer back up cake (sheet cake of some sort) to save on your cost per person. They were very reasonable though for wedding cakes.

We had a wedding cake and groom's cake made by Yia Yia's, and they were terrific. My daughter's wedding theme was peacock, and they made a beautiful three-tiered cake -- with NO fondant. The groom's cake was also buttercream. Both were equally delicious and attractive. Andrea Zahner was so helpful and easy to work with.

Our cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious! We had crystals that we wanted on the cake, and they wrapped the bands around, as well as individually placed hundreds of crystals on our cake. It looked absolutely beautiful and it tasted amazing!

We were sooo happy with our wedding cake--exactly what we wanted. It arrived to our venue on time and in perfect condition. The cake was moist and delicious! Many of our wedding guests raved about how good it was--only wish we would have gotten a layer bigger so there would have been leftovers!

LOVED our cake!! Andrea was great to work with and we had so much fun at our cake tasting. We chose a different flavor for each of the three tiers, and I'm just sad that when the wedding came we didn't get a piece of each one! Everyone loved it and the design turned out beautifully. Andrea the wedding coordinator was very helpful and friendly. The cake tasting was fun and all of the cake samples were great. It was very difficult to pick, because they were all so good. The design of the cake was exactly what my daughter requested. Everyone at the reception loved the cake.

We worked with Andrea from Yia Yia’s Bakery. She was AMAZING. I came in for a consultation with some ideas, and she brought everything to life. She drew several pictures of my vision and it was spot on. Andrea and this bakery were SUPER easy to work with and the most affordable wedding cake bakery we could find for this quality of work. Now…on to the cake. It’s to die for. We had a 4 layer cake (with an extra 6 inch back-up cake) and we had 3 different flavors. This cake was absolutely delicious, and we could tell our guests agreed as all of the cake was eaten…and quickly! 10 out of 10 for Yia Yia’s Bakery!

Our wedding venue, Mountain Branch Golf Club, included the wedding cake through their wedding package. They ordered their cakes through Yia Yia's. I LOVED our cake! It was beautiful and delicious! When my husband and I went to our initial cake tasting we were not sure what to expect. The staff at Yia Yias were organized and had everything clearly laid out for us. They went through the tasting and helped us make choices as to what flavors we wanted. When deciding how to decorate the cake, they had a large assortment of pictures for us to go through. Mark and I found one we liked and they sketched out our ideas. Mark and I supplied the ribbon and the flowers. The finished project was perfect! We could have been more pleased with the cake!

My wedding cake from Yia Yia’s Bakery turned out so beautiful and tasted even better! The amount of options you have to choose from when creating your cake was amazing. It was very difficult to narrow it down at the tasting! Andrea was very helpful and answered all our questions and helped my husband and I realize our vision for our cake. The cake was beautifully done, fresh, and delivered right on time to our venue the day of our wedding. After my husband and I cut our cake and shared that first bite with each other, we continued right on eating the piece we had cut! It was so good! For our top anniversary tier, we have cut it into 12 pieces and froze each piece individually and on the 26th of each month (our wedding date), we will pull out a piece and enjoy for the next year! A great way to enjoy the cake each month and relive our special day! I highly recommend Yia Yia’s Bakery for your wedding cake or any cake!

We decided against the traditional white, fondant wedding cake and instead got an array of cakes from YaYa's Bakery. We got so many compliments of "best wedding cake ever" from our guests, though it wasn't really a wedding cake :) We bought a D and stuck it on top of our favorite from our "tasting." We went to the bakery and bought a bunch of slices to share with extended family over thanksgiving so they could participate in the fun and help us choose which cakes to have at the reception (since they made up a large portion of our guests). The venue cut the different cakes for the guests to choose from and it was a hit! It was fun, delicious and fit our budget!

We purchased our wedding cake and a groom’s cake from Yia Yia’s and are now looking for an excuse to get another cake from them – this bakery is amazing! Our 3-tiered wedding cake was white with cascading lavender flowers - simple but quite elegant and beautiful. It tasted as good as it looked. We had 3 flavors (one per tier): Red velvet with a cream cheese frosting, lemon with a raspberry frosting, and marble with a mocha frosting. All tied seamlessly together with a light Swiss buttercream. Each combo was amazing and we received so many compliments on the cake (the marble-mocha was probably the most popular of the wedding cake flavors). But the biggest crowd pleaser was actually the groom’s cake which sported a Batman logo and was a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. We loved this flavor combo when we tried it, but had no idea that our guests would be raving about it as much as they did. We selected the option to have Yia Yia deliver the cake to our venue (The Cloisters in Lutherville, MD) which went off without a flaw (and not having to worry about the cake delivery was so worth it). We couldn’t be happier with Yia Yia’s (on both quality and cost) and would highly recommend them.

The four tier (6"/9"/12"/16") raspberry swiss/chocolate mousse/chocolate ganache cake for my daughter's wedding reception was truly amazing. Mehendi/henna pattern with gold ribbon on each tier was meticulously designed for this occasion. But for the 6" anniversary top-tier cake, not a single piece of the sliced wedding cake was left over for us take home. Several of the guests had a chance to taste both the flavors. The cake sales coordinator Andrea Zahner has been very helpful to come up with suitable suggestions to design the cake and select the right material for the gold ribbon.
Though "Yia-yia" is an affectionate Greek word for "Grandmother", to all cake lovers it is a must "yes-yes" place to have your wedding cakes ordered.

I loved the tasting; she made it so easy to choose what we wanted! I had a picture of a cake that I wanted to mimic and Yia Yia's delivered!! It was exactly what I dreamed it would look like down to every detail. Not only was the cake gorgeous it was delicious! Typically, wedding cake sits on a table and a small group of people eat the cake, but we had none left! Everyone was lining up as they were cutting it- it was that good! I thought that the price was beyond reasonable; more inexpensive than I thought a wedding cake would be. I have used Yia Yia's for other events as well and every single time they exceed the expectations. I already have a friend using them for her wedding in September!

Loved our cake from Yia Yia's Bakery. We had different layers - red velvet to die for; OMG almond; my favorite lemon! Yia Yia's also did a fabulous job decorating. Even though it was fairly simple (I don't like fondant, so we didn't make it too involved), they made it look beautiful with my cobalt blue ribbon & rhinestone wrap along with big chunks of sugar to look like freshly fallen snow for my winter wedding. We also got a very chocolate, chocolate cake as the groom's cake. Both were delivered flawlessly and on time! Everyone loved the cake . . . the way it looked and the way it tasted!

I cannot comment on the value because our cake from yia yia's was included in the price for our venue (Hillendale Country Club). At first, I was a little disappointed that my husband and I would not get to choose the place we wanted to make our wedding cake, since Hillendale does not allow outside food. However, when we first sat down with Andrea and had our cake tasting I realized that we were in great hands and had no doubts that we would have the perfect cake! After tasting numerous cakes and fillings we decided on flavors and then described our vision of the cake design to Andrea. She had lots of books to show us which was very helpful. We were very impressed that Andrea sketched the cake right in front of us and then very pleased when the cake matched our vision exactly! Highly Recommend!

We actually chose to do cupcakes for our wedding and Andrea at Yia Yia's was very helpful at walking us through the process. The cake was one of the last things we did and it was a bit last minute, but Yia Yia's was available and we are so glad they were.
The cupcakes were delicious and were delivered without any incident.
We did 4 different flavors with a variety of toppings and fillings and I tried each and every one that day. There wasn't a bad on in the bunch.

They made my dream cake! The cake was delicious as well. We had many compliments about the taste and design of the cake from our guests!

Our wedding cake was delicious and reasonably priced. Both of our families reached out to us the next day to tell us how good it was. We got the white cake with Bavarian cream. My husband and I stop in there once a week now for a tasty treat. The staff is so helpful. It is easy to tell it is a family business. I would highly recommend.

Everyone kept pushing us to other bakeries in Baltimore, but after tasting Yia Yia's we knew they were the best. Guests were stopping us at the wedding to say that was "the best wedding cake" they had ever tasted. Not only did it taste amazing - it looked EXACTLY like the photo I provided!

Unbelievable wedding cake! I was told by at least half of my guests that my wedding cake was the best they had ever had! We had a 3 tiered cake with one tier being orange cream and the other was chocolate cream with a ganache center. O.M.G...the cake literally melted in your mouth. It was so moist and delicious. They are well known in the area as having THE best cakes and with good reason. I had people grabbing up additional pieces to take home as soon as they were put down. There is a reason why everyone gives them 5 stars...worth every star too! Thanks Yia Yia's for the best wedding cake I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.

Yia Yia's Bakery did an excellent job on our wedding cake. We met with them beforehand to do our cake tasting and design our wedding cake. It was EXACTLY how we designed it, and all of my guests said it was the BEST wedding cake them have ever had. The marble cake with peanut butter mousse was the biggest hit!!!
My husband and I were also given the top tier as our anniversary cake!! (red velvet!!!!)
They delivered the cake on time, and were wonderful to work with!

My cake was absolutely gorgeous and very yummy! I really enjoyed the cake taste testing to try out all of the flavors. It was very hard to choose. Overall, I was very happy with my wedding cake! :)

Yia Yia's had a deal with our caterer, Hunt Valley Catering, which is why we first looked at them, but we were very pleased with the service they provided. Their wedding coordinator Andrea was very helpful at our planning meeting/ tasting in choosing the cake, she was responsive whenever I had a question, and the cake was beautiful on our wedding day. I would recommend them.

Working with Andrea at Yia Yia's was great, she made me feel so at ease about my cake. It was beyond beautiful and tasted AMAZING. My sister also got my bridal shower cake from Yia Yia's and that was amazing too. I can't wait to have the top tier on our one year because I know that will be amazing too.

We had a wedding cake to cut, and cupcakes for the guests. They were very accomodating in the number of cupcakes that we needed, did not make us stick by the dozen. Everyone loved all of the flavor choices, and the cake was amazing!

Yia Yia's was great to work with and our cake was beautiful. They modeled it off of our wedding invitations and are using it in their look books. Our cake was free of charge with our catering package. Tasted great and was a beautiful center piece to our wedding.

We used Yia Yia for our grooms cake - they created a State Trooper Car that was perfect (its on their facebook page) and delicious! We were sad when we got home from our honeymoon and there were no leftovers of the cake because everyone ate it up at the wedding!

Our wedding cake was delicious and Andrea did a great job working with us on the cake design. Yia Yia's was also helpful and provided us with written directions about the best way to preserve the top layer of the cake for our 1-year anniversary (I would've just put the whole box in the freezer, but there is actually a several-step process). Although this may seem like a small or unimportant detail to some, I think it demonstrates Yia Yia's attention to detail and a high level of customer care.
Visiting Yia Yia's bakery for the cake tasting was a great find - it is one of the most authentic bakeries that I've found in the Baltimore area and will definitely be visiting them in the future!
