Rick truly did a phenomenal job! He was prompt, prepared, and professional. Rick went above and beyond, as he attended the rehearsal and helped ensure we were prepared for the big day. He truly knew how to throw a great party! He stuck to the set list but also played similar songs to match the crowd and ensure all age groups of guests could enjoy. Everybody raved about how much of a party we threw, and it was all thanks to Rick for keeping the dance floor alive and upbeat. The addition of his lights and music videos were also a nice touch and added to the joy of the night. Rick was accommodating the whole entire time. He worked well under pressure, he went with the flow, and he honored our requests. Even when the timing of events got thrown off, Rick adjusted and picked right back up without missing a beat. The biggest thing that stuck out to me was that Rick asked US if he could stay later to keep the party going. Our reception ended at 10:00 but he stayed after 10:30 to keep the party going and to honor all of our song requests. Rick truly went above and beyond and was an exceptional DJ, all while being extremely budget-friendly. I could not possibly recommend a better DJ!!!

A class act!

We could not recommend Rick enough to be your wedding DJ ! He was attentive , professional , prepared , & so very talented! He was quick to communicate and made us feel at ease when it came to the playlists of our wedding, which is VERY important because music is basically number 1 to the both of us. He came early & even fixed problems that our venue’s tvs were having. He went out of his way to make our day extra special. his set up was awesome too and everyone raved about it. Absolutely incredible!
We hired Rick to DJ our 9/28/2025 wedding in Columbus and we could not be more pleased with his work! Rick is relaxed and super friendly but goes above and beyond to make sure he is prepared. He went to our venue a few weeks before the wedding to make sure his set up could fit, and he made adjustments as necessary. He always got back to us quickly and we always felt looped in, even when he was communicating with our other vendors.
From the cute custom set up, to the music videos, to the slideshow of photos of us he showed throughout the evening the visuals were amazing. He also did a really excellent job adjusting to the lighting of the venue, which had multicolored lights of its own. He was able to complement and not overpower the dance floor lighting which meant a lot to some of my friends who are more photosensitive. He was also great with planning a playlist—incorporating my husband’s very specific requests and adjusting by reading the room as needed to deliver the ultimate party! People were dancing until the very last song and people are still talking about how much fun the dance party was weeks later.

We found Rick at the recommendation of a family friend and oh my gosh we struck gold. He was incredibly affordable compared to some other quotes we received. He was thorough, prepared, professional, and flexible. He worked with us making tweaks in our wedding script up until hours before our ceremony. We gave him some ideas for reception music and he knocked it out of the park. We had an amazing dance floor all night long. The equipment he brings is high quality and sounded great. Rick was great to work with! He is responsive, an expert at his craft, and a very friendly man. He let us pick the majority of the songs and supplemented them with songs that he knew that were of the same genre or vibe. His equipment was nice, and the sound was incredible. When looking for a wedding dj/mc you have to trust the reviews. Me and my wife were positive we wanted to leave a great review. Rick was informative and so helpful when walking us through everything. He made it so easy and he worked directly with our venue to ensure a perfect setup.
Rick was very responsive and worked with us on some of the scripting and timelines. He was able to handle our special requests, understanding our unique family dynamics, and made the day so easy. We love live music and wanted it to sound great and it did! Also, he was easy to hear when he made announcements and the speeches were crystal clear to everyone in the room.

Booking a vendor for your wedding can be stressful, and I’m so happy we chose Rick! He was an excellent communicator and so kind from the beginning. My husband and I love music and it was important to us to be able to pick music meaningful to us, but also have people have fun and enjoy the party! Rick learned our likes and played our requests, as well as supplemented with similar music. For the open dances he played music to get everyone out on the dance floor. I was so excited to dance at my reception and I did!! Rick also followed a professional script and checked in with important people to make sure the reception moved along. The perfect night!

Rick was always professional, listening to what was important to us while making suggestions to improve our wedding and reception. We got married outdoors in 95-degree heat, and he not only kept his cool, he had a ready smile for everyone. His easygoing personality showed throughout the reception, keeping the evening moving along. Our guests ranged in age from 10 months to 90 years old and he had the crowd up and dancing all night. Rick was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He was so communicative and helpful leading up to the wedding. He went above and beyond in so many ways I’m not even sure where to start. He helped my mom put together an incredible video with perfect soundtrack. There really were just so many things he did I can’t list them all.
On the day of my husband and I felt so well taken care of. He was communicating to me my husband and even made sure to check in with my parents throughout the evening.

Beyond our expectations!!
My, oh my- Rick and Kayla went above and beyond in managing the reception as well as being an awesome DJ team! So many people asked if they were family or friends because they genuinely guided us through the night with love.
Also, Rick’s ability to help finalize our slide show was phenomenal! I was the mother of the bride and wedding planner and welcomed every bit of the help along the way. His communication and thoughtfulness will not be forgotten.
When things slowed down he came around and asked for song recommendations. It was a phenomenal event and can’t thank you enough.

The absolute BEST DJ I've ever encountered! Rick took on our son's formal wedding two weeks before the wedding after the DJ we had hired a year in advance let us down by canceling on us because he was so unprofessional! Rick not only precisely delivered the exact music for the ceremony, and reception, but also provided a very custom playlist for the wedding for every entrance and stage of the wedding and reception. He provided all Master of Ceremony duties for both the rehearsal, wedding, and reception. His attention to detail was mind blowing! He was respectful, calm, professional, and a master at pulling everything together while allowing the wedding party, Bride & Groom, and parents to relax and enjoy knowing he had it all under control! His multitasking skills were stellar! His equipment was very up to date, and the massive screen provided for the slideshow and background for the live band was just an awesome added bonus. He provided microphones for the ceremony for the Preacher and the couple. He followed an agenda and ensured the ceremony and reception were flawless to the Bride's every wish.
He provided us with a slideshow, and even custom created DVD's of the slideshow, wedding & reception afterwards. I'm still absolutely amazed at what Rick accomplished with little to no notice. He is nothing short of a true professional with capabilities we've never seen offered by any DJ ever before! Literally, everyone at the wedding were asking who this DJ was, where did we get him, and commenting on how wonderful he was. You may think that his fees would be high considering all that he offered us, but NO, he was very competitive! Honestly, we were so impressed that we gave Rick a 33% tip. He earned every penny believe that! Hire him, you WON'T BE SORRY!!!

Truly could not have asked for anyone better!! I would recommend Rick to anyone!! He was extremely organized and willing to make any adjustments we asked for. He sent us a form to fill out that outlined our entire ceremony and reception and allowed us to pick the songs we wanted and the vibe of wedding we were going for! Of all the vendors at our wedding, we got the most compliments on how great our DJ was! Very reasonably priced, did our ceremony and reception, and was willing to stay late to keep the party going. We absolutely loved Rick!

Very fast to respond and extremely professional. Loved the set up of the itinerary and how we were able to customize it to our vision. Accommodating to where our venue was and very helpful with making sure we were able to time our walkthrough just right. Highly recommend!

DJ Rick is just the best! He was very flexible, dealt with my vision & plans, helped with weather preparations (that we thankfully didn’t need) and ran the rehearsal for us.
When it came to the reception, the party was awesome, and he kept everyone having fun!

The wedding was perfect because yellow bud production. Keeping the schedule and be so thorough with questions and understanding what we wanted for our wedding. Rick was great and went above and beyond for our wedding. He attended the rehearsal dinner to help plan for our big day, and showed his experience with weddings by helping us finalize some of the details and things we did not consider! The DJ planning sheet was a great tool to help us make sure each and every step was covered and discussed. His equipment sounded great with a huge TV and dance lighting as well. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Rick was absolutely AMAZING! He was at rehersal to make sure everyone knew what they were doing when and what song they were walking to. He showed up to the wedding a few hours early to make sure everything ran smoothly! He recommended songs for certain parts of the night. My husband and I have so many good things to say about him, and our guests noticed how organized he was and absolutely loved him!! One of my guests said “I don’t think there was a question he didn’t know. He knew his stuff and really helped the wedding flow perfectly”. He is very budget friendly and willing to work with you! I can’t recommend him enough!

Rick came very prepared and was patient with me when I didn’t provide him all of the info until the last minute. He executed everything perfectly! We unfortunately lost power during our reception and until our shuttle bus hooked up as the generator, Rick was prepared to dj through all of the Bluetooth speakers he could find. If you want a packed dance floor, look no further!
DJ Rick from Yellowbud productions was AMAZING! My husband and I got married at the farm where I grew up. Because it wasn't a traditional venue, Rick went above and beyond to make sure the venue had everything he needed for his DJ setup. He showed up early on Friday morning, was excellent at running the rehearsal, and helped keep things moving all day on Saturday. We had a lot of rain during our outdoor reception, and Rick was excellent at weathering the storm. Despite the rain, our dancefloor was packed thanks to his awesome music and lights!

We can’t tell you enough how happy we are that Rick from Yellowbud Productions was our wedding DJ. From the very moment we contacted him, all the way to the end of our reception, he was a total pro! Planning a wedding can be so overwhelming, and Rick made this part a breeze for us. He took care of ceremony and reception music/emcee services from start to finish, and there’s no doubt this guy knows what he’s doing! All we wanted was for our guests to have a great time, and Rick delivered…above and beyond! The flow of the ceremony and reception was flawless. The dance floor was hopping all night! Great Experience Overall
My now husband and I hired Rick to provide music and MC services at our wedding this past Saturday (10/23). We got his information from the venue we held our wedding at as he was on their list of preferred vendors and I am so glad we did. Rick was communicative from the very beginning, laid back and reassuring and also proactively sent me his music/script template over a month ahead of the wedding with a note that it wasn't needed yet, but that he wanted me to have it in case I wanted to start on it ahead of time. I was feeling behind and worrying and so receiving this thoughtful email and template gave me a feeling that I was accomplishing something ahead of schedule, it was a very good feeling. He also rolled with some detail changes to the script the week before the wedding, which we really appreciated.
We didn't really have a play list in mind but we did have a few specific songs we wanted played, and Rick was able to make sure that we had them, right down to a specific time stamp so that we had specific lyrics playing for our announcement as Mr & Mrs right after the ceremony. When our officiant was late to the rehearsal Rick offered to do the walk through if he didn't arrive. Little details like that really set Rick apart. He played lots of fun music that was eclectic and hit the right notes with both the younger crowd and the more conservative family members. It felt like Rick was more of a friend playing our wedding music than a person we had hired! Highly recommend Rick and his company Yellowbud.

Rick is a complete gem, my wife and I couldn’t be happier that we found him! He knows this business, is meticulous with this craft, and is able to make adjustments and things work that we would never have thought of. He worked with our videographer with the mic’s to make sure everything was captured perfectly and was even there at the rehearsal to set up and play music! He helped our officiant with the order of things (it was her first time officiating) and made everything run smooth. The music was perfect for our guests, amazing lighting and video background, I can not say enough about how he made our day just that much better. Reception Slamn Dunk
Rick was an absolute pleasure to work with for our reception at The Joseph in Columbus. He was professional and responsive throughout the process and met all of our various requests. My wife was very particular about the type of music she wanted and Rick really nailed it for us. He even took it upon himself to reach out to the hotel on his own far ahead of the reception. His prices are really fair for the quality of service he provides. His equipment was all nice and the music sounded great. We danced the night away! I would definitely recommend Rick to anyone.

Wedding Reception
My husband and I had a small wedding in Mexico with close family and friends. We decided to have a second reception with extended family and friends in our hometown after our honeymoon. Rick did an exceptional job highlighting our wedding for guests throughout the reception, so that they were able to feel apart of the big day. He chose great music at appropriate times. My guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves; the dance floor was never bare.
Rick was attentive and organized throughout the entire process. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a DJ.

Could not have been better!
Rick (Yellowbud Productions) could not have been a better DJ for our wedding.
He made the whole event an amazing experience.
Even from the start the communication and planning was very smooth and Rick was easy to work with.
He made sure the whole thing ran smoothly , and was extremely helpful and professional.
His set up looked and sounded amazing, and made the dancefloor flawless.
He was on top of things the whole night keeping things running smoothly, and having a great time himself!
There was not one thing I would change about our whole wedding night, and that is in no small part thanks to Rick!

Rick was the perfect DJ! He is so organized and helped us plan so much. He kept the ceremony and reception running smoothly and was able to make changes whenever we needed them. He would always respond to questions quickly and has the best selection of songs. He kept the music going and everyone stayed on the dance floor because of him. I would rate him an 11/10!!!

Fantastic setup
Rick did a wonderful job throughout our experience with Yellowbud Productions. He was quick and efficient with his responses. He was very flexible with our requests, and extremely professional with his contract and planning format. Everyone LOVED the music videos that went along with some of the songs.

Best DJ in Ohio
My husband and I were married on 11.23.19. and we had Yellowbud Productions for both our ceremony and reception. Rick was absolutely AMAZING. By far the best and easiest vendor to work with during the entire wedding planning process, and the wedding itself. He is extremely reasonable, responsive, flexible and truly gives his all to his clients. Rick was with us our entire day before the wedding to set up (and even helped decorate!), offer advice, and helped ensure rehearsal went smoothly so we knew exactly how and when to go with the music. Our ceremony and reception the day of was PHENOMENAL. The music was clear, loud, and boastful. The light show with the music was flawless, and he even made a slideshow of pictures to play throughout the reception which was such a wonderful touch that not only we, but our guests enjoyed. We had so many positive comments about him and his service, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Thank you Rick for being such a huge help and making our wedding a dream come true.

Yellowbud for the win!
From the first moment I emailed Rick, he was responsive and detailed. He ensured that all of my wife and my recommendations were a priority. He came to our rehearsal and even showed up early on to spec out the venue. He was honest and fair. The music was incredible. We gave him a short playlist plus some inspiration of our favorite artists. He played exactly what we wanted. The music was so good song after song that even when I was tired I couldn’t leave the dance floor because another fantastic song came on! Thank you, Rick for everything. My wife and I say that music is our biggest priority in life and it shined at our wedding!

Rick did an amazing job! Very responsive, very organized with paperwork for easy planning of reception! Also did a slideshow with pictures which was awesome! His setup is also impressive, a lot of different music, lights, and a screen. I would highly highly recommend for any wedding!

“What A Wonderful World”
Rick.
I LITERALLY cannot tell you how INCREDIBLE he was with LITERALLY EVERYTHING! We were quite late to hire a DJ, but Rick from start to finish was nothing less that completely flexible and accommodating. He has the most through list of musical songs needed for your big day to be reviewed to make your day that much more special. He coordinated with the venue and my photographer and set the mood and scene for the day, making everything run as smoothly and flawlessly as possible. He set up before we got there and shut down after we left, making sure our day was perfect from top to bottom. I even last minute requested a special dance with my grandfather MINUTES before I wanted to do it, and Rick made it happen, bringing more than half of the room to tears. We had a vast variety of wants and needs for the music of our big day, and he didn’t fail us once, making the transitions smoothly and effortlessly. He played to the crowds wants and needs, getting our nieces and nephews out of the dance floor and dancing the night away. I could literally cry just telling you about how incredible Rick is, and how PERFECT he made this special day. I’m a heartbeat I’d recommend him to anyone for their special day, or even just for any musical needs for special events. I cannot rave more about this wonderful man!

Professional & focused on our best interest
Rick was great. He was very attentive to our needs and typed up several drafts with us before the ceremony to ensure he got things right for our special day. He was very professional, and worked great with our venue behind the scene to coordinate our wedding. Great and affordable DJ
Rick did a great job as a DJ at our wedding in Chillicothe. He was the most responsive company we found and kept us informed throughout the process. His planning sheet is incredibly detailed so he came to the event very prepared. We even threw him for a loop since it was a Jewish wedding and we wanted to do the horah. He came prepared for that as well. Despite less than perfect conditions at the reception venue, Rick's set up was great and he played everything we asked of him. Would definitely recommend!

Yellowbud Productions is simply the best.
Rick went above and beyond for our wedding. We had a very difficult set-up, with sound needs in three different locations. Rick was attentive and resourceful and he helped make the transition from each different location seem seamless and easy. When it became apparent we would need his help for sound/video at the rehearsal dinner, Rick volunteered to stick around to help out, and was with us for way longer than he expected, but he never once complained, and seemed happy to help us pull off our wedding.
As a DJ, Rick kept the dancefloor full. There was never a single lull in the party. He played songs that got everyone on the floor, and knew the best times to end songs and move on to other tunes. He was great at annoucing events. He never made the wedding about him, he was the perfect professional.
His pricing is extemely reasonable, and you get way more than you pay for with Yellowbud. I wish he was in NYC so we could book him for all of our events. He is hands down the best DJ we could have asked for. Do not make the mistake of going with someone else.

Truly amazing
Rick is truly AMAZING. We held our reception at a place he had never been before so he came Friday to check out the space to make sure he would not run into any issues. He did run into one issue while there. He let me know but said it was no problem and he would make it work. Never did I even feel stressed. Then the day of the wedding he got there nice and early and had everything ready to go. His MC skills are amazing I had so many of my guest come up and tell me this. He kept me and my husband on schedule the whole time which made it much easier for me so i didn't have to keep track of time. We had one request of the whole wedding and it was to keep people on the dance floor and he came through. We had a blast at our wedding and truly owe a lot of the success to Rick. I had to many guest after the wedding come up and compliment him and how great he was! If Rick is available for your wedding or any event book him fast!

Rick/Yellowbud Productions was absolutely fantastic for our wedding. He was professional, responsive, and flexible throughout the whole process and really helped keep the wedding moving in a seamless fashion! He was able to take our musical preferences, make fantastic playlists for the ceremony and reception, and allowed guest requests at the reception. He was always fast to respond to any questions we had and communicated well with our ceremony and reception sites.
Most importantly, though, was how much of a blast everyone had! The dance floor was never empty/lacking and there was a song for everyone. My husband and I actually almost lost our voices from singing along to the music. I would highly recommend Rick/Yellowbud Productions to anyone in need of a DJ for their wedding or any other event.

The perfect wedding
Rick/Yellowbud Productions were incredible. If you want your day to go perfectly, you should hire Rick/Yellowbud. He took the time to personalize everything, add all the music in at the right times, and thought of all the tiny details. We used Yellowbud for the ceremony and the reception, and he went above and beyond - willingly attending the rehearsal to embracing our last minute changes with enthusiasm. And, during our reception, almost everyone was on the floor dancing at one point - absolutely incredible. I enthusiastically and highly recommend Yellowbud Productions!
