We could not have asked for anything better!

We got married in St. John and found Yelena online, she was super easy to communicate and plan with. She found beautiful settings and gave us advice on how to pose for our beautiful photos!

Extraordinary and Stunning Photography!

My husband and I planned a fairly last minute vow renewal on St. John USVI for our 25th anniversary. Fortunately, it was on a Tuesday and Yelena was available. She was so nice, friendly, patient and professional! The photos could not be more beautiful! We are so happy we found her! I'm already thinking of bringing my entire family back for family photos! She is incredible!

Amazing photographer!

Yelena was truly amazing. My husband and I used her for a 10-year wedding anniversary shoot. It was raining that morning and we debated changing the date. Yelena was very open and accommodating to our desires. We ended up deciding to stick with the original date and, even though it was overcast, and Yelena got some amazing images! She's very easy to work with and good at providing direction. Thank you so much, Yelena!

Excellent experience!

Yelena made my fiance and I feel incredibly comfortable during our 2 hour engagement shoot. She gave us pointers on how we should pose along with helping us reenact ideas we had. Yelena captured amazing moments with her beautiful work. We had too many gorgeous photos to chose from for our save the date!

Photos of surprise engagement on Hawksnest!

We scheduled Yelena to photograph a surprise engagement. She was absolutely wonderful! She was there prior to my daughter's arrival, had everything planned perfectly! We are so thankful she was a part of our special moment. I highly recommend Yelena! The pictures turned out amazing as well!

20 year vow renewal

We were so blessed to have Yelena be our photographer for our 20 year vow renewal ceremony. She was absolutely wonderful and a joy to work with. Our pictures are gorgeous and are proudly displayed all over our home. We highly recommend her!

Honeymoon photo shoot!

We absolutely loved Yelena! She made the entire process so fun and made us feel very relaxed. We LOVE our photos and will forever cherish them. I was so worried about booking with someone I’d never met but felt instantly at ease as soon as we met her. We recommend her 100x over!!

Simply amazing

Yelena did our anniversary photos and they were amazing! We wanted fun and playful and that is exactly what we got with a mix of sweet and romantic. At the end of our session we played around in the water and those are my very favorite photos.

Blissful 50th wedding anniversary photos

Yelena was such a joy to work with! We wanted photos to capture our engagement that we could always look back on so this was such an important time for us! She was so open to our vision and really captured what we wanted in our photos. She didn't mind taking us to multiple locations in order to achieve the perfect shot. She wasn't afraid to take a risk and was so knowledgeable about the island and knew all the great spots to take us too. Yelena has a passion for life, color and light - and she is good at bringing that out in her subjects, even reluctant ones, like me! I was nervous about being photographed pregnant. She made me feel and look beautiful. To my surprise she even did my hair and makeup, and had maternity clothes to photograph me in. Could not be more pleased with the photos she took of me and my husband!

Yelena was amazing, she has a great spirit and energy and so much creativity! Yelena was our photographer for our sunset wedding on the beach in June 2016. She was referred to us by Anne Marie who married us. We could not be happier with the results.
She was snapping pictures right up until dark and used a lot of skill to get those perfect moments between natural light and flash. We saw several weddings during our stay, and didn't see any other photographer spending near the time or effort that Yelena did. The results were fantastic and it was very hard to chose which ones we would frame in our house.

If you are looking for a photographer on St. John, you can't go wrong with Yelena.

Yelena took family photographs and our newlywed photos at our villa and Trunk bay. She had not visited our villa before, but she had an eye to find the perfect spots with the right lighting and used the environment as props (stairs, bushes, palm trees...) to create beautiful romantic settings. She suggested the appropriate timing for us to start taking pictures at our villa and enough travel time to get to Trunk Bay in time for sunset pictures. She is very creative and made most of the suggestions for us for posing. There were many romantic shots for us newlyweds and fun interactive family group shots. The pictures were AMAZING! Yelena exceeded our expectations as a professional in her creativity, value, professionalism, and all around fun experience. We highly recommend her.

Yelena was amazing! We did a small ceremony at Oppenheimer beach last week and fell in love with Yelena's work when we reviewed it online. So we knew she would capture beautiful photos. When we told our wedding planners who we had chosen they said: "she has an amazing ability to capture people souls" - they were so right. I am not super comfortable in posed pictures, but Yelena gave amazing direction on how to stand to look natural. In setting up a shot, she waded into the water to remove an unsightly log that I hadn't even noticed was there. She captured so many angles, and lights. I haven't even seen the fully edited shots yet - but the ones she posted only hours after our ceremony look amazing! Such a pleasure to work with - so fun and so competent!

We had long planned a family vacation bringing our combined 5 adult children, to St. John to which we then added a wedding, all planned in less than 5 weeks time. All of our communication with Yelena were timely, friendly, helpful and informative. We made it very clear from the first contact with Yelena, that we wanted the photos to not only be focused on the actual ceremony, but the joining of our children into one family. Yelena was very receptive to our requests.
Not only did our kids have fun working with her on her photo arrangements, but we did too. Yelena has a very creative eye for capturing both posed shots as well as the spur of the moment ones. The photographic memories that she provided for us for that special ceremony at Trunk Bay, were beyond our expectations. She did an amazing job with editing to make it look like our group were the only ones on the beach that day which was in reality, full of other beach goers.
Yelena managed to capture some amazing photos during the ceremony and she was so unobtrusive about it that her physical presence was never an intrusion.
We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Yelena Rogers, to be the photographer who captures your special event while visiting the beautiful Island of St. John.

Yelena was absolutely wonderful! She met us on the beach in the morning for our wedding ceremony, and again later in the afternoon for our reception. She was timely and very patient as we were running around to several locations in extreme heat. All of her photo's came out absolutely stunning. She has a true eye for the best possible shots, and her attention to detail was impeccable. I would recommend her to anyone who is getting married on the island!

Yelena's photography service was exactly what we needed for our wedding. She made us feel very relaxed and we had lots of fun. She was also very sweet and personable. Yelena was great, her editing was phenomenal, and all the pictures turned out great. She had someone accompany her, who was just as professional. She's very creative with her shots and even willing to stand on a completely wobbly bar stool chair just to get the perfect shot! Always willing to go the extra mile, and even though my bride is super uncomfortable with having her picture taken, Yelena made her feel as comfortable as ever and it definitely shows in the pictures!

Yelena is very personable. She has quite the artistic eye for photography. A true professional. She really made our wedding memorable. Later, our daughter had a wedding in the states, and be,landed the fact that our photos were better than hers, even at a higher price.

Yelena is amazing. Above and beyond doesn't even begin to describe it. I picked her after studying wedding photos from a number of St. John photographers. I like how her pictures don't seem staged, and I love how she uses light to capture the beauty of the environment. I read all positive reviews, but I really didn't know how wisely I had chosen until my actual wedding day when I met Yelena.

My husband and I are not used to being photographed, and we wanted natural looking photos. Yelena took her time and knew just what to do to capture the beauty of our special day. She helped us to be comfortable. She made everything easy. She gave suggestions to help take some of the pressure off. I felt like she was an instant friend. I trusted her completely. She was patient and really respectful of the sanctity of the day and the important role that she played in capturing our feelings, especially because our friends and family were not there with us. She explained things that I wanted to know about and kept everything else behind the scenes. She was so helpful - truly, completely, wonderful. I called her the night before a morning wedding with a special request, and she accommodated like it was no big deal at all. But to me, it was a huge deal. After the photos were finished, she topped it off by helping us with something completely unrelated. Again, she acted like it was nothing, but to us, it really set her apart. I would choose Yelena over and over again - she is amazing.

Yelena has a wonderful gift allowing her to see at a degree of experience. Her flexibility and awesome attitude allows her to stick out from the rest. Watching her take the photos while she's on the tripod or on the ground or making silly noises to get the kids to laugh. She takes the time to make sure everyone looks there best! Pictures of people, animals, decorations, she truly gets the job done. Even taking the time to crop every picture to make sure it's everything you ever wanted. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend Yelena as your photographer. My husband and I renewed our vows on St John and Yelena was recommended to us. I was nervous doing all the planning via email and phone but Yelena was amazing and and helped me soothe all my fears. Her services helped us be able to capture the moments that were special to us! She was professional and helpful as well as a great listener to our needs and what we wanted. We had many photos to choose from - from the candid to posed and fun shots between. Out photos arrived promptly via disk as promised. I would highly recommend.

My husband and I were married in April at St. John, USVI.
We hired Yelena Rogers Wedding Photography to take our Wedding pictures.
From the very beginning Yelena was very professional and a pleasure to work with. She really knows the Island and took us to unique places for our Wedding photos. Beautiful composition and colors! I have been producing large very high end events for 15 years. Yelena is one of the best photographers I have ever worked with. The quality of her work is excellent, she is flexible with the client's schedule, such a joy to work with, and we received our pictures before the promised date. I am a boutique hotel owner/operator on St. John, USVI. We host many wedding groups each year. Several of our brides have used Yelena Rogers Photography in the past and have loved her work. After looking over her portfolio and seeing the high quality and creativity of her work, I decided to hire Yelena Rogers to photograph my baby shower last month. Yelena has photographed numerous high profile red carpet V.I.P. events at my house which covered the Lt Governor of the Virgin Islands, Celebrities and International socialites.
Her talent and professionalism are outstanding and her photos are beautiful. I highly recommend her and her quality services for any important events and for fond memories.

Yelena took our family photos for our Christmas card. They could not have been more beautiful! She works great with kids of all ages and made us feel relaxed and happy. She shot as long as she needed to get the right pictures and gave us a CD full of amazing images. She is extremely flexible and amazingly talented. I am so thrilled that you were there on Hawksnest with us as we took the biggest step of our lives. Our wedding was something we'll never forget and thanks to you we can look at our pictures and it feels like yesterday! Your work was incredible and you caught the moments so well it has nearly brought tears to the eyes of our relatives who weren't able to make it to the wedding.

Yelena Rogers Photographer was simply fabulous. Yelena helped us so much with arrangements and locations for our wedding. Being a first-time visitor to St. John, we relied on Yelena for so many decisions as she really seems to know St. John completely. Our wedding party followed Yelena's suggestions from which. Each to which night spot. Oh, and her photography was simply the best and clearly vivid shots which will be treasured for all of our lives. Yelena quickly became more than our photographer, she became a friend who told our love story. Our photos captured moments we didn't even remember happening, but she was there to make them a permanent memory. Our daughter and her fiance had plans to visit us on St. John at the end of May 2015. She called about two weeks prior to their arrival to let us know they had decided to get married while here. The two weeks of planning which followed are a blur which culminated in a fairy tale wedding on a private St. John beach. Yelena Rogers, with patience, professionalism, and personality, was a pleasure to work with! Her beautiful photographs totally captured the magic of the day, providing proof that fairy tales really can come true!

Yelena provided us with the most amazing photographic memories of our special beach wedding.
