Couldn't have picked a better band!

Fantastic band, so much talent! Yelba is so high energy, yet very easy to work with. You really get your money's worth. We had a mixed crowd at the wedding, half Hispanic and half Anglos, but she was perfect, a great mix of songs. Not one complaint. Wish I had another wedding to plan.

Amazing band!!!

Yelba's band was amazing from start to finish. She engaged the crowd and kept the timeline going perfectly. Great music, everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

she was is so kind and her smile is radiate.
Everyone wanted to know, who she was and what our bands name was.
She was great with deadline reminders, it helped so much since we didn't have a Coordinator.
Her latin fire band! that accordian!
She also let my dad sing as song!

Amazing Band & Terrific Personalities

We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Yelba and the Latin Variety Band as a wedding band! We used them, loved them, and we heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests!

We heard about Yelba and the Latin Variety Band through some internet searches. We liked the sample songs listed on the website, and after reaching out to Yelba, she invited us to watch her perform at an open/public performance - the band was incredible!

Yelba is easy to work with and very responsive. We corresponded with her via email to work through the planning process and our copious questions. We knew we wanted a band which could play both English and Spanish songs, and Yelba and the Latin Variety Band had a wide repertoire of both English and Spanish songs. Since we did want some Spanish songs, Yelba recommended we utilize the 5-piece band including a conga player (i.e., Yelba - vocals/guitar, drummer, keyboards, guitarist/bass, conga player). But Yelba can also replace the conga player with another guitarist if Spanish songs aren't requested.

In addition to the 5-piece band, Yelba was able to provide a sound engineer, a DJ, and a cellist for our cocktail hour. Our cocktail hour guests were pleased with the cellist during the cocktail hour. The included DJ is an added benefit. We had several songs which we wanted to have played by a DJ, so having the flexibility of hearing some great music from a live band and having a DJ available for other requests was phenomenal.

The band is extremely talented and sounds great (in both English and Spanish), and the dance floor was never empty! There was one point when the DJ was trying to play a song, and for some reason, there was feedback on the speakers. The band and sound engineer were trying to diagnose the problem, and Yelba got on stage and said, "Let the band play it!" - and they did a fantastic job!

Professionalism, quality, customer service, and great song selection - Yelba and the Latin Variety Band is the whole package, especially when you compare their cost to other bands! If we need a band for any other function, we will definitely go back to Yelba!

Best Band by Far!!!

In September 2014, in the midst of wedding planning, my now-husband and I fortuitously attended a large charity gala, where Yelba was the featured band. We were blown away. We asked Yelba that night if she was available for our wedding date, and we were thrilled that she was. Our reception was a blast. My sister said that she has never seen a dance floor fill faster. We danced until the very end. We had guests from the US and Latin America, and everyone had a fantastic time. To this day, I still have wedding guests tell me how much fun they had at our reception and always ask for Yelba’s name and contact information.

Having Yelba as your band for any event is the very best decision you can make for the success of the event. In fact, for my husband’s recent birthday party ( for a very important birthday milestone), I reached out to Yelba first. We could not imagine having the celebration without Yelba and her band. Once again, we danced until the very end. Once again, guests told me how much fun they had and asked for Yelba‘s name and contact information.

Simply put, Yelba is the best. She is a joy to work with, and she and the band can do anything: Latin, American rock ‘n’ roll, Bluegrass, Country, R&B, Fifties Music... and everything in between. You will be so thrilled to have Yelba at your reception!

Fantastic Band!

I have the pleasure to have Yelba's Variety Band and Latin Fire for my 50th Birthday and they were amazing!
I recommend her band anytime to anyone looking for a diversity style band: contemporary, romantic, country, pop, Latin, you name it, they play it all and they play it well!
Mine was a cocktail party and the entire band was dressed accordingly with the party colors. I’ve been in multiple events with her and always, always have a blast, thanks Yelba!!

Wedding music excellent

I met Yelba’s music at the Omni’s New Year event. I was very impressed with her style presentation that I wanted her band to perform at my wedding in May, 2019. I didn’t know if I could afford it but Yelba made it possible n affordable for my special event. I’ll recommend her band anytime to anyone looking for a quality band. Yelba's Variety Band and "Latin Fire" were simply amazing! Our Peruvian American wedding was a huge success! They played a variety of Latin American music, including traditional Peruvian music, as well as American country, pop, and oldies! Our dance floor was always packed, juts like we wanted! They also did a great MC job presenting the bride, groom and wedding party, announcing the dances, entertaining the audience, and keeping the event moving.

Yelba provided an extensive list of all of the songs her band covers and was in communication from day one & always patient with our changes as far as special dances. I even requested a song she didn't cover for my first dance, and not only did she learn it, but played it acoustically and to a tempo in line with the foxy steps we learned. She even sent us a video recording on YouTube so that we could practice our dance before the wedding.

Yelba exceeded our expectations for our daughter's wedding in Austin. She helped us out with a cocktail hour piano player and played for 4 hours during the reception. Our daughter was thinking of changing the bridal dance the week before the wedding. Yelba sent her a personal U-Tube video of song options on Christmas Eve morning!!! This was so helpful & totally unexpected. Guests at the wedding commented on Yelba's diversity in musical styles--country to ballroom to contemporary to Latin--they do it all, and play it all well! This was a semi formal wedding and not only was the band dressed well they even wore the wedding colors!! We can't wait to have another event so can have Yelba play again!

yelba and her band were amazing. They play all styles of music including Latin (and play them all extremely well I might add). With our diverse crowd we could not have picked a better entertainer and band. We will definitely be using Yelba for all of our company functions.

I can't say enough good things about Yelba and her band!! From the very beginning she was totally professional, kind, anxious to please, warm and excited. She sang a Nora Jones song as I walked down the aisle toward my soon to be husband. Her voice was like that of an angel. I'll never forget how beautifully she sang and what an important part she played on such a special day in our lives. She also performed with her band for our reception. So many of our guests commented on how great they sounded and even asked for their contact information so they could hire them for future events. She can perform any genre and sound as good (and often times better) than the original artist. Wedding planning can be stressful, but hiring Yelba and her band was the easiest and most stress free part of our entire planning process. I'll never think about our wonderful wedding day without remembering Yelba's amazing talent. She and her band are most definitely a class act.

Yelba was amazing!! Our wedding reception was incredible and so much fun. They interacted with the guests and knew how to keep the dance floor packed at all times. I absolutely made the best decision in choosing them for our wedding.

Yelba and her team performed a special, surprise song at my friend's wedding as a gift from the bride to the groom. It was a wonderful addition to the ceremony and a true treat to the wedding couple and guests. Yelba was very enthusiastic about ensuring the surprise was carried out well, and performed the song beautifully.

I would recommend Yelba and team for anyone wanting a talented, fun, and flexible group to enhance their wedding festivities.

We hired Yelbs for a Charity Event & had the best Gala so far. The band & DJ played a variety of music & got people out on the dance floor.

They were very professional & would definitely hire them again.

Yelba was absolutely wonderful. Fantastic mix of Latin and traditional rock n roll. Taught us Latin dance moves. Evening can best be encapsulated by her getting my ex-boss on the dance floor, as his wife turned to me and said "you know, he didn't even dance with me at our wedding!"

My wife and myself first saw Yelba's Band playing in a restaurant in The Woodlands, Texas where it was a hit; people there loved it. So, this year we asked her to play in our daughter's wedding in Houston and she accepted. This was about 6 months before the wedding but she stayed in touch, asking for the wedding schedule, the songs we would prefer and especially, since the guests were both, English and Spanish speakers, what percentage of the music we'd prefer in each language. The band was in time for the wedding party, the music was super, beginning with the lovely introductory dance of the father-bride and then the rest of that beautiful and enjoyable music that kept us dancing all night. People of all ages were dancing and enjoying it, and Yelba sings amazing in both languages and mingles with the people too. I will definitively hire this band for all our next events and will tell everybody to do it.

YELBA IS FABULOUS.. High energy, she sings, dances and encourages group participation. Willing to personalize songs at your request. Better known in the Woodlands area, Houston you need to wake up, you are surely missing out.

The band had an outstanding performance, they were able to bring all the party to the dance floor with their great attitude and entertainment. The wedding song was played live and Yelba definitely has a great voice! We were really pleased with them. Great communication and professional. The attire was coordinated with our wedding colors.

Our guests commented about how fun the party was for months after and Yelba was a big part of making it a fun night. She read the crowd well and gave them what they wanted. She kept the dance floor packed all night long.

Yelba and her musicians were absolutely fantastic! They made the party. We celebrated my husband's 50th in my house. Yelba and team made the right atmosphere and got the party swinging. Yelba was very attentive to my many requests and had many great suggestions on how to create a party theme and to get the many guests get on the floor to dance. I fully recommend her! Her voice is great, the music is wonderful and she is just a dream to work with. Call me any time if you like to learn more.

I'm providing this review from the perspective of the event honoree. Yelba and her band performed at a corporate retirement event arranged by my wife and coworkers for me.
Today, 4 years later I still vividly recall their amazing performance. Beginning from the fact that their participation was a surprise, requiring the band and the equipment remain hidden until the appropriate time. Followed by music specifically chosen for my pleasure, Yelba was able to get the normally staid corporate audience engaged, dancing and thoroughly entertained. Her energy is very contagious. The final touch was provided by her guidance and encouragement for me to sing, which I rarely do in public. From beginning to end it was an unforgettable afternoon.
Yelba is able to provide a broad variety of music from slow and easy to energetic "got to get up and dance" stuff something I have witnessed in a multitude of her public appearances since my retirement.
I would not hesitate to highly recommend Yelba and her band for any type of event requiring a musical environment.

Yelba was very easy to work with throughout the process. While we settled on a "playlist" she was flexible with requests during the event. In addition her DJ kept the crowd going during the band's break.

The Woodlands Dance Club has had the pleasure of using Yelba's Variety Band over the past several years. They ALWAYS deliver! Professional, wide range of great songs-Yelba never fails to inspire the crowd with her amazing voice! Her beauty and class are a bonus. One of the best bands out there-hands down best variety band! I have used Yelba's variety band for several business and personal events over the past 7-8 years. The band always fits the occasion, they are professional and always an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Yelba's variety band for any type of event.

Amazing,Amazing,Amazing! The band provide the music, atmosphere, and a show! They also had music for the breaks. All kinds of music Spanish too. They will always perform at our parties. This was the best party we have ever had!

What a great PROFESSIONAL group. So easy to work with and such a pleasure to listen to. We enjoyed the entire evening completely. Yelba is a very versitile singer and the ultimate performer. She is very versatile and the band is very good. They also know how to create a great party atmosphere! The repertoire was fantastic and we were able to please the various guests that we had from all over the world. My daughter and her husband were very happy and I can't wait to have a chance to request their services again. Highly recommended.

Yelba and her band were amazing. They were great to work with, accommodated our needs, and played excellent music and kept the crowd going all night long. Yelba is a class act. She's an absolute professional and knows how to get the crowd into and keep the party going. We selected Yelba and her band in part because we have seen them live on numerous occasions. They always put on a great show!

Yelba knew exactly what to play and when. Through dinner the music was enjoyable and afterwards she played music to get everyone on the dancefloor including my 90yr. old grandfather. Everyone complimented her singing and band and on how much fun they all had.

i worked with Yelba on a wedding performance this year. She was professional, fun, lively, on time, and responsible in rehearsals and planning. She is one of the premier performers with her group of musicians she uses in any event she is hired to do. I would reccomend her for any event either as a performer or as an employer for entertainers for an event.
