  Yasmin Khajavi is seriously awesome. A beyond talented wedding photographer. And a fabulous person to have by your side. She is full of enthusiasm and energy throughout the entire wedding day, which is completely contagious. Her approach is what I would describe as photojournalism - one where she takes these amazing artistic, emotional shots that tell a beautiful story, capturing the essence of every important moment. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people, but Yasmin completely brought it out of us, making us and the entire wedding party feel so comfortable. I would describe Yasmin as brilliantly creative and an outside-of-the-box thinker, which all comes through in her photography. Sure you want the classic wedding shots, but you also want the unique and personal shots too. Yasmin was all smiles and no stress every step of the way, whether it was hour 1 or hour 7. She in unbelievably patient and kind. For example, when our ring bearer had a meltdown, she talked him through it and made him laugh so he looked adorable in the photos. Also, I have a big family, all who needed to be pulled together for one big family photo and she organized it perfectly, corralling everyone, while making them laugh and feel at ease. The ideal combination of professionalism and friendliness. I had several people ask for her contact information after the wedding. Throughout the ceremony and evening festivities she worked the crowd without be distracting or drawing attention. From a logistics perspective, she is organized, responsive, and her turn around time on giving you photos is impeccable. The variety of price points she offers makes it easy to fit into most budgets and the quality you get is well beyond what she charges. She is worth every penny and and more. The Skype planning sessions we had leading up to the wedding were extremely helpful. She asked all the right questions, plus gave us advice on organization and timing of photos. I would recommend her to anyone!

  I can't say enough great things about Yasmin! If I could give her 6 stars out of 5, I would! From the moment we locked her in (a year in advance 'cause we're crazy), she just went above and beyond. She was always extremely timely in her responses to our (many) questions, really relaxed and low-key throughout the process, and super mellow during what most consider a very stressful time. On the big day, she made it easy on us, made us look fantastic, and was barely noticeable, which in my mind, is the mark of a top-notch photographer.
  
  I have every intention of coming back to Yasmin for years to come...baby photos? Yes, please!

  My husband and I had a private destination wedding in May, but held a reception back at home in July that we needed a photographer for. Yasmin was recommended to us by Bridal Bliss, and we couldn't have been happier to find her. She photographed both our engagement session and July Reception, and the photos turned out fantastic! As my husband and I did not have much experience with the wedding photography process, Yasmin was extremely helpful in navigating us- from choosing a location for our engagement photos, to helping us to find the style/vibe we wanted in our photos. She was flexible to our schedule and always maintained communication consistently with us. Along with being professional, she has a fun, upbeat and positive energy that was a pleasure to work with and be around. My friends and family loved her and had nothing but nice things to say on the day of our event! We had a wonderful experience with her and would recommend her to anyone!

  Yasmin was so incredible to work with, from the moment we visited her website, we know we wanted her to shoot our wedding. My husband and I loved how easy going and relaxed Yasmin was throughout the entire process- it definetly made our wedding planning that much easier. Yasmin's attention to detail, eye to capture candid and special moments made all our photographs so special. We highly recommend Yasmin for your photography needs!

  Yasmin's work is absolutely outstanding! Her personality is very sweet and warm making the whole business part of it super easy and the wedding day photos feel comfortable. On the wedding day she made things happen for us that we were not able to do ourselves (ex.getting us into a restaurant to take pictures when they told us no). She did research for possible locations and was completely prepared for anything. She let us use our ideas and worked it with her creativity to make our pictures amazing. Yasmin was super patient with me and especially patient through family photo time! She rolls with the punches of the day, never stops clicking away, hold true to her word, and gives you timeless photos in the end. The pictures are the one thing that lasts of the day and Yasmin was the perfect pick for us!

  Yasmin is a photography genius!!

  Yasmin is the sweetest person in the whole world and I couldn't be more happy about choosing her as our wedding photographer! She made us feel so comfortable and our pictures turned out AMAZING. The day after my wedding I found out about a bustle mishap on my dress. I was so mortified and I cried the whole next day figuring all of my first dance and father-daughter dance photos would be ruined and those would be all I had to share with family and friends that weren't able to attend. Unbeknownst to me, my sister asked Yasmin if she would be able to fix them and Yasmin, being the photo editing wizard that she is, completely salvaged the photos of those special moments during my wedding. I can't imagine how much extra time it took her to carefully edit those photos to make sure my dress looked how I wanted it to and I thought that was going way above and beyond what was expected of her. I truly can't thank Yasmin enough for all of her wonderful work. Everyone was obsessed with her and with all the final photos turned out so good!! We got married at the World Forestry Center in Portland, Or and she knew all the most perfect spots up there to take photos. She is an absolute professional and I can't recommend her highly enough!!

  The Best Wedding Photographer in Portland

  When we first met Yasmin, we were taken by her eyes, her warmth, and we’d be remiss to not mention her white sweater with a knit flower stitched into! She imbued such love and positive energy into our first conversation, we left our consultation with her saying, “She will make our families want to smile.”
  So naturally, when the date arrived, we were more than thrilled to have Yasmin and her team capture the intimate moments--the first look, the drive to the reception, some kissy shots on the street, and then delighted to have her at the helm, getting all of our neurotic relatives to compose themselves for the group shots. Her work does speak for itself: It’s gorgeous when it is staged, and it is thrillingly alive when it’s candid. And also gorgeous when candid, and thrillingly alive when staged.
  But Yasmin Khalani shoots with love. And as we have flipped through the photos of that special day, we are so grateful for Yasmin’s her craft, talent, and guidance during our wedding day.
  What’s more--as invisible as she was as our photographer, her enthusiasm made it feel like she was just another one of our close friends, snapping a shot at our party.
  It’s a special thing when you can look back at your wedding album and smile, not just because the pictures are gorgeous, and your happy to spend the rest of your life with your partner, but because you know this pictures of love, were taken with love.
  We cannot recommend Yasmin Khalani more, and also, we highly recommend her sweater choice.

  Yasmin is amazing! You will not go wrong working with her! From the start, she kept the lines of communication open and worked with us to help get the wedding day scheduled and organized. She took all of our ideas, plus added in her own suggestions based on experience. She has a great vision for her photos, and throughout the day it calming to have Yas directing us, the bridal party and the family members. During the wedding, it seemed like Yasmin was everywhere! The pictures we have prove that she worked tirelessly to capture virtually all of our guests and all the important moments.
  After the wedding, Yasmin surprised us by how quickly she sent us a sneak peak of our photos and shortly after a huge collection of shots from the entire event. The final photos were so perfect. They were creative, well-edited and really captured the emotions from the day. We couldn't be happier to have these images for ourselves and to share with friends and family.
  We had so many people tell us throughout the wedding night and afterwards how amazing our photographer was. We absolutely agree and are so grateful for all the memories she captured for us!

  Yasmin was so wonderful to work with! She really took the time to sit down with us and go over all of the details for everything we were imagining prior to the wedding day. The day of the wedding she was prompt and kept everything running smoothly!
  She took every photo on our shot list and captured many moments we would have never thought to tell her ourselves.
  She was awesome in coordinating all of our family members to be in the right place and the right time, and totally took the stress off of us on the big day!
  Her photos turned out beautifully and we get tons of compliments that the really capture the fun of the night!

  Yasmin is amazing! She photographed our wedding and the photos turned out beautifully. Not only are the photos wonderful, but Yasmin is so great to work with. So many of our family and wedding guests remarked how delightful she was and how awesome our photos are. Highly recommend Yasmin! :)

  Yasmin truly has a gift for imagery and a remarkable way of making everyday items look like works of art! I’ve known her for many years and love her bubbly, ambitious, professional demeanor. Deciding to work with her was the easiest and very best wedding decision my husband and I made!
  
  We didn’t have a wedding day coordinator and Yasmin helped us develop a day of schedule and stick to it. She captured all the big and little things (many DIY details), guided us through posed shots, took candid shots discreetly, and kept everyone at our wedding on track to get the group shots we wanted.
  
  Yasmin’s energy and laughter is contagious and ALL of our guests fell in love with her! Four of our guests have already hired her for their wedding and many more plan on hiring her to capture special events in their lives. I can’t recommend her highly enough or thank her enough for so beautifully capturing the spirit of our wedding weekend!

  My husband and I hired Yasmin for our wedding in June, and she was a highlight of our wedding! Her communication was amazing, she continually offered help with anything we needed, even offering to answer questions much outside the realm of photography! Day of, she was able to kindly but firmly wrangle our large families so that we could get our family photos done quickly, which we really appreciated! Not to mention the moments she captured are exactly what we wanted!

  Yasmin is truly amazing at what she does! From our first meeting her friendly personality and eye for capturing all the special wedding moments made her an easy choice for our wedding photographer. Yasmin is so easy to work with; she was very open to incorporating our ideas and also giving us her suggestions based on her expertise.
  Yasmin took our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we were so happy with the outcome of both. Every part of our day was captured with such detail and she caught so many special moments that we would have otherwise missed in the business of the day. We received a sneak peek within a week and the entire album shortly after that, wow were they amazing! We loved our photos so much we had Yasmin create a wedding album, which to no surprise, was perfect!

  Yasmin was so easy-going and lovely to work with! She was very helpful when I was booking vendors out-of-state and set-up a facetime chat with me to go over everything and sent me different options. There is a lot of flexibility within her photo packages so you can adjust them fit exactly what you need. We decided to add a second shooter and I think it was a very good investment! Pleasure to work with on the day of and she didn't get flustered when family members kept wandering off during the posed photos. Have gotten the sneak peek pics so far and they are fantastic, cannot wait to see the rest!

  Best photographer ever

  Yasmin has been the photographer for two of my children's weddings. She is absolutely fantastic. She is organized, fun, exceeds every expectation, and produces breathtaking photos. She is not only the best photographer, she is the best of all the people we worked with on our weddings. If you want the best experience and best photos, Yasmin is the choice!

  Being a wedding planner, picking our vendors was one of the most difficult parts to planning our wedding! When it came to choosing a photographer, we knew we wanted someone who would take phenomenal photos, but that didn't really narrow our search. What was also at the top of our list was having someone we knew would not only make us, but our wedding party and families feel relaxed and enjoy the day! Yasmin's passionate, bubbly, yet professional, energetic, yet calming attitude was what made choosing her to photograph our wedding day easy! From spending hours running around the Pearl for our engagement session in the freezing cold, to organizing our families- 12 adults, 2 kids and crazy lab puppy- for a family photo shoot, to making me feel beautiful and like I wasn't crazy during my boudoir shoot when I thought it had to have been 110 degrees, to helping us feel relaxed and at ease on our wedding day- she was amazing! We were not only extremely impressed by her attitude and ease to work with, but the overall product we received for our engagement session, family session, boudoir session and wedding day!!!

  Yasmin was very personable and professional in her preparation, planning, and follow through! We were able to meet prior to making any final decisions and went over goals and expectations for what both she and we were looking for in a photographer/client transaction but it never felt like a formal, stressful situation!
  
  Yasmine's personality was very warm and inviting with our family and guests and she was very unobtrusive in her creativity with both personal candid, spontaneous, and set photographs.
  
  I'm very pleased with the outcome of our wedding photos and the flexibility in the options when we purchased!

  Literally perfect

  Yasmin was absolutely incredible! She photographed our wedding, and every single person commented on how pleasant, professional, and amazing she was. She has such a great eye for detail — if one strand of hair was out of place, she’d fix it right away. It’s like she instinctively knew how to make every shot perfect.
  
  Beyond her talent, Yasmin made us feel amazing. She brought so much positive energy and made us feel on top of the world on our special day. She knew exactly which angles and locations had the best lighting, and she captured every moment beautifully.
  
  She even sent us a sneak peek of our wedding photos just a few days after the event — such a thoughtful touch that meant so much to us. Yasmin truly went above and beyond to showcase our day in the most stunning way possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!!

  We could not have been happier working with Yasmin and the photography she produced for our engagement and wedding photos! She was more than excited to find out what we wanted and wasn't pushy at all, what a relief! Her professional and fun, down to earth personality made it so easy to be ourselves and get the results we wanted. You can really tell she loves what she does and is so good at it, just look at her blog! We decided early on that the photography for our wedding was a very important choose since it would always remind us of our special day.   Yasmin was such a delight to work with. She was attentive to my needs and requests and never once tried to change my mind about what I wanted for our photographs. I met with a lot of photographers who tried to do that, so for her to be so open was huge for me. She is also a sweet and lovely person which made the experience of working with her that much more delightful. We are so excited about our wedding photos!

  My husband and I were usually at opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to wedding planning, but we both felt that picking the right photographer was critical. We interviewed several photographers and Yasmin Khajavi stood out like a shining star!
  
  We felt instantly connected to her warm and inviting personality. She also happened to be from my hometown! Her photography work speaks for itself. Her focus is always on the people, yet has an amazing ability to capture the moments in an artistic way. Her photos truly capture the essence of the day - a couple in love, surrounded by so much love. She kept us calm the whole wedding day and was so organized - especially during the family photos time with our large families on both sides. All our guests and bridal party commented on how awesome she is. Everyone could tell she was capturing all the moments and we wouldn't have to worry about gaps in our photos. We had so many photos at the end that it's been really difficult selecting which photos go into the final album. Most of all, we love how she always closes her emails using her signature line; "With Care, Yasmin."
  
  We know we have found a LIFELONG vendor with Yasmin. We can't wait to use her for many of our future life events!

  Yasmin was totally the best vendor selection of our entire wedding! From day one she was there to support as a photographer but also as a support during what can be a stressful time. When the Eagle Creek Fire disrupted our engagement picture plans she was quick and flexible to help us get another plan in place. For our wedding, Yasmin was not only a photographer but she also helped us organize the events of the day of the wedding and was great at helping to coordinate during the wedding itself. Whatever we needed she had it handled-- including when we lost the bridal room key more than once and needed makeup for touchups. Somehow she is able to do all of this AND take great photographs of the wedding. With Yasmin you get so much more than a photographer, she's a true dedicated wedding and photography expert in one awesome package!
