My husband and I were married on November 22, 2025 aboard the Yacht StarShip II, and from start to finish, our experience with Yacht StarShip was wonderful.

 We worked with Wendy during the planning process who  was incredibly kind, accommodating, and patient. She took the time to meet with us and speak over the phone on multiple occasions, answered all of our questions, toured us through the ships, and walked us through the contract details thoroughly. We always felt supported and informed.

Leading up to the wedding, our coordinator Eric was amazing. He was organized, detail-oriented, and incredibly thoughtful with his questions, which gave us so much confidence that we were in great hands.

 Our wedding day was even smoother and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Eric and the rest of the staff truly catered to us and guided us through every part of the day—we didn’t have to lift a finger. Months later, our guests still talk about the delicious food, the beauty of the venue, and how well-planned the entire day felt.

 The captain and crew were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the event. A special shout-out to our captain, who graciously gave my grandfather his hat to wear. My grandfather has skin cancer on his head and had forgotten his own hat, and the captain didn’t hesitate to help. My grandfather was absolutely over the moon by this thoughtful gesture.

 We can’t say enough great things and would highly recommend Yacht StarShip to any couple looking for an affordable, beautiful, and seamless wedding experience.

Amazing! The boat, the food and most of all the staff! It was so effortless and enjoyable! 

This was absolutely worth it, from making sure all of my guess stayed together and received all the reservation promptly, the space was beautiful and the service that my guess received was top notch, wendy and Jo made this day memorable, they were so quick to respond, friendly and attentive. Our wedding on Yacht StarShip was perfect! From the very first tour with Wendy during planning to the warm chocolate chip cookies for our guests at the end of our reception - we enjoyed every second!

We brought all of our decor to the rehearsal and the staff did our entire setup, letting us have a stress-free night before the wedding. Everything was exactly as we had pictured it when we showed up on wedding day and we didn’t have to worry about any details!

The captain led a beautiful service, the dining experience was wonderful, food was delicious, and the staff was attentive and fun-loving!

It rained at the beginning of the evening, but the boat was so smooth you’d hardly even know it. Thankfully, the rain stopped just in time for our ceremony—and as if it couldn’t get more magical, we were greeted with a rainbow right before we said our vows. It was absolutely surreal and something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

From the incredible service to the delicious food, to the kind and attentive staff, everything was top-tier. Our guests are still messaging us raving about the food, the views, and how much fun they had.

Starship was the perfect choice for our wedding Eric the coordinator was absolutely amazing. The Staff were wonderful and very attentive to everyone's needs. Their DJ was the life of the party. The view of the skyline of Tampa was breath taking. Highly recommend Starship.

I am so very happy i made the decision to celebrate my union aboard the Yacht. Wendy was my first contact and she really did her thing. She was quick to respond and answered all my questions with no frustrations. The crew on this Yacht, what can I say, they were AWESOME! The food was AWESOME, just omg !!!... like 5stars all around! All i can say is I DEFINITELY recommend.

I had my wedding with Yacht Starship this past weekend and it was a complete fairytale. The entire team was so cooperative and attentive the entire day, so much so that the entire cruise was stress-free for me. I highly recommend them!

We got married on Yacht Starship IV out of Clearwater Beach and our wedding day was absolutely incredible. Everything went so perfect and smooth. Joey, our venue coordinator was phenomenal down to every detail and keeping things running smoothly. We can't thank him enough for taking care of us on our day. The other staff and Dj Pharaoh were also incredible. We have heard from family and friends that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to! We cannot thank them enough for making it so special for us. 

We would definitely recommend The Yacht Starship for your wedding. The wedding coordinator Joey was absolutely fantastic! He made sure everyone was taken care! Starship truly did everything for us and planning was a breeze. A lot of things we didn’t have to worry about and the things they weren’t able to provide like a photographer they had an amazing list of recommendations. We truly want to thank starship and we will definitely be back on their dinner cruises.

If you want a wedding venue, this is it! Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone on staff was incredible, the food is so good and everything was super efficient.

This couldn’t have been better for our rehearsal dinner! The cruise was perfect for our out of state guests. They got to experience being out on the water, and getting to see Tampa. The staff was so wonderful, and Wendy was so prompt and helpful with all of our emails. Couldn’t recommend Yacht Starship enough!

Joey helped us arrange our reception in March 2023 and it was amazing. Our wedding was well organized, the food was great, and all our guests couldn't stop raving about what a great time they had. Would absolutely recommend to anyone considering.

Yacht Starship IV was an absolute DREAM wedding! From the coordinator (Amelia - amazing), staff, food, timing, location.. it was exactly what i had pictured for our wedding! The DJ, captain, coordinator, and staff were so accomodating to everything I asked and made sure we were taken care of. We got married in March with the perfect weather. Ceremony, first dances, and all our reception dancing took place on the top deck - so fun!

Our wedding on the StarShip Yacht Tampa was everything we could have dreamed of. It exceeded our expectations. Our Event Coordinator, Joey, created my vision with the decorations I provided to him. Joey kept us on track with the tight agenda. Everything went so smoothly. The views on the boat were absolute perfection. We loved the ceremony, which was on the top deck. The service was amazing. We all danced the night away and even heard some people say, "This is the best wedding I have been to." I would recommend the StarShip to all brides who love the water, the outdoors, and want to do something different. Note - we did the StarShip 2 and had 110 people.

I can't say enough amazing things about the Yacht Starship! Our gorgeous Yacht was Starship II. We worked with Wendy Odom & Eric Abril both were so accommodating, answered every question and concern with the utmost professionalism! Always helpful !! The wedding went smooth as silk, we were guided every step of the way. Talk about attentive, the entire staff was exceptional! Anything we needed wanted or desired was foreseen by a staff member and delivered before we even asked! We had a sit down dinner for the reception. We chose steak, chicken or salmon everyone said their food was delicious! The DJ was great. The only thing I would have done differently would be to have the DJ announce the photo booth and its location so we may have taken more advantage of it. Otherwise the entire evening couldn't have been more PERFECT! Highly recommend this venue!

The promises made by the sales team were the absolute truth. Great job all around and special Kudos for Coordinator Eric - he rocked. Our wedding was a super success even with the rain.

My daughter and fiancé was married on the Yacht Starship. It was a unique and beautiful venue. Rachel was the wedding coordinator and we appreciated the follow through that she gave every detail from the beginning to end. The ship's crew was so attentive and helpful throughout the night. My wedding was everything my husband and I wanted it to be. Eric, our Yacht Starship Event Coordinator, and his team were amazing before and during the event. He helped with all the little things: glue for my cake topper, helped my bridesmaids with my bussel, asked me questions when he needed my direction during the event, taught us how to slice the cake, and things I am not even aware of. He also kept us on schedule. We were also able to hire vendors to assist my dad up and down the stairs. Food and drink was included in the package. The DJ was spectacular (also included). Yacht Starship is the full package.

Everything about this experience was amazing. From my first communication with Christine, to all of the planning Rachel helped me with over the months leading up to the wedding, her ability to keep me calm with the impending hurricane and the flawless delivery of service the day of the wedding. The staff aboard were all kind and attentive, Captain Dave was the perfect DJ and all of our guests have been raving about the event! Truly a fairytale turned reality. Just incredible!!

Such a magical time! I recently had my wedding on the Yacht Starship II and it was absolutely the best time! Both Cheyanne and Eric were completely helpful with planning the event. Your search is over! Yacht Starship was amazing. There is not one thing I would change in my wedding. The staff enjoy and love what they do and it shows. Everything about my experience with Yacht Starship was great, my wedding was originally scheduled for 4/18/2020 and had to be postponed due to COVID, Cheyanne was helpful and the change in date was easy and quick. Fast forward to my wedding day in august, they upgraded me to the bigger Yacht since it was available and to ensure social distancing. The whole day was amazing from start to finish. Thank you Yacht Starship for giving me the best wedding I could have ever imagined. Thank you to their amazing staff that felt like family by the end of the event. Last but not least thank you Cheyanne for answering my crazy long emails and for making our wedding unforgettable.

How do I even start? I can't thank the Yacht Starship enough for being there for us and helping to guide me during the most stressful time of our lives. Getting married during a global pandemic is so stressful and heart wrenching. Our original wedding date of 3/28 had to get canceled, as that is when lock down started. The team dealt with me emailing and calling multiple times a day leading up to the cancellation given the non stop changing of rules and watching the whole world slide to a stop. My dream wedding that I had planned down to the little details was essentially ruined (in my eyes at the time). We moved our date out 3 months with the guidance from Eric (who was amazing). I was nervous once our 2nd date was approaching, but Eric was so helpful and helpful me off the ledge a few times. Eric and his team brought my vision to life! Our wedding was much smaller than we thought, but every detail was perfect and so glad we went through with the day. Thank you for making our day so special and being such a big part of it. I am forever grateful!

If you aren't a planner this is what you need, they took care of every single detail. The Captain Taylor drove amazing at one point we didn't even know we were moving! The planner Eric was like family he took care of everything even bustled my dress. I look back month later and cant think of one thing that could have been better.

Ok first of all my wedding Cordinator, Eric Abril, was the best! This man got things done, answered all of my crazy questions over a year out, and even day of bustled my dress I mean he did everything for us and I am forever grateful for this man making my day come off without a hitch!
The boat itself was so perfect! Food is always to die for, the DJ, Paul, was fantastic! All the staff was super friendly and ready to help! Highly reccomend this venue, even if just for a dinner cruise one night!

We had our amazing wedding on 9/21/19. We chose Yacht Starship after chatting with Laura at Yacht Starship,she made the decision easy. Then Eric stepped up and took care of us from then. He made sure to have all the bases covered. The week of our wedding when most brides are going crazy we didnt have any worries, thanks to Eric. He was calm and flexible. Our ceremony was beautiful and the Captain did a wonderful job at the ceremony and the other Captain did a great job at helping the photographer get spectacular shots.
The food was delicious. Our guests were well taken care of by the crew.
The DJ was on point the complete cruise.
At the end of the night Eric had us all packed up and they even pack my husband and myself dinners for later.

We got married on the starship yacht I cannot say enough about this venue the food and service was awesome, the DJ which is included was awesome, we were upgraded to a bigger yacht without charge in case of rain or storm I am so happy we chose this venue. The staff was very professional our coordinator kept me calm walked me through the process a few times thank you Jacquelyn Ketner. The staff was great my mom is in a wheelchair our food was served buffet style the staff was very attentive they made my mom and stepdad a plate that was huge for me thank you again.

Our wedding reception was gorgeous! Initially I met with Mrs. Lydia to book and she was so sweet and informative. Eric became my coordinator and he is phenomenal! Everything turned out exactly how I wanted and he and his staff were so flexible and patient with me during the process of planning. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff had the best attitude and customer service. The DJ was extremely open to the unique music we picked and let us plug in our playlists. It was a night I’ll never forget. Definitely book your weddings and/or receptions with them!

Excellent from our first meeting to us leaving the yacht after the wedding. Every detail, all the staff, perfection and most importantly the views and the food! Our Wedding day was one to remember, not only for my husband and I, but for our guests as well. YachStarship's crew assisted us with things we never even thought of (they mailed our wedding license!); neither myself nor my husband had to worry about anything the day of the wedding, 100% enjoyed! We hosted our wedding welcome party on the Yacht StarShip. Everything was perfect. We had an issue with the transportation company that we hired to shuttle guests from the hotel to the ship and the Yacht StarShip was very accommodating to make everything go as smoothly as planned. It was the perfect venue as almost all of our guests were from out of town. We began the planning process with Lydia and Jacqueline handled the event details, both are great!

I cannot stress enough how friendly and amazing the staff is. From the planner and management to the serves and DJ, everything was PERFECT! I had the most magical night of my life. I think it really made it even more special because they were so dedicated to making my vision come to life.

We had a welcome dinner cruise for our guests on the Yacht StarShip. The Yacht StarShip team is amazing. We worked directly with Lydia and Jacqueline. We had an issue with our transportation vendor but the team was so accommodating and made sure everything worked out. We highly recommend booking this venue for an event.

We have had an amazing experience with Yacht Starship. We first met them at the Tampa Wedding Expo a few months ago. They have helped us with booking the best possible wedding for my fiancé and I. We will be on the Starship 4 celebrating the biggest day in our lives. We cannot thank you enough for this experience and making it as simple as possible.

I just got married to my wonderful husband on 08/18/18, on the Starship Yacht IV. From start to finish the wedding went absolutely wonderful. I initially booked with wedding sales manager Lydia S. Who was wonderful. I was then assigned a great coordinator by the name of Amanda who assisted me with all my needs. All of the staff were very curtious and accomondating. My guests were well taken care of at all times. I had nothing but great reviews from all of my guests. I am definately satisfied with everything. Thank you starship yacht!

When you plan a wedding, stress levels are bound to get high. When the wedding is a surprise, as ours was, that stress level can get through the roof. But in the hands of the extremely capable Yacht Starship wedding coordinator (Chris D.) DJ (Will) and the attentive staff, we were stress free and the evening was better than we had imagined.

When we were assigned Chris as our coordinator, we felt we had a parter and planner more than coordinator. She’s attentive, and will help you readily with any questions or weird requests (like not letting the guest know they’re coming to a wedding!).

Other highlights included the food, which frankly was better than we had expected, and of course the gorgeous sunset.

Our only hiccup was that we had the captain perform our ceremony (a $400 upcharge), which we had written. It was clear he had not read through it prior, and there were some obvious missteps on his part. Thankfully, my husband and I knew the vows well, and were able to recover where he fell.

All in all- highly recommended for an intimate wedding with excellent views, and an above average crew! Can’t wait to go back for our one year anniversary!

We had a great time. Staff was great. Chris the wedding coordinator was excellent. It was a fairytale wedding.

We had our wedding on Sensation which is their smaller ship docked in Clearwater. We only had about 25 guests so we didn't fill it up, but everything was amazing! The food, service, and ambience were all perfect. All of our guests absolutely loved the atmosphere and had the best time. I highly recommend them as a venue to any bride. Planning was easy from Texas as it doesn't require much to make the boat look great, and they do all the food, alcohol, etc for you. It even includes the DJ, and they'll set up your decor. They day of the wedding was super smooth and stress free for me.

We booked Starship Yacht and Dining Cruises as our rehearsal dinner venue. Camille was our point of contact and she was absolutely fantastic!! She answered all of my questions and accommodated all of my requests. Even down to last minute guest additions, she was spot on. Our guests raved about this event from everything down to the music and the food! Everything was amazing! Thank you guys for a wonderful evening. The only downfalls to this were that 1. Soda/Tea was not included in the price of guests dinner and once you provide a guest count (over 50 people) you CANNOT come down from that number but you can always add to it. So just make sure that you know that amount of people are coming so you don’t pay for people that wont be there. Honestly tho, that’s minor compared to the amazing experience we had!

We chartered Yacht Starship Sensation for our small (30 guests) wedding. Because of the bride's and groom's schedules, I (MOB) had two months to throw together an elegant wedding on a shoestring budget. My daughter's one request was that the venue have nice scenery, near the water. Nailed it. Starship's wedding coordinator walked me through, step-by-step, respecting my budget and not trying to upsell. We chose the Silver Package, which includes dinner and unlimited beer, wine, juice, and sodas from the bar for all of our guests. Having a no-hard-liquor option saved us $, but still allowed us to offer unlimited free drinks. We added passed hor d'oeurves and a candy buffet. The venue includes white tablecloths and napkins, and we had them add colored table runners and chargers. The carpet and furniture on Sensation just happens to be in my daughter's chosen colors of blue and gold already, so we didn't have to purchase chair covers.
We had a couple of elderly guests who needed assistance, and the crew was friendly and helpful to them (there's no elevator, only steps). The Captain performed an on-deck ceremony. It was at night, and the lighting could've been better for the ceremony, but everyone could see. The Captain was struggling to see to read the vows, though, because of the low lighting. The ceremony music was a little too low, as was the reception-entrance music, though later in the night, during the reception, the music was plenty loud enough in those same areas.
Music was included in the package. The DJ was amazing! We asked him ahead of time to play a couple of hard-to-find songs, and he had them ready. He read the crowd and really kept the party going. Everyone had a blast, said the food was delicious, and enjoyed the smooth yacht ride.
We came in under budget, and not one thing looked "cheap". Recommend.

My advice for any couple deciding on a venue to host an unforgettable wedding with great picture opportunities and friendly, professional staff is to go with Yacht Starship. I got married a couple of weeks ago on Oct. 30th, 2016 out of Clearwater, FL (Yacht Sensation), and everything went beyond expectations. The service we received from Wendy Odom, Amanda Garrison, the DJ and the staff was superb at all times. I'm not sure how many people were on the staff, but our romantic, intimate wedding with 60 guests was well staffed. I was happy, my now husband was happy, our families were happy, and we received from our guests just good compliments about the food, service, music and the yacht as the venue.

My new grandmother (86) even told me it was the most organized wedding she had ever attended, and I barely had to do with it. Amanda did everything; I just responded to the checklist items to share my food and music selection beforehand. She also answered many questions and provided the advice I was seeking to make decisions about the dinner seating and arrangement of tables (this could be tricky).

I especially recommend the StarShip team if you are planning a wedding remotely and on budget. My wedding package include all the food catering (except the wedding cake), dinnerware and linens, beverages, premium open bar, the wedding coordinator, the DJ and the service staff. Amanda was my wedding coordinator, so I'm extremely grateful for her dedication and responsiveness when I had questions. I owe her my wedding as I was planning everything remotely from Phoenix, AZ and wasn't able to make a trip to Florida to taste the food or see the venue in person before the actual wedding day!

The DJ was phenomenal, not only playing the music but also making the announcements on our wedding timeline and entertaining our guests throughout the night. My now husband and I were very impressed by the entire service on our wedding day; we highly recommend this great experience.

DO NOT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE! THIS IS IT! This was the most fabulous, amazing, wonderful venue for a wedding reception EVER!!!! Eric Abril, & the staff of Yacht Sensation, were unbelievable! There was not one thing that could have been improved! There are no words to describe how happy I was, that I chose this company, to work with. They made everything easy, helped with every detail, & were so pleasant, during the entire ordeal. The DJ ROCKED! Every guest commented on how beautiful the boat was, how tasty the food was, the amazing crew, & on & on! Could not be happier, with my choice!

We had our wedding reception for about 40 people on the Yacht Sensation. Everything was perfect! Brooklyn our wedding coordinator was amazing to work with and made everything a breeze! She was very responsive to all my questions and needs and the evening turned out exactly as I envisioned. Thank you so much for making my reception all that I wanted!

My husband and I were married aboard the Starship II, April 5, 2014. The Starship staff was nothing but amazing to us the entire time, from the very beginning of the process! Eric, our day of coordinator was great, answered all of my questions and helped make sure our day went perfectly. The day of the wedding I forgot the cake topper and the Starship staff basically last minute decorated our cake with some left over flowers and it looked beautiful! From the moment I stepped on board my mind was at ease and everything flowed PERFECTLY! The Starship II looked beautiful, the food and drinks were awesome, and the view was perfect.... We only wish it would have lasted longer. Our guest still talk about how amazing and unique our wedding was...

Booked our wedding on the yacht sensation which is their newest boat. We wanted something outside the typical venue and this definitely does it! We're having the captain marry us then sail off in the sunset and full sit down dinner with dj included! They have been very helpful and responsive especially being that I don't live in Florida. We can't wait for our wedding!

Our wedding is planned for Oct 18, 2014 on the Yacht Starship II. I couldnt be happier with our choice. Our wedding coordinator Eric is very understanding to what we want and how things ned to be done. The staff is amazing !!

We absolutely loved our wedding!!! Everything was perfect!! Eric and Rachel were fabulous and made everything so simple. We pretty much showed up and they did everything else. The rehearsal was a breeze and the ceremony was absolutely beautiful, we've had so many complements on how beautiful and unique it was!! The reception was beautiful and the food was fantastic! The servers were very professional and helpful, all our guests had an amazing time. Our only complaint was it wasn't long enough!! Lol!! No one was ready to leave!! :)

My Husband and I were very pleased with our venue on the Yacht StarShip. The professionalism and quality were on point with the entire crew. We were able to have more guest on the yacht than at a hotel in the area.

Overall, the experience was far greater than any hotel.

We did our research in the Clearwater area to provide our closest friends and family with an amazing evening to share with us on our wedding day. Starship II was absolutely incredible and far exceeded our expectations. The food, the service, the sunset ceremony in the Gulf of Mexico was a once in a lifetime experience. The wedding pictures we got back look fake the scenery was so stunning. Our friends and family all had a blast and it was very easy to have the dinner, ceremony, party reception all in one spot. TOP NOTCH.....

Eric @ Yacht Starship was VERY helpful through my wedding planning process. Eric's attitude was calm and refreshing which helped me feel relaxed and confident about the planning and finishing touches for my wedding. He kept me informed every step of the way and made coordinating the florest, photographer and cake arrival completly painless! The price was a little high but, the food and service they provided helped make my wedding day amazing for myself and my guests! The Captain sailed us out a little ways and performed the ceremony at sunset. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, memorable experience!

The entire experience we received from the Yacht Starship was 5 Star all the way from beginning to end. Our friends and family are still raving that it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Eric was our wedding planner and he was phenomenal! If I would have changed anything I would say in hind sight to get married somewhere else or on the dry dock and save all your reception time for the boat. The food was incredible...I can say it was the best salmon that I have ever had in my life. You must check them out if you are getting married.

I loved everything about my wedding on the Yacht StarShip! The ceremony was beautiful, and on the top deck of the boat. The wedding coordinator and staff were superb and attentive to every detail. I love their all-inclusive package - the food, linens, and DJ were all wonderful. There was not one thing I would have done differently. Everyone had such a wonderful time dancing, eating, and looking at the beautiful scenery. Many of my guests plan to go back on a regular dinner cruise since they enjoyed it so much.

I am so happy that we decided to have our wedding aboard Yacht Starship. Our wedding was PERFECT! More amazing than I ever could have imagined. All of our guests were very impressed (4 of them have already booked ohter events on board). Everyone had a great time, the ceremony was beautiful, the food was awesome and the DJ and dancing was so much fun. It was the best wedding day and I thank the Yacht Starship staff for making my day the best!

The Starship made our wedding unique and unforgettable. It was an amazing experience. The attention to detail and willing to go the extra mile was outstanding.

We wanted a unique wedding venue where everything was in one place. The Yacht Sensation was the perfect choice for us. Leaving out of Clearwater was beautiful. (Be warned that parking at the marina was tough to find but that was not the company's fault). Our wedding planner Brooklyn did a phenomenal job at making sure that everything went just the way we wanted it. She was even able to make last minute accommodations that we wanted happen. We had the captain marry us, which was a neat touch. We chose to do buffet style serving pork, salmon, chicken, pasta and salad. Everyone was raving about how good the food and how big the portions were. They were even able to make a gluten free dish for my nana. We had 55 guests and there was plenty of space for everyone to get around. The DJ was included with the boat. The only complaint I had was that I provided a music playlist and not much of the songs were played, but we still danced and had fun anyway. It was nice to get on the boat and enjoy our ceremony and reception all in one place. I would definitely recommend this venue!

It was a perfect wedding! All contacts were prompt with replying back to me, there was lots of help, and flexible with what I wanted. The only downside was the time...4 hours for boarding, ceremony, and reception was not enough for us -- I didnt get more than 2 bites of the delicious food and cake, and we only got about 25 minutes to dance.

We had our wedding on the Yacht Starship and it was amazing! The staff was very helpful, friendly and I must say they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Working with Eric was great as well as he assisted and was always available. We docked from Tampa but they allowed us to get on in St Pete due to a morning ceremony they had in the area so we would have plenty of time to decorate and have everything ready before the guests boarded. The food was very good, and since our wedding we have cruised just for the dinner. The DJ played great music all night long and all our guest raved on and on about our Special Day! I highly recommend to any future Brides and Thanks again to the staff!

We had a small ceremony on the ship prior to a regularly scheduled lunch cruise. It was beautiful, and many other people on the ship offered to take photos if they caught us alone out on the water or near dock. It was very intimate. If we had more time, I would have definately booked the entire ship for a larger wedding.

From start to finish our experience with Yacht Starship was a great experience.
Chris and Eric were professional and extremely knowledgeable. Our wedding was in the middle of hurricane season, but they put us at ease and had everything running smoothly. Our friends and family were highly impressed with the venue , the food , the music & service. It was a picture perfect day on the water & everyone had a great experience. My husband & I ran a Bed & Breakfast for many years & held hundreds of weddings , parties & events, so we know what it takes to accommodate Brides & Guests. Had my wedding aboard starship sensation had a great experience but advise booking a private event if you don't want over crowding!

I had a destination wedding, and I wanted to have an elegant but stress free wedding. The Yacht Starship included the Ceremony and decorations, food, beverages and DJ. They also provided a list of reasonable and good venders for whatever wasn’t included in their packages. Eric, their events planner made sure that everything ran smoothly. On the day of my wedding, I didn’t have to think about anything except for enjoying myself. The food was wonderful and it was defiantly original. The best thing of all is I had an elegant wedding, that was fun, original and LOW STRESS!!!!!

We had to boat moved to John’s Pass so that we could have a boat wedding as well as our guest could be walking distance from the venue and the beach. Though, it was expensive to move the boat, it was worth it. The intracoastal views were precious. I checked out other boats wedding venues in the area and they were not high quality. Even though I had to pay more to move the boat, I still would not recommend the other venders. They didn’t seem like they would be neither reliable nor helpful during the wedding planning process.

The only complaint that I have was the music. My now husband is from Spain. They do not dance Salsa in Spain. He had a list of music that he wanted played at the wedding. At the beginning they were not playing songs from our list, and a lot of it was Salsa. Finally Toni had to instruct the DJ to play the songs from his list. Though, it was a minor thing, and to be honest the guest loved the music that the DJ was playing. Probably better than our music. Though, if music is important to you I recommend clarifying that with Eric and the DJ.

All and all, I can truly say that my wedding was the best wedding I have ever been to. If I had it to all over again, I would definably do it again with Yacht Starship.

It definitely is nice having the ceremony and reception at one spot. Eric, the wedding coordinator was great and answered all of my questions. I felt the price per person was a little high but we did get good service. We chose the buffet for 60 guests and there were plenty of food left over. The food tasted great. I used the DJ that the boat provided and he also did a good job. I would recommend the Yacht Starship to anyone. Time does go by fast as it is only a 3 1/2 hour ceremony and reception.

We celebrated our engagement on the Starship. It was nice having everyone together and beautiful scenery. The food wasn't all the great though. I recommend it for out of town guests.

It is good for small weddings, They provide the food and dessert and it was really good!

We had such a perfect wedding day! Joey and his team did an amazing job and we couldn’t have asked for a smoother time on board. That said there were a few issues we ran into during planning: For one the listed capacity of 150 people is not accurate, after we booked they let us know we could have 118 max. This caused plenty of heartache, and we ended up with 108 guests which at times still felt tight. They’re also not afraid to let you know how busy they are (response times were not amazing, unless you have a payment due soon 😂) which made me feel very low priority at times. They are an event factory for better or worse! Lastly our boarding time/setup time changed a few times: we originally had an hour to board and place final touches, then it went down to 30 minutes, then the day before our wedding we were told that there were multiple cruise ships leaving at the same time as us. We had to alert all of our guests to come earlier than planned and we ended up only having 20 minutes to settle before guests could board. None of these things really ended up being an issue but wanted to note!
The DJ kept everyone energized, the food was amazing, and all of our guests had a total blast. Even the sun was in the perfect spot for the ceremony, thank you Captain! I’d do it all again in a heartbeat if I could, you won’t regret having a starship wedding!

Really a great job for being all inclusive, did cut us some deals. Make sure to negiotiate a flat rate for alcohol consumption if you buy the extra hour!

I was happy with the Chef and his staff, Captain Gregg and our mãtre d Christine. My husband, wedding party,close friends and I were stunning!

Our wedding was great even though the food was not right. They said they would fix it but will not. I talked to the owner and he said to bad.
But the big problem is that when on the boat, my mother Inlaw Purse Had money taken from it. The purse was down stairs

I got married at the end of December of 2023, and it has taken me until the end of March of 2024 to be able to sit down and write a review because of how upset I still am. I had always dreamed of being married on a boat, and when I discovered this vendor, I was so excited. Of course, the sales member assigned to me gave me a great tour, talked up their venue by letting me know how so many things were already included in the price, therefore saving me some time having to coordinate finding other vendors like a DJ and Caterer. They'd also assured me that when I found my cake vendor I would just let the coordinator know and they take care of delivery and such so I wouldn't have to worry about that either. I looked at their reviews and they had great ones, so I made my decision. Fast forward to roughly three months out, I heard from our Coordinator for the first time (as was mentioned to us), and spoke on the phone about what the day may look like, and some things to be expecting in the coming months including a tentative rehearsal day/time. A month later, I reached out to our coordinator with some questions, including if we could extend our sailing time and the additional fee that would need to be paid for this, and it was a week later when I was finally responded to which should have been the first red flag.

Fast forward to one month out and I found it weird that I had not heard from our coordinator to touch base, check in, or get an update from us regarding RSVP counts, menu items, point of contacts, etc. but I trusted in what I believed was a business that does this all the time and they knew what they were doing. My next communication from our coordinator was two weeks out from our day and I received a bulk of emails, including a timeline for our day-of which, frustratingly enough, had the wrong disembark time which we had already communicated a month ago via email needed to change. We also were finally told our Rehearsal time, and then I informed them of a change to the RSVP count (more on that at the end). I made some adjustments to the timeline on my end and asked some more follow up questions about what the Rehearsal included, asking our coordinator to let me know she’d received everything and if there were any specific deadlines to keep in mind.

I DID NOT HEAR FROM OUR COORDINATOR AGAIN UNTIL 1 HOUR BEFORE OUR REHEARSAL THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING.

I was on the road (it was pouring rain) and driving to a rehearsal that I hoped would still be on because I hadn’t heard from our coordinator otherwise, and I received a call from her while on the road heading to the ship. I thought she would at least be calling to assure us the weather wouldn’t stop the rehearsal…but instead, to my increasing stress, she was calling to say she needed a final check to include the new RSVP count I had sent TWO WEEKS AGO, and she needed it before we boarded the ship today for the Rehearsal at 11am.

To provide context here, this particular venue (and it might be common) said at the very beginning when we started making payments twelve months out, that we would be asked to pay on a specific number of guests and moving forward, the number could go up, but not down, meaning, no refunds would be given if we overshot. However, the sales team informed us if we did end up having more guests than we had quoted, we’d be billed a final amount owed afterwards - which I did assume to mean after our wedding day. Long story short, we had focused on a “family-only” wedding day and conservatively paid for a wedding of 75 people, but about a month out, we had overshot by thirty people and had, up to this point, paid in full for 75. Money aside, my husband and I had originally decided “family only” because there was a guest count restriction and we couldn’t initially invite everyone we truly wanted to without risking going over. However, after such a decrease in numbers, we decided to extend our invites to more family friends that we wanted to attend, knowing now even if everyone showed up, we’d still be under the guest count, and just pay the difference on the final bill.

That’s where, two weeks leading up to our wedding day, I emailed our coordinator and let her know of the guest count change, and that’s where…on the morning before our wedding day, she decides now is the best time to tell me we need to pay the difference..and not after our wedding day, IN AN HOUR. Now, it’s not that we didn’t have the money to make a payment, but we didn’t have the money accessible to make the payment that fast. When we arrived at the ship, it was clear that this was our coordinator’s priority and I informed her of the situation we were in and needed time to move the funds - but given our payment history, we hoped she’d know we were good for it. We were told not to worry and we proceeded with the rehearsal which was an extremely quick run through to which the coordinator did not confirm walkout songs, the welcome drinks, or anything else with me such as confirming the day-of timeline. I dropped off the decor at this time as per our instructions and had organized everything with labels and separate boxes for guest tables, altar, cake table, gift table, sweetheart table, etc and gave instructions about how I wanted everything set out (including turning on the fairy lights in the centerpieces). She thanked me for being so organized and making it easy for her, and then told me she needs the guest list with names printed out for check in, and the names of the bridal party and groom party WHICH WERE JUST AT THE REHEARSAL. I told her I’d get them to her later that evening when I was back home because of other errands I was running.

A couple hours later (in the midst of greeting the arrival of my out of town guests, getting my spray tan, running last minute errands, and other final details) I get an email from our coordinator once again asking for names and that she’d be sending over the payment link for us to pay AFTER we had just discussed that we needed more than a 24 hr turnaround time to make the payment and she’d said “not to worry about it.” We then received parking vouchers for me to forward to all the guests with STILL THE WRONG DISEMBARK TIME on it. Needless to say, had she communicated and responded to me two weeks ago, neither of us would be in this situation. Instead, due to last minute communication, I was up until 4am the morning of my wedding getting it all done (I had to be up by 6am).

I arrive at the hotel a little before 9am for hair and makeup, exhausted. Around 11am, my bridesmaid answers my phone and it’s the coordinator saying she sent an email again a little over an hour ago (while I’m getting my hair done) about needing the payment no later than 12pm per her VP.

I immediately stop hair and makeup to get on the phone with the VP to explain to her that I’d informed our coordinator of the guest count 2 weeks ago with no response or confirmation until just yesterday and, just like I’d explained to our coordinator, we could get the funds but due to the holidays it would take a couple business days so what was I supposed to do? At this point I evoked the “procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part” but future brides reading this, this is where you understand you are just a number to them. They do not care about you, they care about the sale. They do not consider your happiness beyond a good review. It was noon, I was supposed to get married in 4 hours…and according to how it was sounding on the phone, this would no longer be happening unless I scrambled up the payment.

Future brides, I spent an hour on the phone and crying in my father’s arms so stressed and upset that I broke out into hives, my face and neck swollen, so that my hair and makeup people (God bless them) were now having to work non-stop to help my mom put ice bags on me to help “de-puff” me while my father went to speak with my husband about the situation. By the time I calmed down to the point they were able to get my makeup on, my father had informed my mother that he and my husband had taken care of everything.

And I wish I could say now, that it was over and I ended up having a happy wedding…but I don’t give a one star review to just anyone - so if you’re still with me, here’s how the rest of my wedding day went.

I arrive at the ship as planned and board and my bridal party (specifically my mom, matron of honor, and closest bridesmaid who’d answered the phone to help take stress off me that day and handle logistics) do a walk-through to check on things. It is clear again, that the coordinator had not listened to me yesterday when I walked her through how I wanted everything set up. My bridal party spent the next half hour (when they should’ve been with me celebrating and taking photos) turning on all the fairy lights in the centerpieces, and organizing the gift table, sweetheart table, and welcome sign. By the time the groom party arrives at 3pm, with guests due to arrive at 3:30pm, my coordinator comes into the bridal room while we’re in the middle of photos to ask for my cake vendor’s phone number. Needless to say, I had given her name and contact information for this vendor weeks ago and had contacted the cake vendor myself after rehearsal yesterday to confirm she could arrive by 1:30pm to deliver (just in case our coordinator had not done this), and had sent the contact info again to my coordinator as part of my 4am “making sure you have everything you need for day-of” list! So the fact she was asking me when I had sent her this info twice now already was alarming. When I asked why she needed it, and if there was something wrong - she looked at me like she didn’t know what to say and in that moment I remembered upon boarding I had not seen the cake or desserts sitting out…

We were supposed to set sail at 4pm and be married underway at about 4:10-4:15pm. I find out right before the guests board that our cake and desserts have not been delivered. While we wait to hear if our cake vendor is on her way, our guests board between 3:30 and 4pm and our coordinator is in and out more than half a dozen times to ask me to confirm several guest names that are apparently “not on the list” and if they are allowed to board the ship. Each time, I was able to not only confirm that they were, but reference the final guest list where their names were, just adding to my frustration. Then, after 4pm, everything is quiet and the “first look” I was supposed to have with my father before the guests arrived, is now finally able to be had.

It is more than another half hour before the ship moves.

I’m told we’re ready to make our way upstairs and begin the ceremony, and at this point, as much as it pains me to say this - I am numb to everything. I do not feel excited, nervous, or all the other emotions many brides speak of on their day - I feel a part of me left my body to run it on autopilot because of how awful and stressful it had been. I did not shake when I grabbed my father’s arm, or cry when I saw my fiance standing waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I wasn’t even surprised when the DJ played the wrong walk-out song, because by this point, of course not much was going right and why should I expect it to? The alter I had spent hours making, was hung wrong, another thing I’d told the coordinator where I showed her how I wanted it hung as in other photos of the Yacht Starship Alter pieces, because my fiance is 6’6” and didn’t want it dangling in his face, was of course, draped lazily so that it was in my soon-to-be husband’s face when the wind blew.

After the ceremony my husband and I were sent with our photographer to the front of the ship for some 1:1 photos while our guests were escorted downstairs. Then, we did photos on the top deck and by the time dusk fell, the coordinator came up to tell us we needed to do dinner and I find out, once again, that despite the typed up timeline and what I had wanted, the guests had not eaten while our photos were being taken. So instead of being able to say hi to each of my guests at their tables and “make my rounds” before eating myself, I was rushed to the sweetheart table because I was told now that they couldn’t eat until after my husband and I were served.

To make everything more frustrating still, we’re so “crunched for time” that we had to make decisions with our coordinator about what we still wanted to do or not do because, come to find out, she’d never reached out to our cake vendor as I was told she would, so they ended up delivering our cake to THE WRONG SHIP almost an hour away! And instead of the coordinator coming in and just being honest about all of this, and giving us the option to do a dockside wedding to kill time until the cake could be delivered but not sacrifice our cruise time because of it, she decided to not inform us and left us waiting. Now, here we are, crunched for time and no longer able to do a cake cutting ceremony, a champagne toast and thank you speech, nor any of our other speeches from our matron of honor and best man, both who had prepared one.

Despite not having a cake cutting ceremony, the desserts were NOT to be part of the dinner buffet and meant for AFTER the main course. There was then supposed to be a sign or crew member to help ensure 1-2 desserts per person (for which we had ordered enough), but because that never happened, it was brought to my attention that the desserts had been taken before my family even made it to the buffet. Even if we’d had the cake cutting ceremony, due to the desserts being “up for grabs” at the buffet, we wouldn’t have had the chance to take photos and get our desserts first as the bride and groom.

I did not get the chance to eat the meal we paid for, I was rushed by the coordinator to get the dances going and the DJ was making his way down to talk with me about it “being time.” By the time the announcement is made to get everyone upstairs, I find out from my mother that the way the tables were dismissed for the buffet by the coordinator, the tables who my husband and I had wanted to get food first, were last to get their food, including my parents and family that had traveled out of state to be here. So instead of being able to enjoy my dance with my husband and my father, I am upset again because my family still hasn’t eaten, and we have maybe an hour before it’s time to disembark.

When the formal dances were over, I wasn’t in the mood to dance and enjoy myself, I met with as many people as I could and then I went up to the top deck for the rest of the time because at this time I am overwhelmed and wanting desperately to jump ship just to get some space to grieve about how the wedding I’d been planning and day-dreaming about for over a year, had turned into one of my nightmares. The songs we had asked to be played were second hand to those that other people were apparently requesting and multiple times my matron of honor had to go down to the DJ and ask him to please play more of the songs and the music the bride and groom specifically requested be played.

When we were pulling back into dock, we were supposed to have a send-off ceremony, but no announcement was ever made, and instead my guests were rushed off the ship before I was able to make it downstairs to say goodbye and thank you for coming. I was last off the ship when I should’ve been first, and by the time I made it to the parking lot, everyone was gone, and my wedding came to its end.

Overall, the lack of communication was awful and could have been handled way more efficiently which would have avoided a lot of stress. The crew was polite and treated us well. My guests said the food was good, but my husband and I will never step foot on Yacht Starship again, not even to celebrate our anniversary as we had hoped to do before all of this went down. I will never recommend them to any bride and groom to be, because this in the end, was the biggest waste of money.
