    Nothing short of amazing

    Great food, Very helpful planning our timeline of the wedding to the reception, beautiful place to take pictures, staff was wonderful, we didn't have to decorate they did everything for us which was nice. We also had our rehearsal dinner there.

    Wynding Brook Country Club

    We were very grateful to work with Amy and Wynding Brook Country Club for our wedding reception. She provided guidance and suggestions to ensure the day would run smoothly. This was a second marriage for us and we wanted to keep it simple. One of our main goals was to have good and hot food for our guests. Amy and her team was very successful in meeting all of requests. We knew we had chosen the right wedding reception venue when we first met with Amy, but our guests confirmed it by saying how good the food was and the atmosphere. We would highly recommend Wynding Brook for any event.

    our wedding/reception at Wynding Brook was fantastic and beautiful.

    Amy and her staff were amazing to work with. Everyone was so helpful. They made our day everything we had hoped for and more. It was extremely hot outside the day we were married Amy even passed out bottles of water to our guest to keep everyone hydrated. The room inside looked beautiful the food was great. Pricing for the venue and all that Amy and staff did was more than reasonable.

    Amazing Place with Amazing Views!

    Amy was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process! From meeting with my, then, fiancé and I down to the last minute details the week, day before, and day of the wedding. The entire staff was amazing and so accommodating. There was barely any hiccups and made my stress level unbelievably controllable with all their help throughout it all!

    Amy & her crew really know what they're doing with wedding receptions. This venue had been remodeled since I was there last. The new look gave the room a lot of splendor. Our pictures were great because they made sure no clutter was left on the tables after the meals were over. That was something I hadn't even thought about that much. Amy & Kathy were very accommodating and so helpful. The food was fabulous too! I got the prime rib, my husband got chicken cordon blue, and we had a lasagna extra that we took home and had for lunch the next day. All 3 meals were great! Can't be beat for the price!

    We had our December 15. 2012 wedding here. The food was top notch as well as great portion size (I am still hearing about how wonderful the prime rib and stuffed chicken breasts were), the service was excellent, employees were kind and friendly and Amy was a delight to work with. She made everything so easy, she was willing to offer helpful hits, and she took time out of her day to sit down with us whenever we asked.
    Thank you again Wynding Brook for helping to make our day so memorable!!

    The staff is wonderful to work with. Everything was what we expected it to be very professional also the food was served on time and tasted very very good. I also need to point out they went above and beyond to make sure our reception had everything we wanted and even offered to let us use decorations they had available.

    Wedding and reception

    My daughter planned an outdoor ceremony and reception here. On site ceremony was $500 in addition to reception area charges. All they provided was a wooden archway. Had to rent our own chairs. Friday’s rehearsal we set up chairs and found they had a mosquito infestation. Whole wedding party was covered with them in 15 minutes. Asked if they could fog the area and was told no they just tell people to wear bug spray. Knew about the problem but never informed bride . She left in tears and decided to move it inside for the comfort of the party and guests. Unexpectedly rained the next day so good planning move. Still was charged the $500 for onsite ceremony. Otherwise the food was good and service staff was excellent. Did not provide enough appetizers for everyone (veggies, dip, chip and pretzels). Otherwise event staff did anything possible to make day go smoothly. Upcharge on liquor was very high especially for the bridal dance. Food was very good. Gratuity was listed as 18 per cent but charged 20 per cent. Wasn’t worth the fight and staff did an excellent job. Inside venue was very nice but outside ceremony beware of mosquitoes. Use of a couple of golf carts was a nice touch for wedding party to do outside pictures around golf course.

    Nice Venue. Poor Management


    I had my wedding at Wyndingbrook Golf Club in October 23, 2021, and if I had to go back I would have chosen a different venue. I booked the property for an on site ceremony outside, indoor reception and lounge area for a photo booth. I was introduced to Kathy who was very kind to work with, but it appeared she was micromanaged by the owner Amy through most of the process.
    Kathy told me that in April I should contact them about a taste test for the food. When I called I was told to speak to Amy about it. When I called Amy she was very rude when I requested the tasting. We originally wanted a buffet and Amy pushed us to do plated meals instead because of COVID. When I asked to sample some of the buffet options she flat out told me she is not making that for a taste test. She said if we wanted to sample some of the plated meals she had leftovers from another wedding we could try, and then she would charge us for each dish we tasted. When I questioned her about this she replied “I don”t know who told you we do tastings here. What do you expect with the low amount you have to pay for this venue!?!?”
    After that I requested a face to face meeting where she was then willing to let us do a buffet, and she was a lot kinder when my parents and now husband were in the room with me. During this meeting Amy also informed us that she would charge us triple the cost for a bottle of liquor for our dollar dance. I believe this averaged close to $175 for a bottle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka. We were also told during this meeting that Kathy told another bride to schedule a tasting, which the venue does not do not do. Amy informed us Kathy thought it was a good idea (which it is) but Amy did not want them done. I never received an apology from Amy for the way she treated me on the phone.
    We decided to go with plated meals when COVID spiked this summer to make the venue happy, and I scheduled it all with Kathy. I then got a call about a month before the wedding from Amy saying that we could do the buffet. At that point we had already sent out RSVPs so it was too late to go back to a buffet. When I explained this to Amy she said she had not even looked at my paperwork to see we already agreed to do plated meals before calling me.
    For the wedding we were required to rent chairs for the outdoor ceremony through a specific company. We were responsible for setting the chairs up and tearing them down afterwards. Their staff only had to let the delivery people drop of the chairs.
    At the rehearsal the night before the wedding we attempted to have it outside and the mosquitoes were absolutely horrible. My now husband had huge welts all over his face from only being outside for 10-15 minutes. When I asked Kathy if there was anything that could be done about the mosquitoes I was told no and that they have had the mosquito issues for weeks and they tell the golfers to bring bug spray. This was never communicated to us before the wedding. My now husband asked if we could get the $500 back for the on site ceremony if we moved it inside due to the mosquitos. Kathy informed us that Amy told her we would still have to pay because they prepared that outdoor area for the wedding. The night before my wedding I was in tears trying to decide whether to throw away $500 or put my guests and bridal party through hell getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.
    My mother attempted to run to a hardware store to see about getting something to help with the mosquitoes to have the wedding outside. She was informed had we gotten 24-48 hours notice they had something we could have put in that area that would have killed the mosquitoes and there would not have been a problem. Since we were not informed about the mosquito issues until the night before there was nothing that could be done besides guests wearing bug spray.
    With our options to control the mosquitoes limited due to the very late notice, we made the decision to move the ceremony inside and had to contact all our vendors the night before to rearrange everything. To say I was in tears with stress was an understatement.
    The day of the wedding it ended up raining unexpectedly so we had to have it inside regardless. The wedding was beautiful and the food was very good. Kathy was very helpful the day of the wedding and attentive to what we needed. We were provided a place to get ready and they helped come up with a plan to keep me hidden until the grand entrance. Kathy also set up the rooms the way we requested and worked with our vendors as they arrived the day of.
    However a few issues we had the day of included us having ordered appetizers for cocktail hour but apparently they didn’t put out enough for everyone. When my mom asked them to put out more, because some people didn’t get any, they refused because they said they put out the amount needed for the number of guests we had. The biggest complaint my husband and I had was because the wedding got started late our timeline for when the food was be served was off. The staff clearly were annoyed and did not try to hide it. We were maybe a half hour behind schedule at most. We also were promised we would get the meals of the people who did not show up to the wedding, and we did not receive any of those meals.
    I would recommend Wyndingbrook for a business party or Christmas party but not a wedding. Kathy was a doll and kind to work with but I honestly have nothing nice to say about the owner Amy. Do not be fooled with the low cost of the venue because they will find other ways to get their money. For example on their website and throughout the planning process we were told they would charge 18% gratuity. When the bill came we were charged 20% gratuity for food and drink. This on top of a tip jar being at the bar as well for guests to tip. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. The amount of stress and tears that had to happen with this venue was not worth it in the long haul in my opinion.
