Pierpont is amazing
First of all, the whole venue is naturally gorgeous. It is a historic hotel, with a view of the beach, and has such a lovely antique charm. The Rose Garden is so beautiful on it's own, that we barely even needed and decorations. Likewise in the Pavilion for the Reception.
All of the staff are awesome. During the wedding, they were on top of EVERYTHING, and they were so kind while doing it. Stephanie, the banquet coordinator who helped us prepare everything, is a doll. We could not have done this wedding without her, she is amazing. Everything about my experience with the Pierpont is 100% possitive. -

Fairytale perfection
The Pierpont Inn’s antique charm, dreamy gardens, and proximity to the beach made it the perfect place for our wedding. The grounds have a ton of gorgeous views and beautiful scenery, so there are plenty of different backgrounds for photos. The hotel’s restaurant also provides the catering, which was delicious beyond expectation. The events staff we extremely helpful and receptive to the inevitable adjustments that come with weddings. We were able to easily arrange for a room block and all our guests who stayed there said how much they enjoyed it. We already have plans to stay again for our 1 year anniversary! -

I cannot even being to express how perfect this venue was and how perfect my wedding was. I'm not kidding or exaggerating; it was literally perfect.
The venue itself is a hidden gem. I would have never looked at it twice if it weren't for a client of mine insisting that I go look in person. I am beyond thankful for that push because it was exactly what I wanted. The ceremony site (rose garden) was like a snow white/fairytale area and the 2 cottages on that site made it perfect to get ready/ store all the decor items. The reception area (pavillion) is gorgeous! It is such a blank slate that you can easily go rustic or easily go glamorous. I chose glamorous and it was just beautiful. Stephanie is their catering manager and I don't know how to thank her enough. She was patient, kind, and went above and beyond for us whenever she could.
Overall my wedding has given me nothing, but the best memories and a lot of that is because of this venue. -

Such a beautiful experience with the Pierpont Inn. Thet were not only helpful and reasnably priced, but our wedding was amazing. There was some challenges because of rain, and all of the staff pulled together to make a beautiful arch way inside where we had to move the ceremony. I highly recommend this venue. -

We are so glad we chose the Pierpont for our January wedding. We had the most perfect day. Our ceremony was held in the rose garden, which did not need a single extra flower. It is beautiful on it's own. The Pavilion was the perfect place for our reception. Plenty of dancing space. The staff did a great job with set-up and serving our guests. Everything was on time and the food was delicious. It was so nice to not have to worry about rentals, deliveries, or an outside catering company. We stayed in the cottage next to the rose garden, which made everything even more special. Our guests were very happy with the rooms and all services. Thanks to Stephanie for accommodating all our requests and making sure everything was perfect. We could not be happier. -

After 2 years of engagement, my fiance and I decided to get married at the Pierpoint Inn in Ventura. After searching up and down the central coast, we couldn't have landed at a better spot, both in price and location. The coordinator, Stephanie Lundquist, was extremely accommodating in helping us put together everything we needed for the perfect wedding, all while staying within budget. The food options were excellent. The wait staff was prompt and professional. Plus, they lavished us with bonuses, including a free stay at one of their cottages. If you're looking to get married in the area, I couldn't recommend this location and its attentive staff highly enough. -

This place was the perfect setting for our wedding. Jecca was very accommodating and guided us through all of the little details. Our guests from out of town loved staying there. The staff was amazing and very professional. The guests loved the food. Even with the rain, our ceremony was beautiful. We are so glad we chose this place for our big day! -

The Pierpont Inn is fabulous for a wedding venue! My husband and I wanted a beach view for our venue and the Pierpont’s Beach Bluff is stunning. Although, you can hear the 101 traffic, it isn’t noticeable when everyone is chatting and the music is playing. The venue has a great flow from the ceremony, to cocktail hour to the reception. Along with the beauty of the venue, it is convenient for everyone. Our guests were thrilled by the location and grounds and guests who didn’t stay had an easy time finding parking and could leave their car if necessary.
As many people know, The Pierpont Inn is going through construction, but it really isn’t noticeable. The hotel has made great efforts to hide the construction and work on other areas of the hotel, like the landscaping. The flowers, grass and outdoor area looked beautiful.
Although the construction did make things a little nerve racking, the Event Planner, Nicole, eased all of my concerns. She was amazing! She returned all emails in a very timely manner, helped myself and parents with questions multiple times, and organized a perfect day. More times than not, she would anticipate my questions and have an answer for me immediately. Yes there were some bumps in the planning process, but they were minor and I trusted that Nicole would handle any and everything that came our way. Also, her assistant Jecca, was always very nice and available to step in and help too!
The Pierpont Inn felt like they actually cared about the wedding and the execution. Myself and family didn’t feel like we were working with a corporate machine, which was great. All of the staff at the wedding were so kind and friendly. Also, in our bridal suite we had a very sweet gift basket with a hand signed card from them!
I would 100% recommend The Pierpont Inn to anyone getting married in Ventura. It is affordable, beautiful and has an amazing staff!
Thank you for making my day perfect!

We had our wedding 2 weeks ago at the Pierpont Inn and it was amazing!! Nicole and Jecca were so helpful, and everything went so smoothly--and I didn't even have a wedding planner!! Everyone was so accommodating to any request I had. My guests keep raving about how beautiful the location and wedding was. I am so happy we had our wedding at the Pierpont, it exceeded every expectation I had!! -

The Pierpont Inn was an incredible place to have a wedding! Between the beautiful Rose Garden for the ceremony and the Pavilion for the reception, it was a perfect day. Working with Nicole Peters and Jesus was a pleasure and they made it so easy and fun to plan our wedding. The staff working the reception was attentive and worked efficiently, the food was the perfect temperature when it came out and the drinks were always topped off. I'd defiintely recommend the Pierpont to anyone who wants a beautiful California wedding! -

The Pierpont was a wonderful place for our wedding. We had a beautiful ceremony on the beach just a 2 min walk and a spectacular reception in the Anacapa room. Our out of town guests were able to stay on site and the entire staff were so accommodating and caring. Nicole was a gift from Heaven! Our wedding was a dream wedding thanks to the Pierpont Inn. -

Nicole at Pierpont Inn was a joy to work with. She was flexible and knowledgeable and her suggestions were spot on. Since we booked fairly close to the reception date and she didn't have any else booked, she gave us an incredible deal. We did a lot DIY and she was fine with that, provided ladders for decorating, a place to hold the flowers, etc. We were on a tight budget and didn't have to spend more than we anticipated.
The wait staff were very professional and on top of the flow of the reception. We were allowed to use the garden for the ceremony at no extra charge because they didn't have to set anything up. The grounds here are just beautiful as well as the view....a great place for pictures.
The FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!! and plentiful. We had a buffet and all the guests commented on how delicious it was. Everything was done right on time...even served a bit early because our ceremony ran shorter than we expected.
I would (and intend to) use the Pierpont Inn for our next celebration! They did an all around exceptional job! -

The Pierpont Inn exceeded our expectations for our daughter's wedding. The accommodations are beautiful, both indoors and outdoors. The location is grand, facing the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands, just a stroll from the beach, pier and downtown. The Spa House, Vickers Estate, Austin Suite and Cottages are fabulous for wedding party and family members, along with the standard rooms. It's a small resort feeling with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. A lovely garden area with gazebo. Charming and delicious restaurant. The Banquet Manager and Staff are above the top tier when it comes to professionalism, courtesy, attentiveness and detail oriented. Everything clean, everyone nice, the wedding menu selection is superb, reasonable and absolutely delectable. If you are looking for a place in Ventura to hold a wedding, a reunion, a business conference or a special event, consider the Pierpont Inn. It was fabulous. -

Hello Engaged Couples! My husband, Jon, & I had our wedding reception on Friday, April 17, 2015 (170ppl). We believe everyone should get married here! All of our guests say ours was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Lets start with the planning. About 3 weeks before the wedding, the hotel got a new catering manager, Nicole. This would seem nerve wrecking, but EVERYONE at The Pierpont is so on top of it, that we weren't worried. I do not know what I would have done in those final two weeks without her. We didn't have the budget for a wedding coordinator and so we did A LOT (including making the centerpieces) ourselves. She sourced better linens, in the perfect color, took all contact info for our outside vendors to help us coordinate day of, and dealt with all the crazy last minute things my family members were asking for. The AMAZING banquet staff went above and beyond with their service as well. Our wedding menu was hands down some of the best food that our guests have had. We still get comments like "Haven't had a better steak since your wedding." and "We go the Pierpont for dinner now because of your wedding." We had MANY people show up after having RSVP'd "No." So many, that I started to panic when I went to look for the banquet manager. He just smiled at me and told me not to worry, it was no problem, he would make it happen. He made it happen and I never had to worry.
The Pierpont Inn is by far the best value for your money. The quality of the included linens, cutlery, glassware, Chivari chairs, and elegance of the hotel itself makes it worthwhile. The food being well above the standard wedding food is a huge plus! But the real shining star of this venue is the staff. Everyone from the front desk, to catering/event, to banquet, to cleaning could not have been kinder or more helpful. They truly want your Big Day to be beautiful, unique, stress-free and fun.
Thank you again to EVERYONE at The Pierpont Inn! -

We hosted a wedding shower champage brunch for my daughter. The service was outstanding and the coordinator, Gina, did a great job working with our decorator and taking care of last minute details so we did not have to. THe event turned out wonderful. I would recommend the PPI to anyone wanting to celebrate their special event in a beautiful location that's reasonably priced. -

Severine is the best wedding coordinator out there! She is so helpful and this place is not terribly expensive! We had 110 guests and the cost was $12,000 for the ceremony, reception and the food. We did get our other vendors elsewhere but it was extremely worth it! Severine is very hands on and helpful! I loved everything about our special day. If you are thinking about getting married here...DO IT! The value you get is incredible and the experience is a dream. -

I held my wedding reception here. 4:30- 11:30. From day one, when we met with the old event coordinator, everything I planned for this very special day was well understood and delivered. My dream was beginning to transform into reality. Reality to me was having the right place, food, service and at the right $$. I gotta say, everything was beyond my expectations. I (we) was well taken care of at this place. 5 stars to ALL, from front desk to waiters. My guests mentioned that the service was great during dinner and the food was delicious. Our wed had a cocktail hour and the horsd'ourves tasty. I have no complaint at all. Like all weddings somethings gotta happen, even with a change of events manager in the beginning, at my wedding everything, went smoothly and EXACTLY how I wanted it. Jesus and staff dealt with my bridezilla moments and NEVER complaint, The were so sweet, flexible, accommodating and truly cared about MY wedding. Seriously, stop reading negative comments and take the time to stop by, I will definetly reccomend Severine, Jesus and staff to service your upcoming event. Good luck in planning YOUR event! -

I had my wedding at The Pierpont Inn on August 25th 2012. This is an absolutely beautiful location if you like nature (pretty grounds and the beach surroundings).
I booked my event a year in advance and a couple months after I found out they filed for bankruptcy and changed management.
I panicked at first but Polly Parento (the new event coordinator they brought in) was great. She honored everything that was on my original contract/and or emails.
The food was great. The catering manager was very good at his job. They served 150 guests (with 3 different entree choices) perfectly with no problems. All the guests commented on how good the food was. We served grilled chicken breast with sundried tomato cream sauce, strip steak with grilled onions and a wild mushroom demi glaze, and a vegetable lasagne plate for the vegetarians.
The cocktail hour hor's douvres (hot and cold) were very delicious as well.
The front desk managed passing out my Out Of Town guest bags sufficiently at my hotel guests check in. I had to check on them to make sure they were keeping the list current and right in front of them but they did good overall.
The Vickers Estate they offer the bride and her party is very quaint, nostalgic and has beautiful views of the ocean and a patio.
The grounds for the wedding were beautiful.
The room for the reception is outstanding and perfect. (Check our their facebook page for pictures of events)
I think if you are organized and don't rely on the hotel to do everything you will be fine.
If you like more modern hotels like the Crowne Plaza down the street it's right there for you but if you are a romantic at heart and love quaint, nostalgia, history, and beautiful grounds the Pierpont is the best place to me.
I will definitely use this venue again.
Location! Location! Location! :-) -

The Pierpont Inn was wonderful. They were flexible. Our set up was great! They food was perfect and everyone in attendance complimented how good it taste. Only minor negative was, they could not find all of the left over table gifts that guests did not take. Otherwise we have high reviews for them. -

I had my reception at the Pierpont Inn on 10.12.13 and it was beautiful! Our wedding had a lot of traditional values. We were married at St. Mary Magdalen's Chapel, where my parents and grandparents were married. The Pierpont Inn was where my mom's parents had their wedding reception and 50th wedding anniversary. It was very special to be able to share this day with my family. I had 2 wedding coordinators throughout the planning process and was nervous that my wedding would get mixed up since my oringal wedding coordinator left, but that was not the case. I worked with Regina the last months before my wedding and she was wonderful to work with. The Pierpont staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't have a worry in the world the day of our wedding, everything was perfect and so beautiful. We stayed in the large cottage the night before and the night of the wedding and loved it. We received a complimentary breakfast each night we stayed at the hotel which was wonderful. I would like to thank the Pierpont Inn for everything they did to make our event so successful! I recommend this wedding venue to anyone who wants a beautiful view of the ocean! The rose garden and lawn areas are also great place for pictures. -

We booked a block of rooms in August 2013 for some wedding guests from out of town, and were very pleased with the Pierpont. They are under new management, and from what we can tell this new management is doing a great job at restoring and improving the place. Many of the rooms have been renovated, and the rest will be soon too. So some of the rooms still seem a bit outdated, but shouldn’t be for long. All our guests mentioned that the beds were very comfortable, even in the rooms that haven’t been redone yet (memory foam we think), and there was a pretty extensive and good hot breakfast included every morning at no additional charge. The location is fabulous, right on the beach. If you’re thinking of staying here, you should also know it’s right next to the 101 freeway, but honestly when I was around visiting guests in various rooms, I couldn’t hear the noise from most of them. We would also like to compliment Severine (a manager I believe) because of how helpful she was with our group. We actually reserved the block of rooms with the interim management, who made a mistake. The Pierpont normally doesn’t allow reserving blocks except for events on the grounds (our wedding was off-site). But when we called to confirm the block with the new management, Severine was able to honor our reservation even though they technically didn’t have to. She continued to be a great help to us in answering all my emails very promptly, and then passing out our welcome packets to our guests as they checked in. The Pierpont is a beautiful old Craftsman building with a lot of character and charm. Ask for a quiet, renovated room, and you won’t be disappointed! -

The Pierpont Inn is situated on top of a hill overlooking Ventura Beach. The Inn is a historic landmark with wonderful charm! All of the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, although I was disappointed with the dining experience (prior to the wedding) and the fact that menu tasting was not included. The Pierpont offers a wonderful price for the ceremony/reception packages depending on your wedding size. Our wedding took place on one of the front lawns overlooking the ocean and was perfect for our 40 guests. We were able to block off rooms for all of our international guests, and although the small cottages were not available the day of/night of the wedding, they were able to offer the Austen Suite for our wedding night! The Austen suite was beyond perfect following the wedding and the large windows gave breathtaking views of the ocean! They were extremely accommodating to all of our family members and Severine made sure that all of our needs were met for our wedding day! -

This historic, quaint hotel is a perfect location overlooking the ocean - and something very different than the typical hotel in Ventura.
The hotel has also gone through major changes over the year; we took the journey with them... and in the end, we're very happy we did. When we first booked services in October 2011 they had a brand new coordinator and whole new management team. Soon after booking, we also found out they were going through bankruptcy and ownership issues. Yes, we had concerns. Yes, this made planning a wedding there feel stressful at times (especially planning from northern California). But, we kept pushing on because we sincerely LOVED it there, and we could truly tell they were working hard to turn the place around. We also began working with another new coordinator, Severine, who was fantastic.
Our wedding day was amazing and everything we imagined! It went so smoothly - great service, good food and clean, beautiful grounds. I would certainly recommend Pierpont Inn as a venue.
Just weeks before our wedding, they acquired new, reputable ownership - and I only hope things will just keep getting better and better for this lovely hotel. -

We got married at the Pierpont Inn in June 2017. The venue is amazing -- we used the Rose Garden for the ceremony, cocktail hour overlooking the ocean, and then the main indoor hall for the reception. The grounds were very well kept and the site was just gorgeous. The only reason I left a slightly lower rating was because, by no fault of either of theirs, the original venue coordinator we were working with left (Nicole) and we got a new one (Stephanie) about halfway through the planning stages and it was slightly frustrating to make sure nothing got lost in translation between the two coordinators.
The reception area was in construction when we booked but supposed to be done by the wedding, however, it wasn't. They did a pretty good job of masking the construction area but that was a bummer it wasn't complete. On the wedding day there was only one minor slip up with the food (evening snacks weren't prepped early enough) but that was a minor detail in the otherwise amazing wedding day we had.
The best part of this venue is the adjacent hotel (great for out-of-town guests!!) and the large house on the site that can be rented via other home rental sites. My family booked that and stayed there the week of the wedding and it was perfect planning. They should definitely market that house as an "option" for the wedding planning... it's a great amenity! If I were to do the day over again, I would still choose the Pierpont Inn!-

The venue is absolutely amazing, the grounds are magnificent and beautiful and speak for themselves. However, they switched management in the middle of our contract, which was a little bit frustrating and at times hard to get ahold of the new director. But all in all......everything came together on the day of my wedding and I could not have asked for a more wonderful day. -

I love the Pierpont Inn - the setting, the history, the fact that I've grown up in Ventura and I felt like we just had to get married here. It's a beautiful place, awesome views, amazing food, nice staff.
Unfortunately, we ran into a few snags that I'm sure are just related to poor management. Our linens were incorrect, our entire room block for my husband and i and all of our groomsmen, was released to the public and booked (if I hadn't called to check on everything, we would've been screwed), and it's hard to reach the catering manager at times (although I think they were swamped).
All in all, I would do another event there, and just keep in mind, you have to be very organized and not to rely on them to manage everything. We had a beautiful wedding and everything worked out in the end. -

Ditto!!! The overall day went well for the most part but the hotel staff did not communicate with me or eachother. You had to be really on it,the hotel is now under new management so these points may be null and void. The property is very quaint and beautiful and a great spot for a wedding. -

Pierpont Inn was overall an O.K. place. ALL the employees there DO NOT communicate to one another so it definitely makes it hard when you are trying to have a wedding.
After all the miscommunication and errors from the Pierpont staff at the beginning of the day, the rest of the day ran smoothly. Everyone had a great time and the pictures came out amazing. -

I understand that the hotel is going through a transition period, but to mess up my "night before I get married there" hotel booking not once, but TWICE is completely unacceptable. We booked the honey moon suite before Christmas, to be told 2 weeks before the wedding that it was double booked. Not convenient as I wanted to leisurely get ready for my big day without moving rooms which I would now have to. The night before my wedding we arrived for them to tell us they didn't even have our reservation on record! It was a Saturday night and the whole hotel was full. I was so upset. Fortunately, there was a room available, but not after a long wait and a huge panic and naturally the room was comped. Gina- the wedding co-ordinate- said that she would refund up half of the wedding cost, which was completely fair. Of course, only after the wedding when we chase it up, Gina goes back on her words saying that the room comp was included in the money back. How is it? Money back means literally that. Not "oh here's some money and that invisible $150(ish) you never gave us which only really costs us about $10 in cleaning fees". I expected the room to be free considering they messed up TWICE. We wanted more compensation for the upset they cause and they refuse to acknowledge what they said. The wedding went well but we felt second best as we only had our ceremony there, and a wedding the night before had had their (more costly) reception there. They were so busy sorting that out that they just didn't care about us and our day :( -

I booked my june 2011 wedding at pierpont in march of 2011. My parents and I were promised free rooms for the parents, rooms for the night before the wedding for the wedding party (included in the contract) and added those same rooms for the night after the wedding since it was to be on a sunday.
I was estatic! Beautiful location, and scenery. We signed the contract and put down the deposit. We were to get a call that weekend as to how many rooms we could reserve for the out of town guests since there was also a wedding on that Saturday.
We then got the call, that not only were there no rooms for the out of town guests, but that there were no rooms for the wedding party ( as verbally promised to us and also in the contract) and that they would not give the rooms to the parents for free (they weren't available always). They offered us a cut price to do it a few weeks before. But our out of town guests had already bought tickets and requested the time off. We were offered a lower price to have the wedding there but with no rooms for anyone.
We refused. They then said "under the unfortunate sercumstances" that they would return our deposit.
We got the deposit back, and went to their bank to cash it... And the funds were not in the account.
As I called around frantically looking for another place for my wedding, I have heard story after story of employees not getting paid, and wedding horror stories.
I would HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT use them. At all. We will no longer be affiliated with them. -
