Exceeded expectations!
Valeria was so wonderful throughout the entire process and I don’t think I could have done it without her. My wedding exceeded my expectations and it was the most amazing wonderful time of my life. We were so pleased and happy with the experience from start to finish. Wedding of our dreams
The staff at Wyndham Alltra went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and that we had the wedding of our dreams. More specifically, Valeria Santiago, the wedding coordinator was so wonderful to work with. She made us feel and proved that we were in complete capable hands. She helped us stay organized from beginning to end. We really felt at ease during the entire process of planning for our destination wedding.
The wedding package was very reasonable, and they worked with us on items from the package that we weren't interested in using.
The rooms were nice, and as the wedding couple they offered us an upgrade.
There was a sudden weather change the week of our wedding and definite rain forecasted. Not great considering our wedding was on the beach and ceremony on the garden terrace. Two days before our big day we went on a walk through of the alternate sites, and they quickly made the changes. The only thing that we weren't pleased with was the fact that we had to pay and extra $850 to move our reception to one of their nice restaurants, otherwise they would've accommodated us in one of their conference rooms which was not an option for us especially for a destination wedding. We felt that the conference room wasn't a comparable option at all. The ceremony site, was moved to Osheans, the sushi restaurant on the 9th floor (at no charge) and that was absolutely perfect.
About the hotel vendors, we would highly recommend to arrange a meeting with all of them. Valeria was wonderful at coordinating that. This part is a little challenging since you really don't have the luxury of word of mouth referrals so there's a lot of faith that needs to be had. All the vendors we used were referred by the coordinator, as she offered a few to accommodate our budget. First, my hairstylist Angelica (I think that's her name) was absolutely wonderful. I loved loved my hair. I sent a few inspirational pictures of what I wanted and she made it happen. Next our DJ Gilberto Uribe was really good, and worked within our budget without compromising the quality of his work. Our photographer, this is where I was't completely satisfied. First, I arranged a meeting with the person who I thought was our photographer, I specifically asked for samples of work, which is why we selected her. On the day of the wedding a different photographer showed up due to a medical emergency with the one we selected. We understand the challenges of the weather, but we weren't pleased with our pictures, some of the family pictures had shadows, and it seemed that the day was much darker than it was. The photographer also wasn't great about ensuring that my dress was fixed especially the train, so one of my guests took it upon herself to fix the train for the pictures. I will say that she was working hard, and again faced lighting issues as a result of the stormy weather. There's a few pictures we may use, but we'll be re-shooting back in California for a better picture.
Lastly, and the one I was most displeased with was the florist. They were arranged by the hotel so I never got the name of the florist. This was the one vendor that I did not meet with which was a big mistake. I sent inspirational photos for the centerpiece arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, with specific instructions to NOT use carnations and to NOT add any pink to the boutonniere. Well the centerpieces and bouquets had 3 different color carnations and the boutonniere of course had a pink carnation. The flowers on the cake were also appalling. We can't help it think that this wouldn't have happened had we met with the florist ahead of time. We didn't ask for anything back in return, but we did warn the coordinator that this vendor should not be used.
Even then our day was magical, and that was thanks to all the staff at Wyndham Alltra, and especially Valeria. We would highly recommend this place for a destination wedding. Hello Martha,
Thank you for your comments,
I really appreciate that you leave me your feedback here so that I can work on all the areas of opportunity that the hotel had at your wedding and improve them.
I am very sorry that the florist has not fulfilled the photos of your inspiration, the hotel has decided to no longer continue working with this supplier for wedding events.
Once again I apologize, I hope I can have the opportunity to have you back at the hotel so I can organize a couple photo session for your next anniversary.
You have my personal number, anything you need don't hesitate to write to me 😊
I send a warm hug to you and Joseph 💕

Tying the knot at Wyndham Alltra Vallarta
My wife and I are completely satisfied with our wedding this past weekend. I am not devaluing the hotel with this statement when I say that the difference was the wedding planner, Valeria.
