    Definitely recommend!

The space was great for out reception, guests loved looking at the art in the gallery during the cocktail hour. The event coordinator Jennifer, was amazing, so flexible and easy to work with. The space looked amazing, the provide tables and chairs as part of the rental also.

The Workhouse Arts Center is a gem of a wedding and reception venue. They did a great job of making sure our wedding was stress-free. And, their event coordinator, Karen, did a great job of taking care of all of our wedding specifications. The venue itself has a ton of visual arts exhibits and artists, so our guest were able to walk around and explore before the ceremony and while waiting for our photo shoot to finish. Our wedding/reception was held in their main art gallery which provided a great backdrop for our day. And, the campus' architecture made for some great wedding photos.

Historic space, artistic and friendly vibe, and affordable!

The Workhouse Arts Center is a unique historical, artistic space and a perfect fit for us. Aysha on the events team was wonderful to work with beginning to end. She was very responsive, enthusiastic, and helpful throughout the planning process. The space itself is flexible and has a lot of perks including tables and chairs included in price. We used two of the spaces in one night for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and it turned out beautifully! Thank you to Workhouse and the team for helping us create wonderful memories from our wedding!

Despite a few hiccups, I constantly recommend this venue to friends who are starting to plan their own weddings. The space is a lovely two-floor showing space for rotating galleries by local visual artists. This building sits at the head of a campus with a large grassy quad and a dozen smaller buildings that house artists' studios, which were open for our guests to peruse while they awaited the bride and groom. If you want a typical hotel wedding, look elsewhere: the Workhouse Arts Center has far too much character. If you want old bricks with ivy in your photos and paintings and sculpture on display all around your guests, then this is where to look. Issues in communication for us arose from multiple instances of staff turnover as the facility continued to find its footing as an event space, having been in operation as such for only a year or two after the campus's conversion from a previous purpose. With a growing and stable full-time staff and more detailed statements of policies, the Workhouse Arts Center will be attracting far more attention over the next decade.
