Our experience with the Woodward House / San Antonio Women's Club was excellent. Martha, the person in charge, was very helpful and always had time to help us organize the wedding. They were very flexible to our requests (we chose our own caterer, etc.) and helped us with a lot of last minute details. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue for anyone with a wedding of 100 guests of fewer.

If you like castle/mansion- like houses and banisters plus designed rooms to cater a pictureque atmosphere this is the house.
The balcony adds more room for people to walk out for a wonderful view and quieter conversations.
In 2010 my husband and I were married there. All went off without a hitch. It was my dream come true for a beautiful wedding.

The Woodward House is a beautiful historic venue in San Antonio, TX. The venue coordinator, Martha, was very helpful. The price for renting the venue was very reasonable and there are several options you can choose from. The only issue I had: I drove by the venue about a week before my wedding day and noticed scaffolding on the side of the building. I called Martha and asked if the scaffolding will be removed on my wedding day, the reason I choose this venue was the beauty of the house and the scaffolding absolutely ruined it! After a few phone calls back and forth Martha assured me that it would be a hassle but her workers could remove the scaffolding before the wedding. Martha allowed me and my Mom to come Friday and spend the whole day preparing for the wedding. Overall beautiful venue for a great price and helpful venue coordinator!
