Allen was amazing! This venue was perfect and he was sooo nice and helpful! He answered any question I had and more. He knows what he is doing and does it well!

This venue is the most beautiful place to be married at. The wonderful owner Alan allowed us to come and visit the venue many times in order to ensure the perfect ceremony. The garden was stunning allowing for great pictures and overall was a great experience

Mr. Alan was so amazing! He opens up his beautiful home for couples to have their dream wedding. With woodlawn plantation you get the best bang for your buck, you get to have the ceremony and reception all at one location, everything is gorgeous, and mr. Alan does everything in his will to make this day as special as possible. If you're looking for a beautiful Scenic location without going completely broke, look no further!

The farm is just beautiful. We had our daughters wedding here and could not have had a more beautiful venue. Alan is wonderful! The ceremony was under one of the many beautiful old oak trees. The reception was at the barn and is magical with the twinkling lights at night. The sunsets are just stunning! We would recommend this venue over and over again.

We had our wedding at Woodlawn Plantation & Gardens September of 2017, and the venue could not have been more perfect! Woodlawn holds its own personality but is very adaptive to whatever you are looking for, from elegant to low-key! Alan the grounds manager, was a delight and so very helpful with everything!

Woodlawn Plantation and Gardens is amazing! Alan was such a joy to work with and was so helpful during our big day. If you haven't booked an appointment to view the grounds, please do so! You will fall in love with the giant oak trees and natural beauty of the area. Alan has done such a great job at including rustic pieces to the grounds. Woodlawn Plantation and Gardens is an absolute steal and worth the trip to Guyton.

Woodlawn Plantation and Gardens was just Beautiful! It is very well maintained and everywhere you turn throughout the property is something to see! So much character and charm in this Southern Plantation! Alan is so easy to work with and makes you feel as though you are right at home from the moment you arrive!

Our wedding was amazing. Right when my husband and I drove up to the plantation it took our breath away. One walk around the property, and we booked it right away! We knew it was perfect for us. The property is amazing, and so is Alan. He goes above and beyond!

Wonderful venue! We got married in December and Guyton had just had a freeze so all the flowers and greenery had died, and it was still a beautiful place! I can just imagine what it looks like in the spring. My theme was Southern Vintage Chic and all I wanted was to be married on a real plantation in Savannah and this place was perfect. Thank you to Alan for his great hospitality!

WOW is all i can say. I recently was married here and everything was far beyond anything i could have ever dreamed of. Alan your hard work never went unnoticed. Thank you for everthing you helped us with. I, of course, would recomnend this venue to anyone. Bigger things are definately coming your way.

This place is beautiful and has so many possibilities for places to say you vows. I cannot say enough about the caretaker, Alan. He is awesome and went above and beyond what he had to do to make everything perfect.

Woodlawn provided the perfect backdrop for our rustic romantic wedding. They have gorgeous places for wedding photos. We loved the fact that they had a kitchen for us to use as well as several different locations to choose from for the wedding ceremony to take place. We also loved that they fit into our budget.

Woodlawn plantation was the first and only place that I looked at because of its beauty. Absolutely love the scenery and the staff. Great place!

My daughter Jessie used Woodlawn as the venue for her wedding. It is a beautiful place with lots of opportunities for teriffic photos. The caretaker Allan was vantastic and went out of his way to make us feel welcome at at home. We had such a wonderful experience at Woodlawn before ,during and even after the wedding. I will always remember Allan with fond memories, he is, TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD. Woodlawn Plantation is such a whimsical beautiful place, I would recommend it to everyone.

Woodlawn is a beautiful place. Alan is a very welcoming person and let's everyone know what his rules are there. Although he was a little scatterbrained a week before a wedding, it's understandable with as many people come through there. I appreciated the fact that we had the venue for the weekend, rather than just one day. This venue is laid back and relaxed, so it went very well with our intended idea of our wedding.

This was a beautiful place for my wedding! We had an amazing time and it was a beautiful place to be. I loved that we could all get ready at the place and I didn't have a hard time "hiding" from my groom. The only downfall is having to have a back up place in case of rain.

Very beautiful farm for somebody who wants to do cheap and a very rustic look. It really does bring out the beauty of nature.

If you are looking to be micro managed and have an extra guest at the wedding then you’ll be fine. When you book and pay for a venue you should be left alone, Alan followed all wedding party and planners everywhere putting in his 2 cents not-and upsetting my bride all day by refusing things she wanted. I would think a wedding venue would know how particular brides could be but he laughed at everything she was specific about. The day called for rain but ended up being gorgeous had we listens to him she wouldn’t have gotten what she wanted. The property is gorgeous but the way it was micro managed is any brides worst nightmare, he yelled at the bride and groom when they went to the side porch for a moment-when you rent an airbnb or any party rental the owners are not allowed to step in at anytime or come back and make sure you are using their machines correctly. After the even if there were issues it would all be addressed. As a member was cleaning Alan stole the garbage can and told her not to ask him any questions and stomped away like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum.

Brides beware! I was a bridesmaid this past weekend & this was such an awful experience. The owner Alan made our Bride and guest miserable. He was constantly following the bridal party around, following the wedding coordinator around micromanaging everything. He snapped, and yelled at my kids for playing. He made it very clear he doesn't like kids (told us they couldn't walk on the stairs that led to the bridal suite--but that was the only way in). This place definitely is budget friendly but the bridal suit is one tiny room with an attached toilet (not a bathroom--THERE IS NO DOOR/CURTAIN, so all of us had to use the bathroom with everyone in the room). To top it all off--our bride and groom walked down the isle after being pronounced and he followed them and told them they couldn't get on the back patio. WTH! They had just gotten married and said vows and wanted a private moment, and there he was! I would only use this venue if your on an extremely tight budget, otherwise your asking for a day filled with Alan micromanaging everything you do while being rude to your friends and family.
